    Sea Turtle Projectin Baja California, Mexico

    November 1 7, 2011. Join sea turtle expert Brad Nahill as a volunteeror the Grupo Tortuguero sea turtle monitoring project in Baja Caliornia,Mexico. Travel to the beautiul seaside town o La Paz, known or itsmany white sand beaches, perect or relaxing and snorkeling in theincredible translucent waters o the Sea o Cortes. Continue on throughthe jagged Sierra de la Giganta mountains to Puerto San Carlos toreceive an orientation rom local conservationists and head out in pangas

    across Magdalena Bay to secluded Playa Conchalito, base camp orthe monitoring eorts. Here you will work with the shermen turnedconservationists to tend nets and search and capture sea turtles. Beorereturning to La Paz, visit Isla Magdalena and hike to the many sea lionrookeries and explore the ascinating areas o the unique ecosystemswithin Magdalena Bay.

    Sea Turtle Service Projectin Costa Rica

    April 28 May 6, 2012. Join sea turtle expert Brad Nahill or a volunteerservice trip to protect endangered giant leatherback sea turtles in CostaRica. Spend nights patrolling a nesting beach and working with localresearchers to collect data and protect the nests while interacting withmembers o the small community o Gandoca along the Caribbean coast.

    Visit one o the countrys nicest beaches, a remote indigenous community,a butterfy arm, and an iguana conservation project. No Spanish or sciencebackground necessary. Brad Nahill is Director o SEE Turtles, a locally-based turtle conservation project.

    Art Making Workshop in Mali, Africa

    January 6 15, 2012. Mali is a country rich in culture and history. Theirart orms have evolved uninterrupted or centuries. Join us to work withlocal traditional and contemporary artists in a neighborhood settingon the outskirts o Bamako. No art experience necessary! Experiencemaking traditional and contemporary mudcloth (Bogolanni), with BabaWagu Diakit and Groupe Bogolan Kasoban. Groupe Kasoban is aninternationally acclaimed group o mudcloth artists that were educatedat the Institute National des Arts in Bamako. They will discuss traditionalsymbols and their meanings and work with participants on individualand group cloths. An optional excursion to the village o Soni Tienior hands-on demonstrations in other art orms and a mask dance
