Cut a large loaf of bread into thick slices
Pour the milk into a deep bowl, add the sugar and beat them together to get a good mixture
Take the egg and beat it in a separate bowl
Heat the olive oil. Meanwhile dip the slices in the milk for about 2 minutes. After that, dip quickly the slices in the egg you have just beaten
Place the dipped slices in a frying pan and fry them until they get golden. Finally, leave them into a kitchen paper to drain the oil
You can serve them topped with sugar, honey and cinnamon
Dip them into wine
You can also make them in different ways, like using wine instead of milk.
