KNOX, IN - Michael A. “Mike”Garbison, 53, died Tuesday,September 28, 2021, inIndianapolis, Indiana. He wasborn March 15, 1968, in Knox,Indiana, to the late DannyGarbison and Kathy (Howard)Carter. On September 22, 1990,in Knox, he married CarrieSeaman.

Mike enjoyed golfing, scratchoff lottery tickets and spendingtime with his family. He was ahuge IU fan. He had worked forBraunAbility Corporation,Winamac, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife,Carrie, two sons: Devin (Kayla)Garbison of Knox and Chad(Rachel) Allen of Crown Point,Indiana, three grandchildren andone on the way, one sister,Michelle Garbison of Las Vegas,Nevada, his mother in his heart,Beverly Griffo and his mother,Kathy Carter of Rensselaer. Hewas preceded in death by onebrother, Matthew Garbison.

Services were held Friday,October 1, at Braman & SonMemorial Chapel, with PastorJames Adcock officiating.Memorials may be made to thefamily.

Arrangements were made byBraman & Son Memorial Chapel,Knox.

STEVEN KENTKRATHWOHL

PLYMOUTH, IN - Steven KentKrathwohl, 65, died Monday,September 27, 2021. He wasborn August 14, 1956, to the lateNorris and Lois Krathwohl. OnAugust 11, 1991, he marriedMary A. Richardson.

Steven was a 1974 graduate ofPlymouth High School and a1975 graduate of WyomingTechnical Institute. He was amember of the United Church ofGod, Elkhart Congregation andloved his family very much.

He is survived by his wife, Mary,three daughters: Jennifer Bailey,Kristina (Ryan) Moore andStefanie (Andrew) Shank, fivegrandchildren, two brothers: J.D.(Alicia) Krathwohl and Mark(Barbara) Krathwohl, and two sis-ters: Pamela Chizum and Kim(Peter) Paul.

A graveside service was heldSunday, October 3, at the OakGrove Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.

Arrangements were made byM.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox.

NORMA J.HARRIS

LOGANSPORT, IN - FORMERLYOF KNOX, IN - Norma J. Harris,66, died Sunday, September 26,2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor.She was born September 30,1954, in Knox, Indiana, to the lateFlora Mae (Button) Harris.

Norma was a 1974 graduate ofKnox High School, where shewas recognized for having all fouryears of perfect attendance. Shealso was a straight A student inspelling. She was a member ofthe River of Life ChristianChurch.

She is survived by two sisters:Beverly Louise Minix ofSalyersville, Kentucky and MarlaJ. Cleanger of Inverness, Florida.She was preceded in death byfour sisters: Maxine, Carol,Patricia and Shirley and twobrothers: Ronald and Carl Harris.

Services were held Saturday,October 2, at Fisher FuneralChapel, with Rev. Betsy Arnoldofficiating. Burial was in the RoyalCenter Cemetery, Royal Center,Indiana.

Arrangements were made byFisher Funeral Chapel,Logansport, Indiana.

TERRY LEE BYRD

KNOX, IN - Terry Lee Byrd, 68,died at 6:49pm, Sunday,September 26, 2021, atNorthwest Health-Porter inValparaiso, Indiana. He was bornAugust 17, 1953, in Peoria,Illinois, to the late James Howardand Betty Ray (Shirley) Byrd.

Terry was a truck driver formany years and a gun enthusiastwho enjoyed fishing and spend-ing time with his family.

He is survived by his wife,Sandra Talbert Byrd ofValparaiso, and three siblings:Donna (Gary) Hagen of Star City,Indiana, Robert “Wayne” Byrd ofKnox, Indiana and Toni (Ole)Hagen of Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

A graveside service will be heldat 10am CST, Saturday, October9, at the Crown Hill Cemetery,Knox, with Pastor Bruce Bennettofficiating. Memorial contribu-tions may be made to the localfood bank of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements were made byLakeview Funeral Home &Crematory, LaPorte, Indiana.

SHIRLEY M.RICHIE

WALKERTON, IN - Shirley M.Richie, 76, died Sunday,September 26, 2021, inWalkerton, Indiana. She wasborn August 21, 1945, in Knox,Indiana, to the late Edward andJulia May (Cole) Bradley.

She is survived by two sons:Edward (Brandy) Richie ofWalkerton and Delmos (Holly)Richie of Fish Lake, Indiana, onedaughter, Betsy (Lyle) Laws ofSeminole, Florida, eight grand-children, twelve great grandchil-dren, one brother, William Pattonof LaPorte, Indiana and three sis-ters: Wanda (Jerry) Kaminski ofLoveland, Colorado, Lois Bradleyand Mary Albritton, both ofLaPorte. She was preceded indeath by her husband, DelmosRichie and two sisters: PhyllisWilczynski and Betty White.

A Celebration of Life was heldSaturday, October 2, at theFriendship Baptist Church inSalem Heights, Indiana.

Arrangements were made byBraman & Son Memorial Chapel,Knox.

KNOX, IN - James M. “Jim”Jensen, 73, died Friday, October1, 2021, in LaPorte, Indiana. Hewas born August 25, 1948, inWinamac, Indiana, to the lateAugust and Estella (Kwiatkowski)Jensen. On September 16, 1977,in Knox, Indiana, he marriedShirley McCutcheon. She diedJuly 28, 2019.

Jim enjoyed tractor pulling,farming and spending time withhis family. He had worked as afarmer.

He is survived by two sons: Les(Amy) Jensen of Knox andJames (Theresa) Jensen ofHinesville, Georgia, two daugh-ters: Penny (Ikram) Khan ofFenton, Michigan and LauraJensen of Knox, Indiana, fifteengrandchildren, five great grand-children, two brothers: Marvin(Brenda) Jensen of Knox andMarlin (JoAnn) Jensen of Argos,Indiana and one sister, Jeannie(John) Carlton of Plymouth,Indiana. He was preceded indeath by one son, CharlesJensen, two grandchildren:Himatullah and Noor FatimaKhan and one brother, RichardJensen.

Friends will be received from10am till time of service at 1pm,Friday, October 8, at the Braman& Son Memorial Chapel, with

services beginning at 1pm, withRev. Rick Martin officiating. Burialwill be in the Oak Park Cemetery,Knox. Memorials may be made tothe funeral home.

COLLIERVILLE, TN, FORMER-LY OF KNOX, IN - Dorothea MaeBrooke Briggs, died Saturday,January 18, 2020, at her home.

Dorothea was a Knox HighSchool graduate and lovedspending time with her family.Her hobbies included: fishing,baking, gardening, canning, play-ing card and dice games and wasa novel reader and a crosswordpuzzle enthusiast.

She is survived by three chil-dren: Lori, Bert and Les, sevengrandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, two brothers:Harold and Terry and one sister,Ruthie. She was preceded indeath by one daughter, Kathrynand partner of many years,Lawrence Bihlman.

Private burial is being plannedfor the family.
