Africa Showcase adds MICE to the mix

Next year our expert team will be adding a MICE component in select markets specifically for hotels, conference centres, convention bureaux and incentive companies.

Our first markets? Southeast Asia followed by rollout in North America and Europe.

The MICE sector is among the most competitive in tourism, and incentive agencies, PCOs and global corporates are continually hunting for new destinations with outstanding facilities and partners who can get the job done.

Africa is fast becoming a sought after destination for business travel, due to growing political stability, good economic growth and an increase in accessibility. Several countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Ghana are actively targeting business tourism as a significant growth driver, with suppliers looking for additional ways to reach the big international players sending business to our continent.

On Show Solutions is using its tried-and-tested formula of putting products directly in front of selected buyers, in the source market. If you specialise in the MICE sector, sign-up for the VIP meetings with senior MICE buyers. Numbers will be limited to keep the exclusive focus.

We offer affordable and seamless solutions to create instant connections that turn into long-lasting, and profitable business relationships. Be a pioneer andcapitalise on what we know will become an indispensable event.

BIG NEWS

On Show Solutions manages Magical Kenya Travel Expo

The latest feather in the On Show cap was being appointed by the Kenya Tourism Board to manage their flagship show, MKTE, over the next five years. We’re taking our global expertise to reinvigorate what is one of the fastest growing shows in East Africa.

Our primary focus for MKTE 2017 was to grow the exhibitor numbers, improve the quality of hosted buyers and deliver a strong meeting system. More than 190 exhibitors participated, a record number for the seventh edition of the show demonstrating a 30% increase. One of the most obvious new initiatives at this year’s show was the exhibitor segmentation, with five key areas to highlight the region’s tourism offering: Transport, Tour Operators, Accommodation, Destination Marketing, Technology.

Exhibitors went through a vigorous matchmaking service to set direct appointments with the highest quality of buyers MKTE has ever approved. This year’s hosted buyers, from more than 25 countries, were selected through a stringent evaluation to participate in the new matchmaking service which delivered over 4600 pre-scheduled appointments during the three day expo.

Hosted Buyers arrived at the KICC with plenty of energy and excitement, following their megafam to showcase the best of Kenya. Association partners, DMCs, operators and properties were directly involved in building this extremely valuable part of the hosting programme.

Please go to www.mkte.co.ke to find out to participate in the leading show in East Africa for the African continent.
