PART I COURSE OVERVIEW
1. TITLE: Training Course on Intellectual Property Right for ASEAN countries
2. PERIOD: November 15 (Thu.)—December 1 (Sat.), 2018.
3. GOAL
To share know-how and help enhance management ability of trainees who
will be responsible for the management of intellectual property system
4. OBJECTIVES
1) To provide theoretical and practical training about intellectual property (IP)
2) To train professionals of developing countries who are related to intellectual
property
3) To provide participants with knowledge and insight into the field of
Intellectual Property Right (IPR) and Intellectual Property (IP) System.
4) To share Korea’s experience and know-how on intellectual property system
which were obtained in the process of economic development.
5) To help participants find ways to build efficient intellectual property laws and
systems for their home countries
6) To promote mutual trust and understanding among participants through the
exchanges of cultural experiences
5. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 24 participants
Cambodia (3), Indonesia (3), Laos (3), Malaysia (3), Myanmar
(3), Philippines (3), Thailand (3), Vietnam (3)

10. QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS:
Mandatory
a) Be nominated by his/her government;
b) Be in good health both physically and mentally, enough to
take the course;
c) Have not participated in the same KOICA training program for
the past three 3 years;
Preferable
a) Be a government employee in a managerial position with at least
5 years of work experience in the field of intellectual property;
b) Be a university graduate or have an equivalent educational
background;
c) Sufficient Proficiency in spoken and written English
