Day 8: Middle GobiAfter an early breakfast, leave the camp. On the way to the Gobi visit Baga Gazriin Chuluu Lake and the ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple. Spend the night in traditional Mongolian yurtas at our camp.

Day 9: Tsagaan Suvarga.After breakfast we head to Tsagaan Suvarga, which is a strangely shaped, white limestone rock formation that is about 30m tall. Have lunch on the way. Dinner and spend the night in the ger camp.

Day 10: Yol ValleyAfter breakfast at the camp. Spend the day on a full day excursion to Yol Valley for hiking and an opportunity to photograph. Overnight at the camp.

Day 6: Erdene-ZuuVisit Erdene-Zuu. It was once one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia. Go on a tour of the monastery grounds and seeseveral chapels with excellent examples ofBuddhist iconography dating from the 16th century. Visit the symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the 13th century capital of theMongol Empire. Drive to Tsetserleg.

Day 7: TsetserlegVisit Khorgiin Togoo and Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. It is a beautiful body of water surrounded by extinct volcanoes. On the way there are caves worth exploring. You may also spot deer, argali (wild sheep) andwild boar.

Day 11: Khongor sand dunes After breakfast drive to Khongor sand dunes. it is known as Singing dunes. Have packed lunch on the way. Visit and possibly climb up Mongolia’s biggest sand dune. Dinner in the ger camp.

Day 12: South GobiAfter an early breakfast at the camp, start the drive towards Karakorum. On the way explore the world famous FlamingCliffs (BayanZag), the Gobi Dinosaurs Cemetery. Visit a local camel breeding family and try a short camel ride.Overnight in the ger camp near the Flaming cliffs.

Day 13: Karakorum Have breakfast at our ger camp. Continue driving to Karakorum. Arrive at Karakorum in the afternoon. Drive toUlaanbaatar.

Day 14: UlaanbaatarVisit Gandan Monastery. All day free at leisure.

Day 15: Departure Transfer to the railway station or airport for international departure.

Please note the following: Hotels in Ulaanbaatar city reserved for double occupancy on more

than 2pax, and in countryside all Ger styled tourist camps are based on 3 or 4 person occupancy.

Check-in at hotels is at 12:00pm/Check-out at hotels is at 12:00pm. Traveling over long distances is done in Delica or Russian Van and

sometimes over rough terrain for approximately 4-9hours depending upon road and weather conditions. Daily driving is distance 150-350km.

Your holiday includes transfers, accommodation and excursions as

specified in your itinerary. It is the responsibility of the client to be fully covered with travel and

medical insurance while traveling in Mongolia.

Accomadation:

The only hotels in Mongolia are in the capital, Ulaanbaatar.

Throughout the countryside accommodation is offered in the form of

traditional Mongolian ‘gers.’ These ger camps are slightly modified for

foreign tourists but in effect offer a traditional experience and the

opportunity to experience Mongolia’s wilderness. Most ger camps are

situated in attractive areas: on the shores of small rivers, nestled

under rocky hills or on vast open plains and all under amazing night skies.

There are also restaurants and bars in a separate concrete

building, or sometimes in large gers.

Extremes of weather and how to prepare for them:

The temperature can change from day to night unpredictably

and drastically, so one should bring warm clothes to wear

during the night-time. Waterproof wind jacket, gloves and hat

are essential.

Other items to pack include:

Trekking boots, warm clothes, sunglasses, lip balm, forehead

flashlight, notebook and pens, spare batteries, a compass,

multiple copies of identification, medical kit first aid box,wear

a money belt for your valuables (passport, cash, etc.), your

personal toiletries (including hand and bath towel, shampoo

and shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrush, dental floss).

Money exchange information:

Travellers should carry a supply of clean and new US dollar

bills. Travellercheques are not common in Mongolia. Credit

cards (Visa, American Express, or MasterCard) are only

accepted in Ulaanbaatar, and are limited to larger hotels,

airlines, tourist agencies, and a few shops. Most Asian and

European currencies can be traded in Ulaanbaatar, but the

US dollar is the most reliable form of currency. Themoney can

be changed in banks and exchange offices.

The bank rates are a little bit lower than in exchange offices.

What clients should expect from the accommodation:.Accommodation in the city will be at a 3-star Hotel orGuesthouse in UB which is the basic standard. Shower or bath and other facilities are available. Accommodation during the trip in countryside will be ger camps.

What clients should expect for meals:Generally the quality of meals in Mongolia is good, dueto the quality of meat, which is 100% organic. Meals in the city will be in restaurants, which serve European, Asian and Mongolian cuisines. In the ger camps, the meals will be either European or Mongolian.

TOURIST VISAS OF MONGOLIA

A visa is required by everyone except those who

hold USA, Malaysia, Israel passports traveling within

30 days and those with Singaporean, Philippines and

Hong Kong passports traveling within 15 days. Visas

are usually valid for 30 days and should be applied for

at least one month before arrival in Mongolia.
