TOOLING IDENTIFICATION AND PHOTO REQUIREMENTS FOR

CHRYSLER OWNED TOOLS

REQUIRED ASSET IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION:

•  Every tool must be properly identified with the required asset I.D. information.

•  Asset I.D. information must be permanently marked on the tool via etching, embossing or stamping. NOT acceptable as permanent mark: stenciling, painting , inking, riveting, gluing and welding ID tags.

•  Each I.D. must include the statement: “PROPERTY OF CHRYSLER” •  Each I.D. must include the tool identification number; aka “STR” number . •  Each I.D. must include the description of the part made by tool.

•  Each I.D. must include the tool description (multi-cavity, etc.).

IMPORTANT  

•  Chrysler requires asset photos for every tool. •  The tool needs to be photographed in the ‘open’ condition and in the

‘closed’ condition. •  The asset I.D. information must show in the photograph of the tool.

•  Take a separate close-up picture of the asset I.D. if the STR # cannot be clearly read on the full shot picture of the tool.

•  One tool usually requires several pictures. Pictures are to be assembled on a Power Point slide so they can be enlarged if necessary. Arrows, circles, etc. help with identification.
