    Simple BeingKeter

Anywhere you like, sit down and just be. Let your body find its own natural rhythm of breath.Relax, yet remain alert. Gently set your mind upon your breath, focusing upon the exhalation and the space at the end of exhalation, letting your mind enter in

to that gap. Do not close your eyes while you do this. Keep them at least partially open, so that while having perhaps a third of your attention upon the breath, two thirds remains free, completely aware of where you are and everything that is transpiring. After you have followed your breath in this way for sometime, let go of the breath and just be aware of Gods presence within and all around you. You are perfect as you are; everything is perfect as it is. It is enough, just being! Praise God!

    The Power of AffirmationKeter

There is an innate goodness/godliness in us. It is our soul of light. The divine name of Keter,Eheieh, reminds us of this goodness and the power of affirmation when we use thephrase I am in conjunction with a positive phrase about ourselves. Through affirmations, we draw upon our innate goodness and invoke the blessings of the Holy One upon ourselves. Affirmations can be in all manner of forms, from purely spiritual or heavenly to practical or earthly the two, in fact, being one and the same. Affirmations that we create for ourselves tend to be more powerful,as they are in our own language or way of speaking, and are an expression of thecreative spirit that we are at the level of our inmost being. The following are some possible affirmations:

I am the light of the world, the light of the Messiah is in me, and I will let the light shine form within me. I am the holy vessel of the Christ-presence, and I am at-one with the Christ-presence; as I walk in the world, I bear forth the Light of Christ. I am a holy person, the Holy Spirit works with in, and through me to accomplisheverything good I am successful in all that I do. I am good at my work; I can and I will be able to do every task given to me well I will shine in my job. I am healthy and happy; I am successful and prosperous. I am loving and will experience love. Etc.

    Light-Womb MeditationBinah

Sit down and imagine that you are in the womb of the Holy Mother. Envision yourbody formed of light, with the spiritual sun shining in your heart, and a greatsea of light all around you.Listen to the beat of your heart, and within behind he beat of your heart, hearthe beat of the Mothers heart; listen to the thoughts in your mind, and within behind your thoughts, hear the thought of the Mothers mind. Speak with your divineMother and hear her speaking in you. When you have communed with the Mother inthis way, take up the chant Ama-Aima. As you chant, merge yourself completelywith the light-presence of the Mother. In the silence following the sacred chant, abide as the light.

    Binah

Sit upon a chair, as upon a holy throne, and imagine yourself as a child of light sitting upon the lap of the great Mother. Feel your breath and the beat of your heart the life that is in you and all around you the presence of God the Mother. Breathing out, let go, and breathe yourself into her, letting yourself merge into her. At one with her, abide in her. In her, whole and complete, perfect

as you are, you are she and she is you. This is the delight of perfect meditation.

The Woman of Light, Mother Israel MeditationBinah

Envision the spiritual sun within your heart and gather yourself into it. Letting go of the surface and all movements on the surface, go deep within, as thoughinto the womb of the self. Then, imagine you are seated on top of a mountain under the starry night sky, with the moon rising in the east. As the moon rises above the horizon, as if by magic, the image of Mother Israel appears, standing on the moon.

She wears a crown of twelve great stars and is clothed with the sun, and she ispregnant with child full of the grace and glory of God. The moon disk shines under her feet. Heavenly hosts holy angles surround her and all of creation singspraise to her. Within behind the songs of praise, there is the celestial harmony of the stars. Feel the presence of the woman of light, the peace and joy ofMother Israel, and let the holy Shekinah pervade you to your core. If you seek liberation from darkness and klippot, pray for liberation; if you seek haling, pray to the mother for healing; if you seek spiritual gifts, pray forspiritual gifts; if you seek illumination, pray to the Mother for divine illumination. Whatever you seek, ask the Holy Mother, and abide in perfect faith thatit is granted to you and so it shall be. When you have prayed to the Mother, take up her chant, and hear the whole of creation and the heavenly hosts take up her chant with you:

o Ha Isha Ha Elyona, Aima Israel (The Woman of Light, Mother Israel) As you chant, imagine that you become pure light and that you, as the light, pour into the image of the woman of light, so that at the end of the sacred chant you dissolve into her. Abide in silent unity with the divine Mother as long as you can, whether it be but an instant or a longer duration entertain this perfectpeace and joy. When thoughts arise in the mind, and consciousness is set in motion again, thenchant in worship of the divine Mother:o Aima Elohim (Mother God) At the end of this chant abide in the knowledge of yourself blessed by the holyMother, her divine presence within and all around you, and sit still for a whileabsorbing and grounding the spiritual energy of the Mothers blessing. You live, move, and have your being in her. Al that appears is as her divine body; all sounds are as her heavenly voice; all thoughts and feelings are the radiance of her wisdom mind.Practice this holy awareness in your daily living this is Mother Messianic consciousness, the Mother of enlightenment! Amen.

    3/27

Reach up with your hand and touch the sphere of light above your head, and intone Atoh, drawing the light down as you touch your forehead. Then bring your hand straight down to your throat, seeing the light descend there, and intone Io Adonai. Bring your hand down the middle of your body, seeing the light descend down through you into the earth below, and with your hand pointing to your feet, intone Malkut.

Then bring your hand back up the middle of your body to your heart and extend the light to your right shoulder, and touching your right shoulder, intone Ve-Gevurah. Then extend the light to your left shoulder, and touching your left shoulder, intone Ve-Gedulah. Clasping your hands in front of your heart, as in prayer, envisioning the lightof the cross within you, intone Le-Olam, Amen.

    Upper Room MeditationDaat

Sit in a place where you will not be disturbed. Bring your attention gently upon your breath, allowing your body to find its own natural rhythm of breath. As

you breathe, relax, yet remain completely alert, letting go of all tension, stress, or negativity to just be present in the moment. When your body is relaxed and your mind is calm, envision the spiritual sun within and behind your heart and envision your whole body becoming light. Then imagine that there is an upper room above you a room filled with light, asthough there is a luminous assembly of holy prophets and apostles, sages and saints, in sacred discourse.Feel yourself becoming lighter and lighter, and envision that you ascend into this upper room in a body of light, to sit among the holy ones gathered there. The upper room appears as a vast chamber. The Lord and Holy Bride are in the center. Above the image of the Lord and Bride is a presence of white brilliance a l

ight-presence of diamond-like light. Around the presence of the anointed is thesacred circle of the twenty-four holy elders. Around the sacred circle of elders are circles upon circles of apostles and prophets, saints and sages, and evenholy angels of God. The Lord is silent and the Holy Bride is giving teachingson the holy mysteries.Envision yourself among them. Open your mind and heart to the divine presence and power in the upper room look and see, listen and hear, and see what knowledgeyou receive from the luminous assembly. When you feel it is time to leave the luminous assembly, envision yourself descending as you ascended, seeing yourself once again in the body below with the spiritual sun shining in your heart. Let the energy settle and allow yourself to ground fully before departing the place of meditation, contemplating your experience of the upper room. Close the meditation with prayer, giving thanks to the divine for your experience and what you have received give praise and thanksgiving to God.

Mind to Mind Contact with the Holy TzaddikimHesed Go to a place where you will not be disturbed. Light a candle and some incense. Then follow the steps of the Silent Witness meditation. While your consciousn

ess is inwardly gathered into the spiritual sun, pray that God sends a holy tzaddik to commune with you mind to mind and heart to heart that divine grace mightflow and a strong and true connection might be formed.

Pray that God gives a host of forty holy angels charge concerning you, to come and form a matrix of light around you so that the environment is completely positive and good, and no deceiving spirits or klippotic forces can enter into it. P

ray that the divine presence purify and bless you and abide with you in your meditation. Let your heart pray as you are inspired. Then be silent and shift your focus to the center above the head become the silent witness. Instead of turning downward to watch the mind and heart, turn upward and open yourself to the Holy Shekinah and the luminous assembly. Listen andhear, and let your self be completely receptive to the divine presence and powerthat manifests. Perhaps there will be a heavenly voice.

The aim of this method is not a vision, but rather a mind-to-mind and heart-to-heart transmission. It may well be that only after the meditation you become aware of a transmissionhaving occurred. In any case, at the close of the meditation, give thanks and praise to the HolyOne of Being for what you have received whether something or nothing. For any practice like this to truly be effective, it must be part of a daily continuum of prayer and meditation. It is best to use this method in conjunction with other practices, like meditations on the Mother, Yeshua, or the Holy Bride, using another meditation as a daily practice and this meditation one to three times a week. As with any true spiritual practice, it may take some time to bearfruit. One must be patient and consistent, and learn to wait upon the Spirit of

the Lord. All good things come to those who wait.

