CREATING AN ARTBOARD

Open Adobe Illusrator.Choose File > New.

Adjust the number of Artboards to two.Change the Units to Inches.

CREATING AN ARTBOARD

Adjust the Width to 8.5Adjust the Height to 11

Click OKSelect File > Save As > Project_Name.ai

SHAPES

Locate the shape tool on the toolbar.Right click to display the other shape tools.

Practice using the rectangle, rounded rectangle, ellipse, polygon and star tools.

COLOR

Make sure you have clicked the Selection Tool.Click on a shape with the Selection Tool to select it.

Double-click the color square showing the shape’s current color. This opens the Color Picker.

Locate the Type Tool on the toolbar.Click and drag inside each shape.• Type the color in each shape.

• You can adjust the font size in the application toolbar.

Locate the Symbols icon on the right side of your screen.Click the symbols library to reveal additional symbol

your right artboard.

Locate the Eff ect tab on the top menu bar of your workspace.
