Meet the Adults in Your Class

This is Mrs CarltonShe is the Belvoir Class Teacher“I can’t wait to meet you – we are going to

have lots of fun together.”

This is Mrs Ketteringham.She is the Belvoir Class Teaching

Reception Class is known as

Belvoir Class (pronounced beaver)

Our library and

quiet reading areaWe can’t wait to share some of our

books with you. There are lots that we all enjoy reading and listening to.

What’s your favourite book?

Our snack time area. You can help yourself to a snack each

day and we will encourage you to drink from your own water bottle as much as

possible.

When you start full time, you’ll love lunchtimes too.

Our carpet area. You will have your own carpet place to sit at. This is where you will listen to stories or share ideas with your teachers. When we first start school

we’ll be using special spots to sit on instead of the rug – I wonder which colour you will sit on?

Belvoir Classroom

A special place for your imagination to run wild!

We have our own toilets in Belvoir classroom, they are next to the locker area. Can you see

what’s on the front of the toilet door? You must be very good at washing your hands now! It’s

important that when you start school you are able to go to the toilet and keep yourself clean by

yourself. Keep practising.

You will have your very own locker to keep all your things

in during the day.

Outdoor Classroom

Lots of lovely space to explore the world around you. What do you like

to do outdoors? What is your favourite time of year?

Can you remember our names?

Do you know what your name looks like when it is written somewhere?

Ask all your friends and family to write your name somewhere, hide it and see if you can spot it. We wonder if you’ll be able to spot your name in Belvoir Classroom when you

start with us. Bye for now!