    The Silent WitnessHesed

Gather yourself inward, within behind your heart, letting go of the surface. Envision the spiritual sun of Christ indwelling behind your heart and gather yourself into that light-presence. Let go of the dream-like past and all thoughts ofthe future. All tension, stress, and negativity let melt away in the light ofthe spiritual sun (radiant awareness).Just let go and let be, and abide in the spiritual sun within behind your heart. As you sit in meditation in this way, shift your focus to a point above your hea

d the transcendental center about twelve inches above the head. Centered abovethe head, become the silent witness. Whatever thoughts and emotions occur, do not follow after them, grasp at them or identify yourself with them. Do not do anything with them at all; neither invoking them, banishing them, nor judging them. Merely watch the radiant display of the mind and heart, uninvolved as the silent witness without any judgment whatsoever. This is the whole aim of the practice.

    Divine ProtectionGevurah

When you feel in need of divine protection, it is good to chant the divine nameof Elohim Givor. As you intone the name, let the vibration fill your body and the entire space around you, and let the name fill your mind so that your mind merges completely with the name. When your chant is complete, let your heart prayfor divine protection and the grace of the Lord and so it shall be. Alternatively, chant the name, let the vibration of the name fill you and the space around you, and visualize a circle of great fire magically appearing aroundyou, into which no darkness or evil can enter. Envision a burning angel appearing, with a sword of flashing fir in his hands, a guardian of the sacred circle.Wherever you go, the circle of great fire and the burning angle will be with you. When you no longer have need of the burning angel, give praise and thanks to

God for divine protection, and pray the holy angel be released from its charge concerning you. If you perform this practice for someone else, simply envision them in the circle rather than yourself.

  • 8/4/2019 Tree of Life Exercises

    5/27

In the same way the burning angel is invoked, the archangel Kamael can be invoked when the need for divine protection is great. Chanting the divine name, chantthe chant of Kamael (Ah Ya Ko Ma Kamael) and envision the divine image of Kamael magically appearing in the space before you, with his great sword of truth inhand. Pray for divine justice and tikkune in the situation for which you haveinvoked the great angel and offer the situation up before the Lord in prayer, letting go to the divine will. This invocation is typically performed by initia

tes in response to greater injustice in the world beyond themselves. Equally, one may simply envision the spiritual sun in ones heart and ones wholedy transformed into the spiritual sun a fiery light that transforms everything it touches into itself (the light presence). No evil or darkness can draw near to one who abides as the spiritualsun the Spirit of Messiah.

    Healing Meditation with YeshuaTifferet

Pray to the Lord for healing. As you pray, envision the image of Yeshua the hea

ler magically appearing in the space before you. He wears a white robe of a soft ivory shade and over his head has a white shawl made of the same cloth. He has an olive complexion and deep brown eyes, filled with love and compassion. Hissmile is subtle and comforting, and his presence fills one with faith and confidence. There is subtle golden light all around him and a feeling of a great angelic presence. Chant the name of the healer Ah Da Na Ya Yeshua, Adonai Raphael (Lord Yeshua, Ld healing power of God). As you chant, envision the golden light around the image of the Lord increasing and growing brighter. When you come to the end of thechant, envision the hands ofthe Lord as hands of light, and see him come to you and lay hands on you. Envision him reaching into your body with his hands of light and touching your pain or discomfort, the healing light flowing to the cause of your pain. The place of

pain in the body is a darkness, which the Lord fills with golden light, healingyou. When the Lord has shared the healing power and removes his hands from you, listen inwardly for the word of the Lord. Listen to what the divine presenceinstructs you to do or to the blessing the divine presence imparts. There is often a word of knowledge or message given. Then envision the image of the Lord magically disappear as he appeared. Give Thanks and praise to God for the divineincarnation and the healing power.

Essential Meditation upon the Risen OneTifferet

Envision within behind your heart the image of the spiritual sun and gather yourself into it. Let you whole mind and body be filled with this light-presence, all darkness or negativity passing away. From within the sun in your heart, seea ray of light shoot forthand magically appear in the space before you as the image of the Risen One. His inner robe is white brilliance, and his out robe is amethyst. His body shines as though composed of sunlight and there is a rainbow aura surrounding him, the red band near his body and the violet band at the outermost edge. See the Lord smile upon you and let your heart pray. As you pray, see the Lordsmile upon you, and see him bless you. Envision his blessing as streams of light pouring out of heart upon you, making your body, and heart, and mind shine brighter and brighter like unto theimage of the Lord.

When your prayer becomes silence, open your mind, heart, and life completely tothe presence of the Lord, making yourself completely transparent before him. Asyou chant his blessed name, envision the divine image of the Risen One dissolvi

ng into fluid light, pouringdown into you through the crown center on top of your head, and reappearing in your own body of light. Adonai Yeshua, Yeshua Messiah Chanting, your mind becomes the mind of Christ, your heart becomes the sacred heart of Christ; your body becomes the mystical body of Christ; and you are at onewith the Lord. There is light upon light in the space of the meditation, and t

hat light is the light of the world.Abide at one with the Lord as long as you can. When you depart the space of meditation, walk in the world as the Christ-bearer. It is good to meditate in a special room set aside for it or in front of a shrine in your home. When praying and meditating, it is good to offer up incense andcandles, all as one is inspired. Do as you like in this regard. After some time of daily practice with this essential meditation, then it would be good to try the transference of consciousness method. Basically, the meditation is the same, except the divine image magically appearson its own, when you chant the blessed name, instead of visualizing the image of the Lord dissolving into fluid light and pouring into you, envision yourself dissolving into fluid light and pouring into the image of the Risen One projectin

g your consciousness as light up through your crown center into the presence ofthe Lord, thus uniting yourself with the Lord in this way. This can give one freedom to engage in inner-plane working and prepares one for the transference ofconsciousness at the time of death. There is not enough space to cite the greatvirtues of this practice or how it is used in conjunction with the wonder-working arts but those whopractice it faithfully will come to understand the greater vistas.

    Riding Upon the MelodyNetzach

Sometimes prayer does not come easily. Perhaps we are a bit down or not in theright mood. In such cases, music can prove very helpful. Likewise, listening to music itself can become prayer, meditation, and worship, all depending upon ones intention. Riding upon the melody can uplift our heart and minds so that we might be inspired to prayer, and it may become a way of prayer, meditation, and worship itself. Choose music that is uplifting and inspiring and that has a spiritual connotation to you.Play the music and let your mind and heart rid upon the melody. Let the music fill your mind and heart and carry you in ascent into the embrace of the beloved. In the same way, you can take the inspiration drawn from the music and let it become prayers of your heart, giving praise and thanks to God and rejoicing in thepresence of the Holy One. Where there is joy, the Shekinah is swift to come upon those who invite and welcome her, and the Holy Spirit is naturally attractedto a heart filled with light and gladness. Through gesture and the body, one can also pray and worship. Letting good musicfill you, your prayer and worship can be shone through gesture and dance. Allthat is necessary is conscious intention. While you entertain the sacred dance, you can also visualize Lord Yeshua and Lady Mary Magdalene dancing with you, and the spirits of holy saints and angels gathered with you in the presence of God, worshipping the Lord your God in spirit and truth. Alone at home, you can easily find yourself in the midst of a luminous congregation.

    Contemplative MeditationHod

When you wish to engage in contemplative meditation, choose the subject/object of contemplation and sit down in a place where you will not be disturbed. Let your body find its own natural rhythm of breath and relax while remaining alert. When you are centered, fill

your mined with the subject-object of contemplation; systematically going over every detail you know on the subject/object, thinking of nothing other than thisone subject/object. When you have exhausted everything you know about the subject/object, let go of it completely and abide in silent meditation, as though leaving it to your holy soul. If your mind begins to wander, engage in the contemplation again, going over it completely and then once again letting go of it in silent meditation. Do this several times and whether something comes or not, conclude the session of contemplation and go about other business of your day.Once seeding your deeper mind your subconscious in this way, it will continue the contemplation. It is like fishing: The contemplation is baiting the hook and the silent meditation is throwing the line into the water. Sometimes you will gain new insight a

nd knowledge quickly, while on other occasions something will come only after aperiod of time passes. There will be other times when you will go away having caught nothing. It is not uncommon that insight and knowledge may flood the mindat another time when you are not actively practicing the contemplative meditation. Sometimes, the new insight or knowledge might even come by way of a dream. One may have to contemplate and meditate upon a subject/object many times before any response comes from the divine intelligence. Whether knowledge and understanding comes swiftly or takes some time, practice contemplative meditation frequently upon the subject-object until insight and knowledge comes. If you contemplate the subject-object consistently, you will always gain what you seek in dueseason. Those who master the art of contemplative meditationare able to direct their mind to a subject/ object and gain knowledge and understanding instantly, as though something from nothing.

