INTRODUCTION The Reports section of PA PBPS has several categories of reports available for the use of monitoring data entry and/or billing purposes. These reports pull data and numbers based on data entry from within PA PBPS and the database. The reports are grouped as follows: Planning, Program, Service, Demographics, Administrative, Funding, Evaluation & Forms, and Compliance. This manual provides a complete list of the reports available within PA PBPS, however not all reports will be available to all levels (State, SCA, and Provider). All data displayed on the report is test data that has been entered into the Demo application.

POP-UP BLOCKERS Modern computer security technology and usability features development have lead to pop-up blocking. Although this new feature of internet browsers, toolbars and other 3rd party managing software blocks hazardous and annoying pop-ups, sites like PA PBPS require pop-ups to be able to function. If your pop-up blocker is enabled, then there is a possibility that by PA PBPS may not function or appear properly. You should either disable the pop-up blocker while using by the PA PBPS (while remembering to enable it, if desired, when not in by PA PBPS) or create exceptions for the pop-up blocker. This is cumbersome, but may be easier than making exceptions to the pop-up blocker. To create exceptions for the pop-up blocker, open your Internet Explorer browser window. Once the browser is open, click the top toolbar option “Tools” and then go to “Internet Options”. After the Internet Options window is available, you will want to click on the “Privacy” tab at the top of the window. You will notice while on the “Privacy” tab, at the bottom will be a section on Pop-Up Blockers. If you’re “Block Pop-Ups” checkbox is checked, then click on the “Settings” button. You can now add by the PA PBPS links to the “Allowed Sites” list which the pop-up blocker will ignore when trying to block pop-ups from by PA PBPS. You will want to add https://kitprevention.kithost.net/ for the live application, and http://demo.kithost.net/ for the demo application. Once these sites are added to your “Allowed Sites” list, the pop-up blocker will no longer prevent pages from loading or appearing while you are using by the PA PBPS.

EVIDENCE-65 AlcoholEdu for High School Service Code: STE02Population Code: SP12IOM: UService Type: R
AlcoholEdu for High School is an online, interactive, alcohol education and prevention course designed toincrease alcohol-related knowledge, discourage acceptance of underage drinking, and prevent or decrease alcoholuse and its related negative consequences. Although high schools typically administer the course to their entirefreshman class each year, the course can be used with other high school populations as well. By implementingthe program at the population level, schools expose students to a consistent message, ultimately creating acommon body of knowledge and a shared experience that helps establish a social safety net among students. Theprogram includes a precourse assessment measuring knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, followed by three 30-minute lessons, a postcourse assessment, and a 30-day (or more) follow-up review of key course concepts andfollow-up assessment. The three lessons address alcohol's effects on the body and impairments produced atvarious blood alcohol concentrations; alcohol's effects on the mind, including brain development, blackouts, hangovers, and risk taking; and factors that influence decisions about drinking and strategies for making healthychoices. Brief lecture formats present current research, and interactive exercises personalize and reinforce theinformation. The course, which requires minimal teacher involvement, may be assigned as an outside project orcompleted in a school's computer lab.
Students can progress through the program at their own pace. Although students have unlimited access to thecourse materials throughout the academic year, schools are encouraged to tie the course to something that ismeaningful to the students, such as a test or project grade, access to a school event, or participation inextracurricular activities. The three lessons are typically completed within 1 to 3 weeks. Students may use theiraccounts throughout the academic year to access alcohol-related Web links or revisit any of the differentinteractive exercises.
