DATE: 23rd June 2017 Issue: Summer 2 EID Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on either the 25th or 26th June 2017. Many of us will be celebrating this very special occasion. It marks the end of the month of Ramadan. Here’s how some of the teachers will be celebrating: Tamanna—’ On the day of Eid we will have a very special breakfast with my family. We always start our breakfast with something sweet and then move on to eating the samosas!’ Elias—’I will wake up early in the morning, pick up my mum and go to the mosque to pray. Then I’ll come home and eat something sweet for breakfast. It feels so good to have a proper breakfast in the morning after a month of fasting!’ Samina—’I do ‘Secret Eid’ with my family. This is when we exchange presents but we don’t know who has bought it for us. My favourite present I received was a saree from my parents.’ TOPIC TALK Year 1 performed their ‘Topic Talk’ assembly on Friday. Their topic this term is ‘From A to B’. The children spoke about their favourite modes of transport, read their transport poems and showed off their transport models. Well done to all the children in Year 1, Arti is very proud of you!