If one desires to, one can light a candle and a stick of incense while one practices contemplative meditation, and one can pray beforehand that God might empower ones meditation.Likewise, it can be helpful to chant divine names that correspond to the subject-object of ones meditation or to invoke the spirits of the saints and holy angels(tzaddikim and maggidim) into it. However, the method of contemplative mediation remains the same and can be used alone without any supports.

The Invocation and Meditation of John the BaptistYesod

Much insight into the Holy Gospel and divine incarnation can be gained by meditation upon the maggid, John the Baptist. Likewise, through invocation of the spirit of John, knowledge of the prophets and the way of the prophets can be acquired. When gnosis of deep mysteries is sought, it is not uncommon for an initiateto enact the rite of baptism and go on retreat in the wilderness to invoke thespiritof the prophets and practice meditation on the maggid. Pray the invocation:o Eheieh, El Shaddai, Adonai O Holy One of Being, grant me the blessing ofcommunion with the spirit of the prophets. In the name of Moses, Samuel and Nathan, and Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. In the name of the Anointed, the Bridegroom, and Holy Bride, O Spirit of the Prophets, Spirit of John the Baptist, come and be with me. Appear in my mind, speak in my heart, and illuminate my life impart the blessing of your presence upon me, and let us commune in the Spirit o

f Holiness. Having invoked, envision the divine image of the maggid magically appearing in the space before you, clothed in a camels hair garment with a leather belt, his ha

ir disheveled and his eyes wild and piercing. One foot is upon a flowing riverand the other upon the earth, and the whole image is radiant with glory the image of the prophet being formed of translucent light. Sometimes names of God and of the prophets are chanted, and other times the meditation remains in silence, all according to inspiration. Perhaps the spirit ofJohn will speak to you, or perhaps he will touch you and bless you. A word of knowledge might come or a secret mystery

might be disclosed; sometimes one might see a vision. Whether something or nothing at all, let whatever happens happen. When the meditation is complete, envision the prophet baptizing you with light and glory, your own body-mind radiant with light, and the image of the maggid vanishing as he appeared. Then give thanks to God for the divine revelation that transpires through the prophets and praise the Lord. This is the most basic meditation of John the Baptist.

    The Middle PillarYesod

Sit or stand, as you like, and set your mind upon your breath, letting your body

find its own natural rhythm of breathing. Gather your consciousness within behind the heart and calmly abide for a few moments just be. Shift your focus to the top of your head and envision on top of your head a sphere of brilliant whit light diamond-like light that sparkles with the colors of the rainbow, as though crystalline. Imagine that you are breathing through thiscenter on top of the head and breathe at least three cycles of inhalation and exhalation through the center. Then bring the center to life with the intonationof Eheieh at least three times. (Three cycles of breath and intonations of thecorresponding divine name is the minimum number for each center in practice). Envision that a channel of light descends through the top of your head down to your throat and that a center of translucent lavender light forms at the throat.Breathe through this center. Then awaken the center by intoning the divine name of Yahweh Elohim.

Envision that the light continues its decent to the center of the torso at the solar plexus and forms a center of translucent golden light there. Breathe through this center. Then awaken the center by intoning the divine name of Yeshua (alternatively, Yahweh Elohenu can be used). Envision the light progressing in descent down to your groin region and forminga center of translucent violet light in the groin. Breathe through the center and then bring it to life with the divine name Shaddai El Chai (for a special flow of grace, the name of El Shaddai may be used, or for special divine protection, the name of Shaddai). Envision the line of light going down to your feet and forming a center of radiant darkness at your feet like translucent obsidian light. Breathe through the center and then intone the divine name of Adonai (for a stronger grounding of energy and oneself, the divine name of Adonai Ha-Eretz may be used, for a move devotional practice, the divine name of Adonai Melekh can be used. Devotees of theHoly Bride often use the divine name of Kallah Messiah). Envision a fiery energy kindled in the Malkut sphere (the black sphere at your feet) and imagine a great stirring and pressuring building until a threat of fiery energy shoots up the channel of light formed by the middle pillar. Envision the fiery energy and light mingling in each center in ascent and the combined energy of fiery light rushing up out of the top of your head, as though you have become a great fountain of fiery light. See this light pouring over you and washing through your sphere of sensation or aura. Imagine the flow of light becoming linked to your breath, so that in breathing and envisioning you can consciously direct this fiery light. As you exhale, envi

sion a current of fiery light descending down the front of your body, and as youinhale, the same currentflowing up the back of your body, thus creating a circuit flowing around you.

    9/27

Once you establish the first current, then envision another current going down the left side of your body and up the right side, also linked to your exhalationand inhalation. Now envision a translucent sphere of fiery light around you and these currents moving independently in the sphere. Envision your body as translucent fiery light and see all the centers in their place in the body of light, and the descending and ascending force flowing.

Abide in mediation with this vision of awareness as long as you can. This concludes the practice.

Meditation of Kallah Messiah St. Mary MagdaleneMalkut

Find the time to sit, breathe, and feel the life in your body, the sacredness ofbeing and becoming. (This, in itself, is a meditation of the Holy Bride). Once you are settled, shift the focus of your attention to the spiritual sun within

behind your heart, envisioning it clearly and feeling it deeply. See it pervade your whole body-mind and let it completely consume you, banishing all negativity and darkness. Let there be peace and joy. Form the sun in your heart, imagine a ruby ray of light shooting forth and that the image of the Holy Bride magically appear in the space before you. Her inner robe is brilliant white, her outer robe is crimson, her face shines like ten thousand stars, and there is rainbow glory all around her. She is the most beautiful woman imaginable. She does not stand still but dances like flames of fire, as you take up her mostsimple chant: Kallah Messiah, Nukva Messiah. As you chant, envision her blessing you, pouring out light and fire upon you, and that she merges to dance in your very body, as though a great fire of divine passion within and all around you.It is All-Joy! It may be that you cannot sit still but must get up and dance too. Its all good, whatever the Holy Bride inspires you to do! When all is said

and done, ground the energy and abide a while in silence. When you go out intothe world, see the Bride in everything and everyone, hear her voice in every sound, and whatever thoughts, emotions and feelings arise, know them as the radiance of her wisdom. Some have attained Christ consciousness in this way!

Though, it is a detailed system of prep for projection, etc, for the techniquesI posted, I suggest prayer & affirmation before going into them. I usually lightincense or anoint my heart center, third eye and palms of the hands with frankincense while invoking Yeshua, Mary Magdalene, and other Energies I feel a kinship to. After any chosen prayer, you may also wish to mentally or verbally reciteany or all of the following Christ-centered affirmations:

I walk in the Christ Light

I breathe in the Christ Light

    I accept the Christ Light

I am protected by the Christ Light

    I am the Christ Light

    I am

After using the technique, regardless of the results, give yourself time to "com

    HEART CENTER TECHNIQUE

"The heart center, nestled approx. an inch above the breastbone toward the chest, cradles the divine spark of God energy each of us is born with. It is the dwelling place of the soul & the harbor of all elevated emotion such as compassion, unconditional love, & inspiration. Due to the nature of this center, leaving thebody through the gateway of the heart can bring you into oneness with the Infinte, which begets extraordinarily beautiful soul journeys.

Recline on a bed or on a floor surface that is not too hard. You can attempt this while sitting in a chair, but I find that complete relaxation of the body in a

straight line prompts better success rates while using this technique.

To begin, place your power hand (the hand you write with) over the area betweenyour breastbone and where you feel your heartbeat. Take time to feel your heartbeat beneath your fingertips. As you feel the silent, incessant drumming, think of someone you love, a beautiful memory, or your love for Deity. If you have a favorite childhood memory, remember it in detail. If any memory is your object offocus, recall it with feeling. If you choose to think about someone you love, remember the person's laughter, smile or voice. If you focus on a lover or spouse, remember is or her eyes lit with sunlight, a whispered touch, or a dissolving embrace. If you think of your longing and reverence for a Higher Power, rememberthat the glory of this Ultimate Deity resides within the center your hand is resting on. Feel the invisible thread of light that connects you to this power like

    glimmering gossamer.

Once you feel submerged in your object of focus, begin to breathe deeply and evenly for long moments. Feel the breath reach all the way down into your diaphragm, filling you with serenity & warmth. Feel your thoughts for Deity, a love, or apast memory enter your body through your breath. Pretend you are not breathingair but the love that occupies your thoughts. If you have difficulty, remember the smell of that lost day in your memory, the smell of your lover's clothes, orthe scent of a house of worship, such as an incense-sweetened ashram or a vacantcandlelit church.

