PLACE Classes Completed

We had excellent participation in the five-week series of PLACE lessons in our Adult Bible Classes. The Branch/Stewart Class combined with the Jerry Wade Class, and the Dane Tyner Class combined with the Riley/Dunson Class for the series. Ken Farnham taught the series in the Wade classroom and Dave Dunson taught the series in the Riley/Dunson classroom.

We are now collecting the assessment summary cards from those who have completed all five of the assessment surveys. This will allow us to compile the results and be better able to assist people in finding good fits for ministry service.

If you are missing any week’s class materials, please

contact Dave Dunson through the church office at 918-627-0783. If you were unable to participate in the classes but are interested in doing the complete survey, you can also contact Dave.

Adult Bible Class Schedules

Here is a list of the topics/studies that will be offered this

summer in our Adult Bible Classes. All of the following studies will begin on June 5. The classes meet at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings. The Dane Tyner Class will resume their study of “Genesis” that was put on hold for PLACE. Their class meets upstairs in Room 202. The Jerry Wade Class will start a new verse-by-verse study of Ephesians. They wanted to use the recent sermon series as the backdrop for their summer study. Their class meets downstairs in Room 114. The Branch/Stewart Class meets in Room 203. They will be starting a new video series. The Riley/Dunson Class will begin a study of the “Beatitudes”, and their class meets upstairs in Room 201. We encourage you to use this summer as an opportunity to visit all of these classes and find one that is a good fit for you. We know you will find good fellowship as well as good instruction from the Word.

Game Day - June 8 - Room 114

Mark your calendar for a great time of fun and fellowship at Game Day on Wednesday, June 8. It all begins at

11:30 AM with everyone enjoying his/her “favorite” sack lunch. Games of Mexican Train dominoes follow lunch. Come and join us. Everyone is welcome!

Congratulations, Michael & Lili!

Michael & Lili Sauter welcomed Noelle Lillian on May 24. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long. Big brother, Jonathan, is also excited about the arrival of his sister. We look forward to meeting Noelle soon!

We extend our love and prayers to Jerry Wade and his family on the death of Jerry’s sister, Linda Diemel. Jerry and Shirley traveled to Illinois for Linda’s funeral service on Wednesday, May 25.

Debby Sumpter’s family experienced another loss recently in the death of Teresa Leake. Teresa was the wife

of Debby’s cousin. Her funeral was on Monday, May 23. We extend our love and prayers to their family, as well.

John Pitezel’s dad, Frank Pitezel, passed away on May 22. His funeral service was May 25. Our deepest love goes to the Pitezel family.

May was a very exciting month for our HPCC-supported missionary, Hayley Spencer, as she married Cory Meyer on May 7! This wonderful young couple will reside in Fayetteville, AR where Hayley will continue her mission work and Corey works as an architect.

Please keep Mid-India Christian Mission in your prayers as they recover from a fire in the dormitory that houses Neelam’s Kids.

We want to tell the church body thanks for letting us serve as co-chairs for the mission committee the past two years as the May meeting marked the end of our service term. Brian Jennings and Dave Dunson are serving as interim leadership until new leadership is established.

Home Improvement Ministry Presents

“Tighten The Knot”

Friday, June 3 7-9:30 PM

If you are married, engaged, thinking about it, or know someone who is, we want to make you aware of a valuable opportunity

on the horizon. The thing about knots is that they grow loose over time. Every knot can be tightened!

Dane & Kathy Tyner of Home Improvement Ministry will present a high-quality marriage enrichment event. They will present two sessions from their Tighten the Knot seminar. In these two sessions, the Tyners will help you see invisible forces that work against our marital relationships. Not only will they enable you to see these forces, they will help you see how to combat their negative effects on relationships. You will also be led to a deeper understanding of effective ways to communicate your love.

Enrollment is limited to 12 couples. Pre-registration is required. Tuition is $65 per couple.

Call the H.I.M. offices (918-622-4949) for information or to enroll. Some scholarships are available. And your

satisfaction is guaranteed. H.I.M. will refund your full tuition if you are not satisfied with the value of the experience.

Thank you for all the prayers, visits, concern and love you provided to Dad...all of which were so uplifting to us all. Thank you, also, for the flowers and meal provided to us at his service. You have been a wonderful church family, and we rejoice together at their reunion in their forever home with our Lord and Savior.

The Family of Bill Sumpter

Thank you so much for your cards, phone calls, and prayers in behalf of our mother, Mildred Kellenberger. Special thanks to Dave Dunson and Jerry Riley for their visits at the hospital.
