Ever since the Age of Discoveries, the profound ties that span an ocean to unite Portugal and Brazil

have been etched in history. In recognition of a unique cultural relationship, the creation of this

exceptional range of porcelain saw the collaboration of a Brazilian designer with Portuguese

craftsmanship.  A dash of contemporary style contrasting with strong, traditional influences, these

pieces are reminiscent of the infamous and omnipresent azulejos - intricately decorated tiles that

conjure up an azure, a phenomenon which is in evidence today in historic public buildings, churches

and private quintas.

These striking pieces make the

most wonderful table setting when

layered together, combining the

dramatic stripes of the charger

plates with the delicate azulejo

design of the smaller side plate.

Nautical markings on the charger

plate commemorate the

Portuguese Age of Discoveries.