When you feel your mind and breathing somewhat entwined, think of the most beautiful rose color you have ever seen. Think of blushing, light-infused clouds hovering in an illumined dawn.Imagine deep pink roses lit with sun, undressing their glowing petals in a gustof morning wind.Feel the flower's silken clusters between your fingers. In your mind's eye, smell the fragrance of these glowing roses that resemble wine and rain. Envision rose-colored glasses overflowing with sunlight on a windowsill. Completely drench your mind with rose pink until all other thoughts are eclipsed by its fire. Allowthe memory, the lover, the Higher Power to dissolve in the color of rose. Imagine this color in the palm of your hand that is resting on your chest. Visualizeitspink fire blazing like a star & penetrating your heart. Continue to imagine thistransference of light energy until you feel a warmth in your heart center. This

warmth will probably progress into a sensation of expansion, as if suddenly a door in your heart has flung open widely & your breathing feels weightless, evenexhilerated. Once you reach this point, drop your power hand to your side & surr

ender entirely to the new sensations.

Now focus your mind on three things ONLY:

-your breathing-the bed or floor against your back-the feeling in your heart center

Focus only on these three things. If other thoughts interfere, allow them to pass & strive to channel all of your concentration into the above three objects offocus. Once you do this, drop one of the three. Now forget your breathing & onlythink of the bed or floor against your back & the feeling in your heart.

Now, drop another object of focus, the bed or floor against your back & concentrate only on the feeling in your heart. If you get off track, again think of twothings. Once you are able to singularly focus on the feeling in your heart, youshould feel inseparable from the heart center itself. You should experience a loss of self & profound communion with the present moment. You ARE love. You ARE the fire of the rose, the energy, the power.

If you reach this blissful meditative state & your consciousness is thus expanded into the now, you will leave your body effortlessly through the heart chakra, like a leaf on the wind. The beauty of releasing the physical this way can never be described, only experienced. No matter how many times you must practice this to finally succeed, theresults are worth it! Even if you do not experience a successful projection, when done regularly this meditation can have a profound effect on your psychic & spiritual evolvement."

    REMOTE VIEWING TECHNIQUE/CONSCIOUSNESS PROJECTION

"After contacting my soul guide during my teen years, I learned how to observe distant places with her assistance. Eventually the observations became so incredibly close at hand that I was often in two places at one time. I could feel the morning rain in Santa Monica, California. I could smell bread baking in a small New England cafe. I could touch my father standing in a garage a mile away, yet I

felt no distinct separation from my physical body. I didn't see the famous silver cord. I could also be aware of any intusion or distraction in my immediate environment. It was like having three-dimensional sight while viewing a riveting m

ovie in a private theater. This was my initiation into the world of soul projection.

One day, with startling joy, I realized at was at the location I was viewing. Icould drift, walk through walls, & even dance like a monkey around someone who couldn't see or hear me. In essence, I first projected my mind/consciousness to the distant place, then donned a finer body to travel with. This was a completely

natural process, for I was unaware that I had even done it. Though projecting this was came fairly easy, it took me years to understand its nature. The only drawback to accomplishing this technique is that during periods of physical or mental fatigue it is very difficult to do. Since projecting the mind takes incredible energy as it is, it proves to be exhausting to fully leave the body when youare tired.(until a Shamanic level of experience is accomplished)

To practice remote viewing or projecting consciousness (in preparation for truesoul travel), choose a quiet spot to sit or recline. Morning hours are especially conducive for success. If you can, make time before getting out of bed to practice this technique.

Relax your breathing as well as your muscles. Imagine you are floating on your back in sunlit aquamarine water. Pretend you are drifting, feeling shimmering waters supporting you. Once you feel serene in mind & body, focus on a place you would like to visit, perhaps a favorite location or somewhere you've never been. Repeat in your mind the name of the place, over and over. Don't try to see images. Relax as you think of the name of the location.

Do this until you begin to see pictures or hear sounds in your mind. They may appear hazy at first, or they may come in vivid flashes like a slide show. Never dismiss your images as subconscious leftovers! And also a word of advice: Don't allow anyone to set a time and date with you to part in your remote viewing. Thepressure of performing or achieving accuracy is enough to dull your ability or e

ven block it entirely. Instead, test your accuracy by observing the weather ataparticular location. After viewing, check the weather service. If you see imagesor stores, you may wish to check maps and travel guides as well. Don't get discouraged if you can't find a town or an establishment. Travel guides cannot listevery store, restaurant, & attraction of any given area, and maps can be outdated."..Note: When you are starting out, you may initially hear the sounds of the area you wish to view- cars, animals, wind, weather, people- before the images come. It's a great start!

Session I KeterChapter 4 of Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ

Keter is the "Holy Crown". The beginning of the Tree of Life. Keter can be described as the unknowable face of God. That which can not be spoke of directly because it is beyond human understanding while in incarnation.

Keter has been identified as the moment of the "big bang" of creation. Keter iseternity with no start or end. The devine manifestation of Keter is called Atik Yomin (Ancient of Days) or Arik Anpin (the Big Face of God). The divine name

is Eheieh - "I am". This is thename that is spoken to Moses at the burning bush.

  • 8/4/2019 Tree of Life Exercises

    13/27

Keter can be linked to the term no-thing. Not that God in Keter is nothing, buthe/she is no thing that we have ever experienced. A good way to think about this is the nature of thought. When you think, the thought arises from your mind from nowhere and returns to nowhere. It is definately something, but at the same time it is no-thing. This is the nature of Keter.

The idea of free will and divine will."The relationship can be made to a chess master playing a novice chess player. There are certain rules of the game that both players agree to follow - and thusthere is a game. However, how both players will apply those rules is uncertain. Hence, it remains to be seen at the ouset of the game. The master and the novice play by the same rules. Yet the chess master can manipulate the play of the novice, respondingto each move of the novice todirect the game as he or she desires. In the case of a master playing a novice, the outcome of the game is pretty much certain. The master chess player will win, but exactly how the master play will win is uncertain; no one can predict what the moves of the novice will be."

Keter is the first and highest of the Sefirot (Nodes on the Tree of Life), representing the source of all beginnings and the sovereignty and authority of God over all forces of creation.

Kabbalah says that God restrains Godself in order to reveal Godself. So, God has two aspects in relation to creation. On one hand, we can't understand God because he/she is totally beyond our linear logic. This is Atik Yomin (God's willthat cannot be understood). On the other hand there is an aspect of God's will that is linear. This is ArikAnpin. These two aspects of God are like a door. Atik Yomin is the otherside of the door - the side we can't see. Arik Anpin is this side of the door and the face of

God that we can behond and understand. Arik Anpin is called the "face of light" because he is represented by the 10 Sefirot of the Tree of Life. So, the treerepresents the face of God we can comprehend.Keter is that interface between the knowable and unknowable.

THe practice for Keter can be performed to help understand this mystery.

Session II Da'atChapter 5 of Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ

Da'at is called The Secret Sefirah. It means Knowledge (Gnosis). The divine name for Da'at is Yahweh Elohim. Da'at is a secret link between the first Sefirat, Keter (Crown) and Tifferet (Beauty). Keter and Da'at are basically the intneral and external manifestations of the same thing.Keter is like a person's inner self-hood where Da'at is like their outward intelligence that they show the world. This is how Keter and Da'at represent aspectsof divinity.

Keter is the principle of uncertainty and Da'at is the principle of certainty. The Torah and Gospel, and all the Scriptures of the world wisdom traditions correspond to Da'at. Within and behind all world wisdom traditions, there is a primordial tradition from which they are all derived. If we were to speak of this primordial tradition as a light transmission, Da'at would be the holy prism through which the light passes, becoming the rainbow rays of the different light tran

smissions that form the world wisdom traditions.

The reason that Da'at is "hidden" is that it appears and disappears on the Tree

  • 8/4/2019 Tree of Life Exercises

    14/27

of Life. When Keter turns toward Ain Sof, Da'at appears, but when Keter turns toward the Tree then Da'at disappears.

Da'at assumes a dual nature, having a light and a dark side. This is the pointwhere the dark side of the Tree of Life appears called the Tree of Death. Darkand admixed forces proceed from this dark tree. The admixed forces are embodiedby the Demiurge (Cosmic Ignorance) and his Archons.

Their dominion is called the realm of impure emanations or the klippot (plural).Klippah (singular) literally means "husk" or "shell", as in a husk of wheat orshell of a nut. Klippot are the dark, karmic bands that hold us back from realizing our true nature. This sheds light on the saying of Lord Yeshua: "Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain of wheat; but if it dies it bears much fruit." (Gospel ofSt. John 12:24)

Everything we think and do manifests cosmic forces and brings them into play. We need to focus on what is good and positive so we manifest positive forces. This can be seen in Da'at and manifests the Gnostic saying "As above, so below andas below, so above".

