Similarly, this state has also been connected to greenery, so the name given to it. The population ranges from 25,353,081 people in an area of 44,212 sq. km. with about 76.64% literacy rate. The local languages include Hindi, Haryanvi, English, etc. The capacity building workshop on art integrated learning was held from 10 th to 14 th November, 2014 jointly by N.C.E.R.T., New Delhi and S.C.E.R.T., Haryana at S.C.E.R.T., Gurgaon. About 47 participants were a part of the training workshop. The workshop was carried out under the guidance of Prof. Pawan Sudhir, Head, Department of Education in Arts & Aesthetics, N.C.E.R.T. The workshop focused upon the following aspects: “Chetna Satra” or Morning Assembly: the workshop began with the morning assembly each day wherein the participants were motivated to design different geometrical shapes to make it more attractive and creative. The prayers would be sung in new languages every day; storytelling, poem narration, local regional news, and theatre activities became a part of the morning assembly as well. The participants were asked to attend the workshop in different costumes and outfits on a daily basis, so that they will be able to utilize the art forms which they learnt during the day. The participants wore their self-created face masks, and sometimes they even made use of it while giving a performance, thus making the workshop more creative and energetic. The participants agreed to the fact that the morning assembly in school will bring positive and creative flow in the schools. Theatre: the training workshop at Gurgaon was made attractive with puppetry, story-telling and performances through which various subjects in the classroom could be transacted, and also make the class environment interesting, attractive and easy towards learning and development.

Documentary Films: the participants viewed videos/films that were designed by NCERT as
well as a few schools where a rts as pedagogy is being well-implemented. Ms. Veena Gandhi,
principal of an MCD School in Delhi presented a film that was designed by her, comprising
of the activities that have been taking place in her school with the help of this pedagogy. The
videos/films provided a clear understanding of art integrated learning to the participants.

100% attendance and involvement of all the participants Announcement by educational officers of the state on the importance of implementing
Art Integrated Learning in districts like Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurgaon, Mahendragarh, Mewat and Bawal
Coverage of the training workshop in art integrated learning undertaken by the local newspapers of the state
Transaction of lessons in various subjects for classes 1 to 8 through the medium of theatre and puppetry
The participants had successfully become Master Trainers after the training session.
