First Love Rebellion Alienation Parties Raves Social Groups, cliques and American pop-culture.
We noticed that a lot of teen films have an array of bright colours and the musicthat dominates a lot of teen films are Pop, Rock and RnB /hip hop, as these arethe genres of music that are very popular amongst young people.

comedy film which gave us theinspiration to create TranslationCheck! O.D.D.
The film features two
characters (Will and Charlotte)who both have loser status andare trying to break the ever-famous Status Quo by forminga band in order to win a recordcontract.
Although they fail to win, theirpopularity dramatically increasesin school, which makes the film afeel good film.

Mean GirlsMean Girls Mean Girls is a 2004 teen romantic
comedy, starring Lindsay Lohan anddirected by mark waters.
It is based on the book Queen beesand wannabees by RosalindWiseman. Which describes how
female high school social cliquesoperate, and the effect they canhave on girls and a few of theactresses own experiences.
Mean girls was another teen film welooked at in terms on how it lookedat cliques and personalities within ahigh school, but we still made sure todraw from our own experiences, indeciding the characters we wanted.

A weeaboo is someone who is known to be obsessedwith Japan, Japanese Culture, Anime, and everythingthat is japanese, and an otaku is a japanese term forsomeone who is obsessed with videogames, anime andmanga, basically, the east asian version of a geek.

Rebel Rebels are often the teenagers who decide
not to listen or adhere to rules, their parentsor grown ups in general. Typically they stay
out late at night listen to loud music and wearodd and unusual clothing. Rebels go against allauthority.
Piercings, tattoos and scars often connote
rebels.

In teen films, they are typically the characters to usewhen using outcasts.
They are usually picked on for being intelligent and
completing work by everyone.

Loner A person who avoids and does not seek other human interaction
and usually prefers to be alone, there are many reasons why aloner may seek solitude such as religious or philosophical beliefsor they may be extremely shy and introverted.
More recently in popular culture the idea of the loner has
become quite romantic within stories since he or she is seen asvery special and unique. As a result, the concept of a lonelyhero is usually a recurring theme in films andnovels.

The reason why we chose our school as our location isbecause as a teen film, a high school setting is oftenused and we are all familiar with our school.