The Book of Revelation and the apocolypse can be seen as an event for humanity in our future, but they can also be seen in light of a person's path to enlightenment. A personal apocolypse is a devine revelation and an ongoing event.

The practices for Da'at are The Kabbalistic Cross and the Upper Room Meditation.

Session III HokmahChapter 6 of Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ

Hokmah is the Wisdom of Creation and is just below Keter and to the right on theTree of Life.Hokmah is at the top of the pillar of Mercy - the side of pure Grace. Hokmah is

seen as male because Hokmah imparts to the rest of the Sefirah below Keter. Hokmah is embodied by Abba which means Father. The divine name associated with Hokmah is Yahweh.

Hokmah is essentially as incomprehensible as Keter. Using the analogy that Keter is the singularity of the big bang, Hokmah is the event horizion. Hokmah is eternal, beyond space-time.

Hokmah and the next Sefirat, Binah, are at the head of the Pillars of Mercy & Severity respectively. Hokmah is seen as force and masculine. Binah is seen as form and femanine.Together the are a constant continuum of transformation.

Keter is seen as both Hu (He) and Hua (She), but Hokmah is male. Thus Hokmah isthe male component of Keter drawn out on its own. Binah on the other hand is female and the femanine component of Keter drawn out on its own.

A good contemplation of how the femanine is known, but the masculine is incomprehensible is by looking at the Gospel story. Jesus' mother, Mary, is very present in the Gospel stories, but Joseph is pretty much absent. This is an analogy of how the Father can only be known throughthe Mother and Son.

According to Sophian tradition, creation is founded upon Hokmah (Father) and Binah (Mother).

Creation is founded upon 10 utterances which are found in the first chapter of Genesis. So, in a spiritual sense, Hokmah constitutes the 10 utterances and Binah is the logical system of archetypal patterns connecting them. Each Sefirah re

presents the various levels andaspects of one of these 10 utterances.

Something of this creative power is within the human one. Thus we can tap intothis creative power. Divine Magic is the process of willingly directing spiritual forces and beings. The nature and purpose of divine magic is not personal power, but rather has the

aim of self realization and liberation of other beings (even spiritual ones).

The practices for Hokmah are all based on the Giving and Receiving Meditation.

    Magical Golden Dawn :

THE TREE OF LIFEPart One - AwarenessThe Book of Genesis begins with: "In the beginning, God created the heavens andthe earth." Three things are mentioned in this first sentence: God, heavens andearth. In this article, we'll call this first God mentioned in the Western theol

ogy as Creator God or simply as The Creator for the sake of clarity. This creation story is told in every commonly known religion. The principle character in this story is called by many names (Ahura Mazda, Brahman, Ptah, and YodHey Vav Hey for example). The other two characters are called male and female, heaven and earth, light and darkness, energy and form, and several other pairs of opposites. This is the nature of the Tree of Life. One creates two who are opposite in nature and those two combine to form one balanced whole. This is where we'll start our discussions since this is where Gnostics started to become separated from theother Western religions and spiritual paths.Gnosticism is not so much a religion as it is a spiritual path. It is this spiritual path which is disclosed by the Tree of Life. This is the topic of our discussion.

If Creator God created the heavens and earth we know Creator God must have existed prior to this creation. On this assumption alone man has tried to define Creator God for thousands of years. We're no closer to arriving at a perfect definition now than we were back then. Our second assumption is Creator God created something Creator God knew and understood. We all create things we know and understand. We don't create things we don't know and we don't understand. So what Creator God created was familiar to Creator God.If Creator God knows all about each of us, because Creator God did create us, then Creator God knows more than all of us put together. In fact, Creator God knows everything we know and Creator God knows more than we know. Thus, because Creator God knows everything, Creator God has to be Omniscient. If Creator God was all there was in the beginning, then there was only one thingCreator God could have used to create and that one thing was Him, Her, It, Creator God. therefore everything that is created is within Creator God, and CreatorGod is within everything. Creator God is both Omnipresent and Immanent. If Creator God created us and all that is within Creator God, then all the powerthat is must exist within Creator God. Creator God is and must be Omnipotent. Additionally, since Creator God created the heavens, and there is no end to the heavens, and those heavens are within Creator God, then Creator God must be Infinite. If Creator God was in the beginning and Creator God is Infinite then it followsthat Creator God is also Eternal and Ever-living. So, we know Creator God is Eternal, Infinite, Omnipresent, Immanent, Omnipotent, Omniscient and Creator God created all that exists. Everything is Creator God. Creator God is everything.

If we assume Creator God created something He, She or It knew and understood, then it follows that the Law of Correspondence may be true. That Law says: "That which is above is as that which is below; and that which is below is as that whic

  • 8/4/2019 Tree of Life Exercises

    16/27

h is above." In short, this law is: "As above, so below."This gives us the opportunity to understand more about Creator God because the Law of Correspondence says we create in the same manner. How do we create? We create because we get the idea we can create, we think we can create so we set about creating. We might intuit this idea, reason it out for ourselves, or receive it from some Higher Source. This logic leads to several possible ways in which Creator God came to create all that exists.

One possibility is Creator God received the inspiration to create Heaven and Earth from a Higher Source. In this case, we drop our consideration of this particular "Creator God" and go back to the Original Source above and beyond which there is no other Higher Source. In other words, we disregard this possibility sincewe've already decided there is no Higher Source above the Creator God we're considering. If Creator God reasoned it out or intuited the idea to create a physical universe, the first step in this process was to become aware such a creation was possible. As above, so below. To understand this process let's examine the life of a child. The first thing achild does is cry. Why? The child has become aware of something and reacted to that something. This is the story of a child's life: to become aware of something

and react to it. This is the story of life for most humans most of the time. Aswe go through life, we become aware of many things and possibilities. Once we become aware, we start to think and have feelings about the things in our awareness. As below, so above. Before Creator God could create anything, Creator God firstneeded to become aware of the possibility of creating anything. Awareness is thefirst step of this or any other creation. On the Tree of Life, the topmost sphere is called Kether (pronounced ket' - er)or The Crown. In the Tree of Life we're creating now, we'll call this sphere Awareness. For our purposes, Kether, the Crown and Awareness are all the same thing. What we know about one, we know about the other. The Qabalah teaches that Awareness is partially manifest and partially unmanifest. It is partially of the world of creation and partially of the world above and

beyond the creation. Awareness is like that. It's both partially in our consciousness and partially in our conscious mind. We're aware, but we're only aware ofwhat we see, hear, smell, touch, taste or feel (intuit). The Creator created everything that ever was, is now or ever will be. The firststep in this creation process was the act of becoming aware it was possible to create. Awareness precedes everything else. It's the first step in thinking everything we think, feeling everything we feel, speaking everything we speak and doing everything we do.According to the teaching of the Qabala, nine more steps are needed to actuallymanifest anything in the material plane. But none of those steps will occur until and unless there is first Awareness of the possibility of creating something in our lives.Awareness is the first step, the first of ten steps to manifestation. Awarenessis the first sphere on the Tree of Life, the first of ten spheres of manifestation. Awareness is the first act of creation, it is the first creation from whichall else flows.According to the Big Bang Theory, in the beginning there was nothing. At a pointin this nothingness all the matter and energy that ever was, exists now and ever will be was created. All this energy and all this matter were compressed intoa single point, a single point in the Mind of The Creator. The sheer power of all this energy being compressed into a single point caused it to explode in a Big Bang. Matter and energy have been moving away from the explosion of this single point ever since. Matter and energy will continue to speedaway from this explosive beginning until the energy of that explosion has beenexpended. Then, according to the Big Bang Theory, everything will reverse course

and be pulled back to it's source in the Mind of the Creator.Nobody knows for sure when the Big Bang occurred nor when it will collapse backon itself. Scientists are looking back in time toward the center of the Universe

  • 8/4/2019 Tree of Life Exercises

with very powerful telescopes. They say the Big Bang occurred about twelve billion years ago and that our Sun is about ten billion years old. These same scientists say the Universe is still expanding and it's not slowing down. Not yet. The best minds working on the Big Bang Theory guess the Universe will continue to expand for at least another ten to fifteen billion years. To think it all began because Creator God became aware creation was possible. Asabove, so below. To think that all we are, have been and ever will be is so bec

ause you and I became aware we could create our own lives. This Awareness was the first step in our own act of creation. The Creator has been called many things. In the Western Gnostic tradition, The Creator is usually referred to as Creator God. In Eastern traditions The Creatoris called Brahman. In Greek myth Gaia emerged from the Chaos and created the Earth and everything in it. Thus The Creator can be considered to be Chaos though some call Gaia the Mother of All.Tellus Mater was the Roman Goddess equivalent to Gaia and she, too, was born ofthe Chaos. In our discussions we'll consider Chaos to be The Creator in both Roman and Greek mythology. The Creator of the Mesopotamians was the God El, the father of all man and creator of all things. The Creator in Egyptian mythology wasAtum the self-created, the Great He-She. Memphis priests taught that Atum was th

e child Ptah but this was apparently not a wide-spread belief. In Celtic Druidism the Creator is a female God called Danu. She is the Great Mother of All that is and ever was. The name of The Creator in Norse mythology is lost to us. Many consider The Creator to be Tiwaz but the stories seem to indicate Tiwaz was born of The Creator. The North American Indians were not one faith or religion but many. The Creatorhas as many names as there are tribal families. The Pueblo Indians consider TheCreator to be Awonawilona. Awonawilona is The One Who Contains Everything. The Algonquin Nation called The Creator Kitcki Manitou and the name Manitou hasbeen used by several tribes in describing The Creator. The Pacific Coast Nationscalled this same God by the name Olelbis. To the Pawnee Nation this God is Tirawa-Atius and to the Cherokee it's Kanati and Selu (father and mother) who created all that is.

