Starry Night String Quartet comes to Chancel Arts at Kent Lutheran on Nov. 23rd at 3 PM. Featured performers are Sharyn Peterson, violin 1, Blayne Barnes, violin 2, Leslie Johnson, viola and Mannfried Funk, cello. Founded in 1998 by Sharyn Peterson, she has been featured with several symphonies in the Northwest and is Concertmaster/Director of the Starry Night Chamber Orchestra which frequently accompanies dance and choral organizations. Blayne Barnes plays regularly with the Seattle Symphony and is a member of the Britt Festival Orchestra in Southern Oregon. Leslie Faye Johnson trained at Julliard School and performs as principal Violist/Solo Violist of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. Mannfried Funk is principal cellist and personnel manager for the Federal Way Symphony. He has won numerous awards from solo competitions and has a Master's degree in music education.
