Assignment

Directions: Write a friendly letter about something you are thankful for.

Who should receive this letter?

Ex. Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Grandmother, Grandfather, Brother, Sister.

Parts of a Friendly Letter

Heading – Includes your address in the upper right corner

Salutation – Usually begins with the word Dear and is followed by the name of the person you are writing to.

Body - Contains your thoughts. You need to indent each paragraph

Closing – Write the closing (Sincerely, Yours truly, etc.) two lines below the body of your letter. Capitalize only the first word and follow the closing with a comma.

Signature – Put your signature under the closing.

Do you remember that time when I got lost in the restaurant? I will also never forget all of our fun trips down to Disney World. Sometimes, I think we had more fun in the car than we did at the amusement park. I remember when we used to listen to Madonna. Listening to you sing her songs was really funny!