You need to decide for yourself what name you'll use for The Creator who, according to the Western theology, created the Heavens and Earth. Which is to say, TheCreator created all that is, was and ever will be.THE TREE OF LIFEPart Two - Intention and Belief"In the Beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" according to the Bookof Genesis. Several creation stories start out in the same vein. The words are different, but the concept is the same. Some say God first created the light andthe dark. Others say the first creation was male and female, masculine and feminine energies. The Heavens are boundless, endless. They go on forever. Earth is bounded, finite. It's a definite thing and well-defined.The more we study the early creation stories, the more we become convinced the first creation was to create matter andenergy.According to Einstein's Theory of Relativity, matter and energy are two different expressions of the same thing. Matter and energy can each be converted into the other. More than that, everything in the whole known Universe is either matteror energy and the sum total of all the matter and all the energy is the Universe. This sounds like: "In the beginning was God, and God thought about matter and energy and God was matter and energy." All the matter and energy that ever was orever will be is here now, and all that matter and energy is The Creator. The Creator is probably more than all the matter and energy, but all that matter and energy are The Creator. There's nothing in this story to tell us which came first, matter or energy. Con

sequently every religion has a theory based on the major culture of that religion. Christianity teaches man came first. So do all the major Western religions. Most Pagans believe the All-Mother, or Great Mother came first.

  • 8/4/2019 Tree of Life Exercises

    18/27

Gnostics are not in agreement about this either. Some are in the "Man-came-first" camp while others stand firm knowing "Woman-came-first." Science says they came together, one cannot exist without the other. The Big Bang started out as a point of combined mass and energy and the energy of that primal explosion is still propelling that matter through space. Matter and energy work together. You can't have one without the other. They both live andact together within The Creator and they are The Creator.

Energy is boundless force and it expands forever. This isthe "Heaven" of the first creation. This is the masculine principle called "Force."Matter is form. It restricts and confines energy. This is the "Earth" of the first creation. This is the feminine principle called "Form."The Creator is both form and force, matter and energy, masculine and feminine. All the matter and energy, force and form, are The Creator but the Creatoris morethan just that. Most of the ancient writings about the creation allude to the male and female archetypes rather than explicitly naming them. For example, Genesis refers to thisphase of creation as "God created the heavens and the earth." The Jerusalem Talmud explains this as a process of the one Creator God dividing Itself into two things of opposite polarity. Usually this is explained as being the Void which is

of negative polarity and the Substance. Christian theologians consider the Angelic World to be the Heavens and Manifestation to be the Earth.Eastern philosophers look at creation in very much the same way. Brahman, the one Creator God, became theMale and theFemale principle without diminishing Brahman. In thisphilosophy the One became Three in One. That's pretty close to theWestern concept of the Trinity. The Two, male and female, cannot exist without the One, but the One is self-existent with or without the Two.The other interesting thing about the Two is that one cannot exist without the other. The Male Archetype cannot exist without both the Creator Archetype and theFemale Archetype. The Female Archetype cannot exist without both the Creator Archetype and the Male Archetype. The Creator Archetype can exist with or withoutthe Male and Female Archetypes. In many religions, the GreatMother gave birth to her husband and together they g

ave birth to all that exists. In others, the male came first as in thestory of Adam and Eve. In the Qabalah, the Creator (which may be called the Great Mother or the Great Father) came first. The Creator separated Itself into two parts while retaining the whole of Itself. These two parts are the Mother of All Things and the Father ofAll Things. They are theLight and the Darkness, the Positive andthe Negative, the Male and the Female Principles, the Male and Female Archetypes. There really is no discussion about which came first, the man or the woman. Theanswer, accordingto the Qabalah,is they came together. One Archetype cannot exist without the other. They are opposites, and when they come together they are The Creator. But the mystery is that even if they don't come together, the Creatorexists in Its fullness and is not diminished in any way.The Great Mystery has a very simple explanation. If the Male and Female Archetypes exist in the Mind of the Creator, then it makes sense that the Creator is notdiminished. If the Mind of the Creator is that which gets divided, then it makes sense thatneither the Male or FemaleArchetype can exist without the other. These Archetypes are opposites and to think of the attributes of one is to define the attributes of the other. The Creator is The One Mind and creation is in the Mind of the Creator. That's the great secret of all the Western and Eastern Mysteries. Everything isMind. Everything is The Creator. Nothing exists outside the Mind of the Creator.Everything exists within the Mind of the Creator. We are all brothers and sisters in the creation of all that exists. We're all in this same Mind together. We're all interconnected not only to our friends but to our enemies. We're connected to all the plants, animals and minerals in this world. Everything is The Creat

or.The Creator is unconditional love, all knowing, all powerful, present everywhereand in all things. This is the archetype that is The Creator. It's the root of

    19/27

the Air Element. The Father archetype is outgoing energy that moves away from the source. It expands in all directions as it moves. This energy is a force that moves things. Because it moves, we call it positive. The Father archetype is all about intention, the desire to do something, the ability to conceive it, the resolve to do it and the energy to finish what is started. It's the root of the Fire Element. The Mother Archetype is ingoing and does not move. It is inert but collects ener

gy inside itself. It's a form that contains things, and because of this we callit negative. The Mother Archetype is all about receptivity, the capacity to feelit, the inertia to contain it, the ability to remember it and the ability to love it forever. Mother is the root of the Water Element. On the Tree of Life, the Creator occupies the top-most sphere. All energy movingdown through the Tree of Life originates in this top-most sphere. The Father Archetype occupies sphere number two on the right-hand side of the Tree of Life asyou're looking at the Tree. The Mother Archetype occupies sphere number three on the left-hand side of the Tree of Life as you're looking at the Tree. These two spheres are located below the first sphere. All three are interconnected so asto form a triangle with The Creator Archetype at the top. The sphere for Fatheris called Intention (Chokmah) and the one for Mother is called Belief (Binah).

This triangle is called the Triangle of Air. It's also called the World of Air because everything in this world is thoughts and ideas. Nothing else exists in this world except thoughts and ideas. It's the Archetypal World or the World of Archetypes. It's also called the Spiritual Triangle among several dozen other names. Some authors consider the Archetypal World to be the Trinity of God the Creator,Father God and Mother God. In Christian Gnosticism this trinity is often calledFather-Mother-Creator God or Creator-Father-Mother God. It's also called Creator-Mother-Father God. The three spheres in this triad can therefore be labeled Creator God, Father God and Mother God in that order. The Creator Archetype, Father Archetype and Mother Archetype is another way of saying the same thing as is Creator-Male-Female Archetypes. Awareness, Intention and Belief are the definitions of these three concepts.

