Sharing Library Members
Stand-Alone• Each user has their own Library Database (lib7.db)
stored on their local drive
• Archive File or Export/Import to share custom library members
• When using Export/Import, both the TRC and EXP files have to be transferred
• When using Archive File tool, only the TAF file needs to be transferred
Network• Users (clients) share a common
Library Database on the network
• No need to Archive file or Export/Import library members
• Typically slower calculation
• Long drop-down menus
• Any user can edit custom items
