The meaning of the song• From my analysis of the song I think the basic overall meaning of

the song is that the main idea of the song is about how the artist miss their childhoods. Also from looking at some of the lyrics it is clear they do not want to be grown up and be classed an adult and the boring stereotypes that come along with being an adult. Throughout the song the Artists talk about different problems that occur as they become adults and how they wish they never come across these. Probably a small analysis is that the meaning of the song is mostly happy memories of them doing childhood things.

• So for my idea I will base my ideas around the analysis that I have done above.

Overview of my idea• The main thing I will concentrate on whilst filming is that I am getting

good quality and a variety of different camera shots but I will also have to concentrate greatly during the editing to put good effects in as well. The main idea of my video is that I will have two actors representing the artists of Chiddy bang and they will be doing childish things such as playing in parks, sandpits swimming etc.

The start of my music video is just a 10 second beat which builds up to the song so during this I will have my main actor walking up somewhere which is usually quite busy such as a road or in town but during a time when it is quite empty so the audience can just concentrate on just my actor. I will try to find a location like the picture on the right. The effects I’m thinking that might work well with this is that it could be blurred right at the start of the shot and then regaining focus

Over view of my idea• As my song doesn’t have much of a slow period I am going to have introduce my

actor very early and as it kicks in straight with the chorus I thinking that I will have my actor lip syncing but in multiple different locations and outfits so it looks as if it is done over a longer period of time. One of the locations I am positive I will use is that on a park swing whilst lip syncing during this I will be doing a long shot so I can get the whole actor in it so the audience can see from the start who the main person is going to be. After this clip I am will get a shot from the actors at a party either dancing or doing some sort of game such as beer pong, making them look like they are having fun, this shot will either be a long shot or a mid shot but I also think I will walk around so that you can see it from different angles and will get a lot more into the clip.

The two pictures are two types of shots I am hoping to produce. The swings in the picture is pretty much how I would like my swing clip to be with the two actors side by side with the rest of the park in the background. The picture of the beer pong will be just a small clip of them enjoying them selves to try and enhance a positive mood

Overview of my idea

• After I have done the clips for the chorus I will then go to the first verse I will do this by using a camera wipe something I have talked about previously in one of my blog posts. During the verse I am thinking that I could go to a skate park in which I will get quite I few clips of the actors or random people doing tricks in the park with my actors just in front lip syncing. The good location for this would be quite a run down skate park but one that is still useable so it shows the childhood was not perfect but was fun as they made do with what they have. These type of shots I will use during this location will be all different for example whilst they are doing some tricks it will be close ups or mid shots so I can get a good view of it and then once they are lip syncing to the I think it would be look good if it was a long shot with the actor positioned central to the camera and then a clear view of the skate park behind him with people doing tricks still. During this verse I think it will be quite good to introduce my other “wow shot” of where there will be multiple different shots on the screen at once with the different tricks being done but then where my actor is lip syncing in will slowly start going over the other clips and become the only shot on the screen again.

• Once the chorus comes on again for the second clip I may have a small clip from the park again which they are just standing with the park behind them and the use the camera wipe technique to take them to a location which is quite desolate which I know of and had quite a bit of graffiti on the walls which I think would be very suitable at representing Chiddy bang as they do most of the shots in areas which have a lot of graffiti.

The picture above is sort of similar to the location which I have planned the graffiti I think is vital for my music video as it emphasis the message of being children and doing reckless things.

Overview of my idea• To start with the second verse I am thinking I am going to the

location of a library as the lyrics start talking about knowledge so I may give a literally image with the lyrics and I will hopefully be doing a tracking shot through one of the corridors. I plan on doing some effective camera shot like match on action to take me to another location such as a street, the match on action I plan on doing is whilst walked through a corridor for a couple of lyrics the actor will through a book to the right and then catch it whilst in a street which I think may work well. Another idea for this verse which is quite doubtful but I will try is whilst the character is walking I may try and get him to walk with a big frame whilst the actor walking is just walking whereas in the big frame there is an actor lip syncing along to the lyrics so there are maybe two clips going on at once which I think could be quite effective

Overview of my idea

• The final chorus of the video I will film in my back garden. During this I will get quite a few shots from different angles whilst the character is dancing. He will be doing stuff like kicking the ball and throughout the last verse he will get closer to the door and at the end he will slam the door and it will fade out.

Mise-en scene• The clothing that I want for

my actors will be very casual American styled. For the top half I would like them to wear a plain white top with an American styled jackets and then skinny jeans with converse. I think that this would be quite suitable clothing for the type of image for the actors I am trying to portray.