Several authors assign different Judeo-Christian God names to these spheres. Themost common assignment of Divine Names is Eheieh to Kether (Creator), Yah to Chokmah (Father) and Yod Hey Vav Hey Elohim to Binah (Mother). Eheieh is often translated as "I am That I am" or as "I am What I am." Yah is Father God, Yod Hey Vav Hey is the Tetragrammaton normally rendered as Jehovah or Yahweh, and Elohimis Father and Mother God. Some claim Elohim is a singular male God and plural female Goddesses.Your assignment, should you decide to experiment with the World of Archetypes, is to assign one God or Goddess from the pantheon of your choice to each of the spheres in this trinity. It's important to preserve the sequence of Creator-Male-Female Archetype for these first three spheres. But the name of the Deity assigned to each is entirely up to you.THE TREE OF LIFEPart Three - The AbyssThe Archetypal World, the World of Air is separated from the rest of the Tree ofLife by an Abyss "of endless breadth, depth and width." It's so deep you can'tsee the bottom of the pit, you can't see anything as you look down except endless space. It's so wide it appears to go in either direction forever. The other side is so far away you can't see it. You're not even sure there is another side.Standing on the edge of this abyss, it feels like you're standing on the edge ofthe world looking out into nothingness. At least, that's what most of the mystics who've been there have to say.Yet, when we look at the Tree of Life, we see paths connecting each of the threetop-most spheres to each other. We also see five paths from these three crossing the Abyss; one from The Creator and two from both the Father and Mother Archet

ypes. These five paths are called The Impassible Paths because crossing the Abyss is impossible until and unless you've completed all the requirements to do so. We'll

discuss those requirements over the next couple of months, But in short, they can all be summed up in the admonition to love your Creator and your neighbor asyourself. The Abyss not only separates the World of Air from the rest of the Tree of Life,it reflects the first three Sephira into the next level of the Tree. As a result of this reflection, the second triangle is upside down relative to the first. It is a reflection like a pool of water might reflect that which is above it. If

the second triangle on the Tree is a reflection of the first, then the second triangle isn't real at all. It's just a reflection. Reflections aren't real. Some of the modern theories about the birth of the universe would agree with this point of view. The modern concept accepted by most physicists is the universeis a hologram within the mind of some vast intelligence. It doesn't take much ofa leap of faith to believe that Intelligence is the Creator as expressed through the Father and Mother Archetypes.Science continues to prove the Gnostic viewpoint in all things. The Sepher Yetzirah, which is the first written document we know as the Qabala, teaches that Spirit breathed (Air) and from this breath came the "The Great Waters." Air came first and Water second. The Sepher Yetzirah continues explaining that Water carried Fire in Her belly. Desire (Fire) comes from the belly and is a

combination of Air and Water but desire (Fire) is born of Water. Desire is bornfrom our emotions. Here's a little exercise to help you understand the Abyss a little better: Standin front of a mirror. Point both your index fingers like guns. Point these "guns" at the mirror and slowly move them forward until they touch the mirror. In this example, your shoulders are the Father and Mother Archetypes above the Abyss. The reflection of your shoulders are Daughter and Son on the other side of theAbyss. The mirror represents the Abyss. Both your arms and the reflection of your arms are the connecting path between these spheres. They connect at the mirrorbut each remains in its own world and does not encroach into the world of the other. This is actually a fairly good analogy. The spheres above the Abyss are in a different world than those below. The spheres below are a reflection of the spheres

above. The spheres above are connected to the spheres below through the Abyss. But since that which is above and that which is below the Abyss do not cross theAbyss, this connection is between two different kinds of things. The two kindsof things do not mix, they connect. They touch each other at the Abyss. The only thing that crosses the Abyss is our consciousness. Our bodies never cross the Abyss nor does our personality. Our thoughts, ideas, memories, and attitudes cross the Abyss but our emotions and our desires do not. When we cross overthe Abyss from above all we bring with us is our thoughts, ideas, and attitudes. We leave our memories behind in the World of Air, the World of Archetypes.THE TREE OF LIFEPart Four - Love, Power and HarmonySpanning the Abyss is a path running down the right-hand side of the Tree of Life from Father God to Daughter God directly below. Also spanning the Abyss is a path running down the left-hand side of the Tree of Life from Mother God to Son God or God the Son directly below.Father God is the Father Archetype and the Male Archetype. Mother God is the Mother Archetype and the Female Archetype. Daughter God is the Daughter Archetype and the Maiden Archetype. Son God is the Son Archetype and the Knight or Young Man Archetype. These archetypes each have many variations and definitions. An interesting exercise is to start a page in your journal for each of the five major archetypes we've already discussed. Then add other possible names and attributes for each overthe course of several weeks or months. For example, The Creator Archetype also includes such other archetypes as architect, artist, author, builder, designer, discoverer, founder, inventor, and produ

cer. Any type of creative endeavor is a candidate for classification under the master symbol of The Creator. As we examine the Son and Daughter Archetypes we find two very interesting facts

:First, the only energy coming down the Tree of Life into Daughter comes from Father and the energy coming down into Son comes from Mother. The energy from abovechanges polarity as it crosses the Abyss. The Male gives birth to the Female and the Female gives birth to the Male.Secondly, the only energy from the other "parent" comes through the first. Mother God sends energy across to Father God and that's the only female energy that g

oes down to Daughter God. Father God sends energy across to mother God and that's the only male energy that goes down to Son God. It's difficult to understand how the polarity can change in such an arrangement.Daughter God is the fourth Sepheroth on the Tree of Life and its Hebrew name isChesed (Hess' - ed) which means Mercy. Mercy is also called Charity, Love and Unconditional Love. Mercy is the archetype of the loving daughter. But, remember Mercy is just a reflection of the Father-Mother-Creator Archetype. So the Father-Mother-Creator Archetype contains the Loving Daughter.Son God is the fifth Sepheroth on the Tree of Life and it's Hebrew name is Geburah which means Severity. Severity is also called Strength, Power, Trepidation, Chaos and Conflict. Pasad is another Hebrew name assigned to Son God. Pasad meansFear or Trepidation. All of these names are assigned to this sphere and the Son

of God, the Son of the Goddess or the Widow's Son. (That's a long story in itself because the Black Widow is Binah, the Mother Archetype. She's also the BlackMadonna.) Power is the archetype of the God of War and the warrior and this warring son is contained within and is a reflection of the Father-Mother-Creator Archetype. There's one more Child of Deity, but this child is a very special child. It receives energy from all of the first five Sepheroth. The Creator, Father, Mother, Daughter and Son all send energy down into the sixth Sepheroth. It is literally the child of all the Sephera above it. This Child of Deity is on the Middle Pillar directly below The Creator but on a level further down the Tree than both Daughter and Son. It completes the second triangle on the Tree of Life, the trianglereflected from above, the triangle reflected across the Abyss. The name of this Sepheroth is Tiphereth (Tiff' - er - et) which means Beauty. Ot

her names assigned to Beauty include Harmony, Balance, Son of God and Christ Consciousness or Krishna Center. It is the archetype for the Peacemaker, the HangedGod and the Sacrificed or Crucified King. It's also a direct reflection of theFather-Mother-Creator Archetype. The sphere attributed to the Daughter Archetype is called Mercy, Charity, Love and Unconditional Love. In Magical Golden Dawn we usually refer to this sphere asLove, and by this we mean Unconditional Love. The sphere attributed to the Son Archetype is called Severity, Strength, Fear, Trepidation, Anger, Sadness and Power among other things. In Magical Golden Dawnwe usually refer to this sphere as Power and by this we mean to include the power of Anger, Fear and Sadness. The sphere attributed to Beauty or Harmony is also called Balance, Crucified orSacrificed God, the Crucified or Sacrificed Archetype, Service, the Grandchildren, the Grandchildren Archetype and the Soul. In Magical Golden Dawn we usually refer to this sphere as Harmony though we see The Creator as our Spirit and thiscenter of Harmony as our Soul. These three spheres form a downward-facing triangle which is a reflection of theupward-facing triangle of the World of Air. Each of the three spheres in this triangle are connected to each other. The Creator is directly connected only to our Soul (Harmony). Father is connected to both Daughter and Harmony. Mother is connected to both Son and Harmony. Everybody above is connected to the Grandchildren below. This downward-facing triangle is a reflection of the upward-facing World of Air.It is the Child of Air. These three spheres in the lower triangle are reflections of the Archetypes. They are the reflection of thoughts and ideas.

Reflect on your own thoughts for a moment. You'll start to feel something. Thissomething can be reduced to love, happiness, peace, and joy or it can be fear, anger, sadness and indifference. The reflection of our own thoughts and ideas are

the emotions of our life.As Above so Below. As Below so Above. The reflection of the thoughts and ideas in the World of Air Above the Abyss are the emotions of the World Below, the World of Water, the World of Emotions. The World of Air is separated from the World of Water by the Great Abyss. Thereis a great chasm between our thoughts and ideas and our emotions. There is a great chasm between thoughts and ideas and emotions in the Divine Mind.

