Dinki Mini is of African origin. From the Congolese word ‘ndingi’-
lamentation or funeral song. It is also known as gerreh. (tacky) It is a mixture of song and dance.
Dinkies are celebratory occasions.

It is usually performed after the death of a person, and up until the ninth night after the death.
