Torque control device
Using the torque control device
Torque control device.Being used together with the SCS screwdriver in order to torque abutments and restorations from Straumann®.
Storing the torque control deviceThe torque control must be disassembled for cleaning and sterilization. It shall be stored disassembled and only assembled before use.
Using the torque control devicePlace a finger on the SCS screwdriver for stability. Push/pull the drop shaped handle only, until it has reached the correct torque marking. See page 1 for details. Observe! The arrow shall always point clockwise.
Abutment The abutment is inserted into the implant and tightened by hand first. With the use of the torque control device you torque the abutment to the correct torque with one uninterrupted movement. The screw channel can be sealed with e.g., guttapercha/silicontube and composite.
Restoration. The restoration is inserted on the abutment/into the implant and tightened by hand first. With the use of the torque control device you torque the it to the correct torque with one uninterrupted movement. The screw channel can be sealed with e.g., guttapercha/silicontube and composite.
The torque in this guide is only valid for Straumann® Original or Createch prosthetics on Straumann® implants. Regarding prosthetic components or restorations which is not manufactured by Straumann®. Please contact the supplier/manufacturer for the correct torque it is the abutment/screw that decides the torque not the implant.
