With a workforce of 40,000 around the world, we constantly offer the best solutions andmost innovative technologies to our clients to meet the world’s energy challenges.
We operate in three main businesses:
Offshore
In the Offshore business segmentTechnip performs engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and therefurbishment/upgrading of offshorefacilities for the oil and gas industry.
Technip provides these services forfixed platforms in shallow water withconventional sub-structures andself-installing platforms such as theTPG 500 and for deepwater facilitiesincluding Spar, semi-submersible, TLP,FPSO and FLNG units. Technip is aworld leader in floatover installationof topsides and its R&D effort isfocused technology transfer for localcontent and new frontier areas suchas ultra-deepwater and the Arctic.
Onshore
Technip covers the full range ofonshore facilities for the oil and gaschain, petrochemicals and otherenergy industries (nuclear, renewablesincluding biofuels and offshore wind). It holds many proprietary cutting-edge technologies and is the leader inthe design and construction of LNGand gas treatment plants as well asethylene, hydrogen and syngas units.
Technip is also one of the key actorsin refining and petrochemical units, and has developed a leadershipposition in the fertilizer industry. Moreover, the Group is very active innon-energy activities such as miningand metals, life sciences, buildings andinfrastructures.
Subsea
In subsea hydrocarbon development,Technip’s activities include the design, manufacture and installation of rigid andflexible subsea pipelines and umbilicals. Thanks to its portfolio of technologiesand industrial and operational assets,Technip offers a unique verticallyintegrated model in the industry.
The Group has 3 flexible pipemanufacturing plants, 4 umbilicalproduction units, 9 logistics and pipelineassembly bases, and 1 construction yard.Technip’s worldwide leadership issupported by a modern fleet of vesselsfor subsea construction, pipelaydevelopment (rigid and flexible pipesusing S-Lay, J-Lay or Reeled technology)and heavy lift applications.
Technip is a world leader in project management, engineering andconstruction for the energy industry.

A world leader in the gas sector
With more than 50 years of experience, we have established ourselvesas a world leader in the conceptual design, engineering andconstruction of gas production, transport, processing, liquefaction andstorage facilities and terminals. References cover grassroots facilities, ranging from small individual units to gigantic complexes, in every sortof environment, as well as upgrades of existing installations.
4 Gas processing
KHURSANIYAH gas plant - Saudi Arabia - 1,000 MMSCFD
The total installed capacity is about 20 BSCFD (190 BCM) with the largest single unit capacity ataround 1.45 BSCFD.
The acid gas content (H2S + CO2) of gases treatedranges from a few ppm to 60%. Our experience alsocovers liquids (NGL) sweetening with the mainlicensors: UOP, Merichem, Axens, etc.
CAKERAWALA - Malaysia/Thailand - 2 x 350 MMSCFDCO2 removal on membranes
KUPE GAS PROJECT - New Zealand - 70 Tj/d
We have designed over 50 plantsfor the removal of carbon dioxideand sulphur components fromnatural gas using chemical orphysical solvents.

5Gas processing
GONFREVILLE - France - 140t/d
HAWIYAH - Saudi Arabia - 1,050 t/d in 3 units
OGD 1 - Abu Dhabi - 2,100 t/d in 3 units
Technip works with all main process licensors such asLurgi, Pritchard, Parsons, UOP and IFP.
We designed the world’s largest capacity (2,250 t/d)for Machino-import at Astrakan (Russia).
Sulphur recovery
With some 80 units producing morethan 35,000 t/d, we are the leadingengineering contractor in the fieldof sulphur recovery plants.
6 Gas processing
OGD 2 - Abu Dhabi - Glycol unit
A total capacity in excess of 30 billion SCFD has beeninstalled by Technip with single unit capacity rangingfrom 8 million SCFD to more than 1 billion SCFD.
ORENBURG - Molecular sieve unit
Dehydration
We have extensive experience ingas dehydration units using soliddessicant (mainly molecularsieves) or glycol.
7Gas processing
PETROSA GTL unit - South Africa
ORYX GTL complex - Qatar - 34,000 BPD of liquids
Gas-To-Liquids (GTL) technology converts natural gas into high quality petroleum products, such as naphtha and dieselfuel. They are sulphur free, contain no aromatics and the diesel fuel has a high cetane number.
Technip is a leader in the design and construction of GTL facilities. Construction of the Oryx GTL complex wascompleted in 2006. This was the result of 3 years of intense and challenging work for our Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams.
Gas-To-Liquids (GTL)
Technip built Qatar's first GTL plantfor the QP/Sasol joint venture(Oryx) in Ras Laffan, with thehighest reactor capacity to-date.Through the acquisition of Stone &Webster Process Technologies, weare the exclusive co-developer ofSasol Fischer Tropsch reactortechnology.

LNG receiving terminals
Technip offers the complete range of services for LNG receiving terminals:
Conceptual design studies including terminal siting studies
Design services for permitting activities
Front-End Engineering & Design (FEED) services
Complete detailed engineering, procurement and constructioncapability to execute the LNG Terminal on a lump sum turnkey basis.
In 2008, Technip's Houston office completed the Freeport LNG terminalon the Texas Gulf Coast. This was the first EPC contract for an LNGreceiving and regasification terminal to be completed in the US for morethan two decades.
