T urism MonthGoulburn Valley
discoverWelcome to Goulburn Valley Tourism Month, October 2011. Now in its third year, our region’s tourism month is an exciting event with more than 100 activities and tourism experiences to encourage locals and visitors to discover all that the region has to offer.
Spanning four shires, Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie, this showcase of local attractions, product, music, culture and sporting events will entice everyone to explore the newest and most popular attractions as well as discover some of our hidden gems and the amazing array of local produce.
Throughout the month of October, visit a farm gate, take in some live theatre or be inspired by clever craftsmen and local producers at a myriad of markets and food and wine festivals. See our Market Directory in the centre pages of this booklet for a year round wrap of what’s on.
This year we welcome the prestigious Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour to the region, award winning gardens will open their gates and a huge community celebration on October 30 will cap off a fabulous month of things to see and do.
Embrace and enjoy the Goulburn Valley!
