Offshore

In the Offshore business segmentTechnip performs engineering,procurement, construction,installation, commissioning and therefurbishment/upgrading of offshorefacilities for the oil and gas industry.

Technip provides these services forfixed platforms in shallow water withconventional sub-structures andself-installing platforms such as theTPG 500 and for deepwater facilitiesincluding Spar, semi-submersible, TLP,FPSO and FLNG units. Onshore

Subsea

KHURSANIYAH gas plant - Saudi Arabia - 1,000 MMSCFD

The total installed capacity is about 20 BSCFD (190 BCM) with the largest single unit capacity ataround 1.45 BSCFD.

The acid gas content (H2S + CO2) of gases treatedranges from a few ppm to 60%. Our experience alsocovers liquids (NGL) sweetening with the mainlicensors: UOP, Merichem, Axens, etc.

CAKERAWALA - Malaysia/Thailand - 2 x 350 MMSCFDCO2 removal on membranes

KUPE GAS PROJECT - New Zealand - 70 Tj/d

We have designed over 50 plantsfor the removal of carbon dioxideand sulphur components fromnatural gas using chemical orphysical solvents.

Technip works with all main process licensors such asLurgi, Pritchard, Parsons, UOP and IFP.

We designed the world’s largest capacity (2,250 t/d)for Machino-import at Astrakan (Russia).

Sulphur recovery

With some 80 units producing morethan 35,000 t/d, we are the leadingengineering contractor in the fieldof sulphur recovery plants.

A total capacity in excess of 30 billion SCFD has beeninstalled by Technip with single unit capacity rangingfrom 8 million SCFD to more than 1 billion SCFD.

PETROSA GTL unit - South Africa

ORYX GTL complex - Qatar - 34,000 BPD of liquids

Gas-To-Liquids (GTL) technology converts natural gas into high quality petroleum products, such as naphtha and dieselfuel. They are sulphur free, contain no aromatics and the diesel fuel has a high cetane number.

Technip is a leader in the design and construction of GTL facilities. Construction of the Oryx GTL complex wascompleted in 2006. This was the result of 3 years of intense and challenging work for our Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams.

Gas-To-Liquids (GTL)

Technip built Qatar's first GTL plantfor the QP/Sasol joint venture(Oryx) in Ras Laffan, with thehighest reactor capacity to-date.Through the acquisition of Stone &Webster Process Technologies, weare the exclusive co-developer ofSasol Fischer Tropsch reactortechnology.

In 2008, Technip's Houston office completed the Freeport LNG terminalon the Texas Gulf Coast. This was the first EPC contract for an LNGreceiving and regasification terminal to be completed in the US for morethan two decades.
