Dark lighting suggests morbid events are about to happen.

Asymmetric shot: Two ‘bridesmaids’ have lights on their face, emphasises their importance. Contrasts with the darkness in the background.

Everyone dressed in black, usually associated with funerals. Black confetti and dresses, emphasise a gothic theme.

Serious/ Gaunt expressions on characters faces, authorises power and control.

Both characters appear in black: associated with dark/ gothic events (or unsure about the situation).

Candles appear to be the only sauce of unnatural light.

Serious, harsh facial expressions highlight the possibility of terror and anger towards the audience.

Camera is placed on the floor for a low angle shot, so the audience understand the significance of the fall.

Doll is dropped and head smashes into pieces, symbolising death or danger for the baby.

Echo as the doll hits the floor, again emphasises importance and the impact of what is about to happen at ‘the Wedding’,

High angle shot to show the whole of the congregation.

Dark lighting at the sides. Gets whiter towards the middle of the shot to show significance and draw the audiences eyes towards the characters in question.

Black wedding dress and confetti continuing the theme of danger and gothic.

False smile on characters face, lighting highlights all three faces, drawing the audiences attention and beginning to make the suspicious. Maybe the characters know something that the ‘bride’ doesn’t?

Black glove- normally seen on murderers to cover up fingerprints.

Close up to engage the audience with the lack of emotion on the characters face.

Black tear emphasises the unhappiness within this characters life.

Red lips symbolise murder, or love.

Black veil with white skin, gaunt and gothic, quite depressing. Shows serious unhappiness and unsure within the characters relationship.

The song lyrics state, ‘it’s a nice day for a white wedding’ throughout. therefore contrasting completely with the images being portrayed. This underscores the whole trailer.
