Step 2B: Interpretive ReadingNow that you’ve learned about trash islands, you are curious about how this affects animals in the ocean. You find articles about fish, whales, and other marine animals. As you read, take note of the problems plastics cause to animals and supporting details about these problems in the organizer below.

Step 3: Interpersonal SpeakingYour research group is trying to find a solution to the problem of too much trash in the oceans. Discuss some ideas with your group.
