Moquegua is a department of Peru located southeast of the country, on the western slope of the Andes. To the north it borders Puno and Arequipa to Tacna south and the Sea of Grau, to the east with the departments Puno and Tacna to Arequipa west and the pacific ocean. Located in the southwestern region has coastal and mountain regions. Ubinas, its disturbing volcano is the only active throughout Peru. On its slopes, the land is fertile, in contrast to the desolation of their summits.

Circuit Monumental areaThe traditional elements of architecture are typical of Moquegua slanted roof, the front smooth and carved windows and carved wooden doors and iron gates.The traditional buildings used adobe, stone, thatch and wood in structural and decorative elements that can be found in traditional houses dating from the mid eighteenth century.

Plaza de ArmasOf particular colonial property, highlights the ornamental pool which was designed by the French Gustavo Eiffiel, and built of iron. The pool has three bodies, rate and central sculptural group in the center of the intermediate platform, their beauty look the Three Graces of Greek mythology: Aglaia, Thalia and Edrosine. The Plaza is unique in its semi-enclosed space with mature trees (ficus) that give special microclimate.

Hot Springs of San CristobalLocated in the district of San Cristobal, at an altitude of 3000 m in Putina riverbed.
