Dear Partners,

As we reflect on 2018, we have so much to be thankful for. We have seen our community grow and prosper because of your love and support.

You have helped to build homes, create jobs for Haitians, provide education for children who would by no other means attend school, and give the simple, yet vital, gift of clean water. We do all of this for the glory of God, to spread His love and His gospel. We thank God and you for helping to touch our part of the world.

We believe that “one seed sown produces a harvest of many”. When you invest in Tree Of Hope Haiti, you are making a long lasting impact that continues to bear fruit. We pray God’s blessing over you and all you do. Thank you for partnering with us.

With grateful hearts,

Gama and Angela Parayson

After completion of the Guesthouse in May of 2015, our desire was to build a pavilion so that we could have ongoing community outreach. We envisioned it providing a fun and safe place for children to learn, play and learn about Jesus. We knew that people of all ages would benefit, and we have already seen the positive impact of this completed project. Whenever we have people gathered at the Pavilion, we take the opportunity to talk about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It’s important that people are reminded that we are not their savior, but that Jesus Christ is the only one who saves.

A variety of activities happen at the Pavilion, including monthly birthday parties for TOHH sponsored children, financial meetings, Bible studies, community movie nights, sponsored child tutoring, back to school supplies distribution, summer camp, Vacation Bible School, mobile medical clinics, health seminars, and Christmas and End-of-Year Celebrations for the sponsored children. We have even had weddings take place in the Pavilion.

In December of 2018, we received funding to pour cement and add a basketball court to the Recreational Area. There are not many places kids can go to play, and now they have this option, all thanks to your support.

Johnsley is 18 years old, the oldest of 3 children. He started learning English when he was in 5th grade, first in school and then through classes online. By 7th grade, he was so proficient in English that he began earning money by providing translation services, with all of his earnings going towards school tuition for his siblings and himself.

Johnsley wanted to provide the opportunity for others to learn English, so he opened Powerful English Institute, his own English school, in March of 2018, starting with 25 students. By the end of 2018, enrollment had grown to 75 students! Learning English enabled Johnsley to earn money to help his family, become more financially independent, and help members of his community.

Johnsley says:

“Tree of Hope Haiti is a mission organization that has impacted my whole life and family with success. I have been worry free since Anna with Charlie’s Project had chosen to sponsor me. I am never ashamed of not having my school paid for because I know my school payments will be paid. It makes me so care free and happy. This also helps my family not to have to worry. No one in my family is anxious. I can go to school and focus on my education, and I do well. My family and I have been so thankful to have a sponsor to help pay for my education. This program has changed my life. I am hopeful and looking forward to see what is ahead.”
