This medieval castle from the 12th century is also the official residence of the Princely Family. Highlights in the Treasure Chamber include the Princely Crown, the world-famous Apple Blossom Egg by Fabergé and moon rocks brought back by the Apollo 11 and 17 missions. Open daily 10 am until 5 pm → schatzkammer.li Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein with Hilti Art Foundation The Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein is the museum of modern and contemporary art in the heart of Vaduz which regularly presents temporary exhibitions. In 2015 it was extended to incorporate the exhibition building of the Hilti Art Foundation, an important private collection of outstanding works of classical modern and contemporary art. Monday to Friday, 8 am until 6 pm Saturday 10 am until 5 pm → hofkellerei.li Historical Eschnerberg Trail The Historical Eschnerberg Trail is located in Liechten- stein’s Unterland, the name given to the northern part of the country. It starts in Bendern and extends across Eschnerberg all the way to Schellenberg. Walkers can either take on the full Historical Eschner- berg Trail or one of four clearly signposted circular walks with information boards about archaeological finds, local legends and important events in the country’s natural history. → hoehenweg.li Gutenberg Castle Balzers Gutenberg Castle is located on the 70-metre-high castle hill in the middle of Balzers. The castle hill has been inhabited since the Neolithic Period, and the archaeological finds unearthed here can be seen in the Liechtenstein National Museum. After a leisurely walk to the site, the outer castle can be visited all year round. Sareis viewing platform Located on a ridge high above the Malbun valley, at 2000 metres above sea level, the Sareis viewing platform offers majestic views of Liechtenstein’s mountains. The nearby restaurant marks the starting point for a number of hikes, including to the Pfälzer hut, and is a great place to sit down, admire the view and soak up the sun. Lama trekking Experience a special llama and alpaca tour through forests and meadows followed by a tasty cheese fondue or a hearty dinner under the stars. It is also possible to stay overnight in a tepee on the llama and alpaca farm. → lama-alpaka.li Walk with a golden eagle The Galina Falconry Center offers visitors the incredible chance to admire a golden eagle in flight in its natural environment. The adventure begins with a journey up to the Sareis ridge using the chairlift. The Liechtenstein Trail has starting points in each municipality. Due to the length of the route, we recommend dividing it up into several stages.
