  • Ever since the Age of Discoveries, the profound ties that span an ocean to unite Portugal and Brazil

have been etched in history. In recognition of a unique cultural relationship, the creation of this

exceptional range of porcelain saw the collaboration of a Brazilian designer with Portuguese

craftsmanship. A dash of contemporary style contrasting with strong, traditional influences, these

pieces are reminiscent of the infamous and omnipresent azulejos - intricately decorated tiles that

conjure up an azure, a phenomenon which is in evidence today in historic public buildings, churches

    and private quintas.

  • These striking pieces make the most wonderful table setting when

layered together, combining the dramatic stripes of the charger plates with the delicate azulejo design of the smaller side plate.

Nautical markings on the charger plate commemorate the

    Portuguese Age of Discoveries.

This delightful piece is ideal for place settings or alternatively, it could be used as a decorative

object perhaps displayed as a pair on a coffee table. Its blue and

white azulejo inspired patterning is edged in fine gold creating an eye-

    catching and stylish bowl.

Sold in sets of two bowls, it is part of a larger range of luxury formal

    dining from James De Moura.

  • This adorable porcelain espresso cup has been decorated in the

traditional pattern of the historic blue azulejo tiles that can be found

    throughout Portugal.

Complemented by a beautiful saucer with bold blue contrasting

stripes on the underside, it is

perfect as part of a formal table setting or lovely to use in the

kitchen as a stylish way to share a coffee with friends. Available in sets

    of four cups and saucers.