In the World of Air the male and female, Father and Mother Archetypes are the opposite of each other. You can't have one without the other. The Creator participates in both the male and female and is more than the sum of both.In the World of Water this concept of opposites is carried one step further. Daughter is Mercy, Love, Charity and Unconditional Love. Daughter is also the opposite of all these things. She's Indifference, Apathy, Intolerance, and Unkindness.Son is Anger, Fear, Sadness, Severity, Strength and Power. He's also their opposites. He's Joyful, Peaceful, Happy and Soft and his Strength and Power are usedwith Joy, Peace and Happiness. It's in that place called Harmony where all these positive and negative emotionscome together, where they become balanced. Any expression of excessive positive

or negative emotions is due to an imbalance in this area of our lives. Here's the important secret taught by most mystery religions: Emotions are a product of our thoughts. We learn fear, anger, sadness, love and all our other emotions. Our thoughts and attitudes control our emotions. In our experience, the most difficult thing to accept about the Tree of Life isthat our emotions are born in our thoughts and ideas, our attitudes and belief systems. This concept blocked many of us from spiritual progress for several years. The skeptic in us couldn't accept anything about our minds having control ofour emotions. Period. As far as we were concerned, our emotions were out of control, and thinking about them didn't make them any better. But if you stop to think about it, it's all very logical. We think. Because we think, we start to have feelings about our thoughts. Our feelings affect our thinking and it goes round in a circle. Our emotions feed our

thoughts and our thoughts feed our emotions. We can work ourselves up into a dither in no time at all. We can also calm ourselves down and change our thinking. If Unconditional Love is a decision, why do I instantly dislike certain people? It's all based on our memory of past experiences. Our memories store things based on the amount of emotion attached to those memories. The more emotional the memory, the easier it is to remember and we remember it more vividly. Since our memories are stored in our subconscious mind, we're not always aware we're reacting to something based on those memories. The fact is we judge people based on our memories of that person, people who look, act or behave like that person, people who speak like that person, or peoplewho subconsciously remind us of that person. It doesn't matter who the person is, what matters is how we view that person based on our memory or past encounterswith other people. We instantly dislike certain people because they remind us of one or more negative attributes of other people in our memory. We instantly like some people for the very same reasons.Unconditional Love is a decision. We choose to love somebody or not. We choose to love something or not. We choose to love and we choose not to love. We chooseto be indifferent toward certain people or things. We choose apathy over love. We choose the level of our commitment.Anger is a decision. It may be conscious, subconscious or even unconscious, butit is a decision. Conscious anger is often called "righteous anger." We're entitled to feel angry and so we do. Subconscious anger is a habit we've formed overtime. We've been angry in this situation before and here we are again. Eventually our anger can become so automatic it's done on an unconscious level. Our thoughts birth our anger.

Fear is a conscious, subconscious or unconsciousdecision. We become anxious andour anxiety turns to fear. We worry about what could happen and our worry becomes anxiety, and our anxiety becomes our fears. If we expect the worst, we begin t

o worry that the worst will happen. If we expect the best, we begin to worry that the best will happen. Our thoughts birth our fears.Sadness is a decision. It's a conscious, subconscious or unconscious decision based on past memories collected by our senses of sight, hearing, touching, tasting or smelling and the emotions we decided to connect to that memory. We are the parent of our emotions. Our thoughts, ideas, attitudes and beliefs give birth to our emotions. And we imbue our memories of people, places, things an

d events with these emotions. We are the product of our entire lifetime of thinking, birthing and growing our emotions. Study my emotions and you can understandmy thinking, the thinking that gave birth to those emotions. This is a very hard lesson to fully comprehend and understand. We talk to peoplewho have hormonal imbalances that causes them great depression. Telling them they thought themselves into this depression is not a cure for their problem. Drugs are not a cure for their problem. The only cure is serious spiritual work andvery few people are willing to invest the amount of time and energy to do spiritual work. It's a commitment and commitments take energy, time and work.Your assignment, should you choose to participate, is to ponder your emotions this week and see if you can trace them back to your own thoughts, ideas and attitudes in your distant past.

THE TREE OF LIFEPart Five - ParokethThe Abyss separates the World of Air from the World of Water. It is the third veil on the Tree of Life. It is the third veil we must rend as we return to our Source from the World of Manifestation which is our physical universe. As we comedown the Tree of Life we now reach the Second Veil. The Second Veil is called Paroketh which means Portal and it's the Portal through which we must travel to reach our Soul. It's also the Portal through which the first order member of the Golden Dawn must pass in order to become an Adept.Paroketh is called the Veil of Illusion because what we see below this veil is an illusion. Reality is on the other side. Our soul resides in the true reality. Our ego and persona reside in the illusion of reality. Paroketh is also called the Curtain of Fire which refers to the fact that the World of Fire is located be

neath the World of Water on the Tree of Life. As we descend into matter we mustcross this Curtain of Fire.Additionally, Paroketh is called the Curtain of Water because as we ascend the Tree of Life from the World of Fire we're confronted by a Curtain of Water whichwe must part (like Moses and the Red Sea) to ascend further. As we incarnate into this physical world, we move down the Tree of Life from ourbeginning in Awareness at the top of the Tree. We build our intentions and focus ourselves down to one primary purpose for incarnation in the World of Air - the first three spheres. In the teachings of Magical Golden Dawn the body we inhabit here in the World of Air, the World of Archetypes is our Spirit. Our Spirit is our Higher Self, our own Holy Guardian Angel. It's our Spirit that decides toincarnate and it's our Spirit that decides upon our purpose for incarnation. It's our Spirit which our Unmanifest Self builds in the World of Archetypes as thefirst step in our physical incarnation.Since we cannot move across the Abyss in our Spirit, Magical Golden Dawn teachesthat our Spirit creates our second body, our Soul. Our Soul lives in the Worldof Water, the Creative World where we create the essence of what we will becomein the physical reality. Our Soul is in constant communication with our Spirit. Our Spirit knows everything our Soul knows and experiences, just as our Unmanifest Self above the Tree of Life knows everything our Spirit knows and experiences. And, since our Unmanifest Self is a "Spark of Light in the Consciousness of the Unmanifest Creator," the One Source of All-That-Is knows everything our Unmanifest Self knows. Our Soul decides how we'll express Unconditional Love and all our other emotionsin our lives so we can reach the goal of achieving our purpose in the physical

reality. It's in the World of Water where the blueprint for our emotional reactions to life are created. It's here we plan the relationships of our life. It's in this world where we attune our emotions to our life's purpose. We build an Emo

tional Body and that Emotional Body is our Soul. In various paradigms our Soul is also called our Etheric, Christ Body, Christ Consciousness, Conscience, Krishna Center, Krishna Consciousness and our True Self. The next step in our descent down the Tree of Life is to cross the Veil of Illusion, the Curtain of Fire. Just as our Spirit builds a body to exist in the Worldof Water, so our Soul builds a body to exist in the World of Fire. This body iscalled our Astral Body or our Ego Body and it is our Ego and our Astral essence

. Our Ego is the complex building block upon which our physical body, persona and personality are built. Our Ego resides in the World of Fire and it's in constant communication with our Soul. It's important to realize not all Souls create an Ego and descend into the Worldof Fire. Not all Egos create a body and a persona and descend into the World ofMatter, the World of Earth. Likewise, not all Spirits create a Soul and descendinto the World of Water and not all Unmanifest Selves descend into the World ofAir. Those who remain in the World of Fire we call Ghosts. Those in the World of Water we refer to as Astral Beings, Spirit Guides or Animal Guides and we consider many to be Masters. Those who remain in the World of Air are Ascended Masters, Adepts and Great Souls. The fact that you and I inhabit a physical vehicle means we decided to manifest

for some purpose and we entered the World of Archetypes, World of Emotion, Worldof Desire and the World of Matter in that order. Our job is now to discover ouroriginal purpose and then accomplish those goals. That process is called "climbing or ascending the Tree of Life." It's also called evolution, alchemy path-working and magic. This is just the opposite of our descent into matter which is called involution.THE TREE OF LIFEPart Six - Desire, Mind and The MatrixOnce we descend through the Veil of Illusion, also known as Paroketh, we enter the World of Fire, the Astral World. In this world we build the foundation for our physical body. In this world the Universe builds the foundation for the suns and planets of the universe. This is the astral world which is the foundation forthe physical.

According to the Spiritual Order of Alchemy and The Magical Golden Dawn, this isthe World of Ego. It's the world of our ego. The first sphere in this world andthe seventh sphere on the Tree of Life is called Desire. It's Hebrew name is Netzatch which is usually translated as Victory. A better translation is probably"Firmness," meaning the firmness of our intentions and dreams. Hence, the name of "Desire." Other names like Passion, Drive, Devotion, Intention and Ambition are also appropriate names as is Intuition. Our Desire center is the root of our intuition.Desire is the manifestation of Fire in the Astral World. Desire is based in ouroriginal intentions before we started the final stage leading to our incarnation(incarceration) here on Earth. It's the closest thing we have in the Astral World to our Soul which resides in the World of Water. It's our spiritual center inthe Astral World. In our opinion, the Element of Fire is the most difficult of the four Elements to interpret in the Tarot. Astrologically we understand the drive, passion, desire and energy of Fire fairly well. But in the Tarot we attribute it to things like a person's career, their intuition or their spirit. Our Passion is more t
