Total Retirement Center User GuideA focus on Terminations
This module of the Total Retirement Center (TRC) User Guide is designed to provide you with the following information:
How to initiate a termination for an employee leaving the plan
How to use the Scheduled Payout Report
Under the “ Plan Management” section, choose “Initiate a Service”.

2
Click Termination/Retirement Notification
Enter the terminating or retiring participant’s social security number. Then click “Next.”
If you terminate a participant before their last contribution, it may not be included in their payout or rollover, and they will receive a second check, and may be subject to an additional processing fee.
Check all the information for accuracy. If the address is incorrect, the Distribution Package will not get to the participant. If the hire date is incorrect, vesting could be wrong.
Enter the date of Termination or Retirement, and the total hours worked in the current plan year.
Then click “Next.”
Double check the information you entered, and the participant’s vesting. Use the Edit button below if you made an error.
If all information is correct, click the confirm button.
Please print the confirmation for your records.
Next, you can process another Termination, or check the Scheduled Payout Report for Glenn’s Termination.
This is an explanation of the actions that will be taken and an overview of the process for non-respondents.
If we do not receive Glenn’s termination form by 10/02/2005, action will be taken on his behalf. The account will either be cashed out, distributed to a Mandatory IRA, or deferred (kept in the plan), depending on the account balance at the time of distribution.
