Tough Mudder is an endurance event series whose mission statement revolves around teamwork and perseverance.This exciting new series combines the proven successful formats of Dancing with the Stars, The Biggest Loser and American Ninja Warrior to create a brand new obstacle challenge series featuring celebrities, local competitors and elite athletes.

Capitalizing on the new subculture of die-hard obstacle and adventure races that are growing across America, Tough Mudder is not for the faint of heart. Oh, no. It’s a thrill seeking, heart pumping, hold-on-to-your-pants obstacle course and mud race built to kick your ass!

Option one: This series will travel to Tough Mudder event locations with a new cast of celebrities competing with a local team from the event area.

Option two: Production will be staged at one fixed location. Celebrities will compete with local teams that will be brought in from around the country each week.

Local teams will consist of competitors from all walks of life. Examples include, people who have overcome personal challenges, corporate executives, community leaders, military members and local heroes like Police Officers/Firefighters/EMTs.

Each episode, will follow our celebrities as they train-together. All the while, we will have a “hometown- camera crew” following the training regime of our local fitness enthusiasts. For example, the LA event can cover a team of celebrities competing against the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The teams will have to work as a group. Through teamwork and camaraderie they will push and challenge each other to get through the courses. The team that pushes through the mental and physical challenges with the best time will prevail.

Tough Mudder obstacles will push our stars & local teams past their physical and mental limits as well as challenge basic human fears: fire, water electricity and height.

At the conclusion of the episode, the goal is not to win but have a story to tell and a donation to make. The goal is to challenge oneself beyond limits you never thought possible.

If the celebrity team prevails over the locals, money will be donated to the celebrity’s charity of choice. If the locals win, money will be donated to a hometown charity chosen by the local competitors like the Los Angeles County Fighter's Foundation.

Option three: This series would focus on the competition and competitors of “World’s Toughest Mudder”. Much more in the vein of American Ninja Warrior, each episode will follow and profile individual participants as they compete against a field of world class athletes and themselves to be crowned “World’s Toughest Mudder”.

With a focus on the true “stars” of the mud running/obstacle sports world this series format is perfect for team and international spin offs like, East vs. West & Team America vs. The World.
