ONE ENTRY PER TEAM PER CATEGORY ALLOWED

LOCATION: North Iowa Events Center, Mason City, Iowa. Enjoy the park-like atmosphere with improved amenties! Cookers have pull-in campsites with water hookups at plenty of locations. Best of all, plenty of shade, green grass and fresh air for everyone!

SITES: 20' × 30' sites are included in the entry fee. Additional space is available for an additional fee. All sites are drive-in with no curbs to jump or fight!

ELECTRICITY: Electricity does NOT automatically come with the space. While we have plenty of electricity, please sign up for it on the application (back side). Most locations will have electricity at your door.

T-SHIRTS: Be sure to put the pitmaster’s t-shirt size where it is requested at the top of the registration form. The t-shirt section under ENTRY FEES is only for extra t-shirts you wish to order. T-shirts are ordered the eond of June so if you want to be sure to get your requested size, please register by July 1.

TURKEY: For the first time, turkey is taking the stage at the “Up In Smoke” BBQ Bash! Pitmasters, we encourage you to enter your tastiest turkey creations in hopes of taking home the Turkey Smoke trophy. Each competition team will receive two turkey breast lobes (approximately five pounds each) generously provided by West Liberty Foods. Be creative and highlight the versatility of this lean protein! Turkey Smoke is sponsored by the National Turkey Federation. PRIZES AVAILABLE: 1st Place = $500

DESSERT: Dessert doesn’t have a lot of rules. It must be assembled at the Bash. It does not have to come in a clam shell, but you must put your number on your entry. If you use dishes you would like back, they will be on the turn-in table from 2:30pm–3:30pm Saturday for you to pick up, after which times they will be disposed of.

KCBS RULES & REGULATIONSKCBS rules and regulations will be strictly enforced and can be found at www.kcbs.us. It is the cook team’s responsibility to make sure that it is compliant with current KCBS rules and regulations at the time of the competition.

CONTEST• Registration and set-up will begin at Noon on Thursday, August 8, 2019.

• All contestants must be registered and in place by 9pm Friday, August 9, 2019.

• The Cook’s Meeting will begin at 4pm Friday, August 9, 2019.

• Event held rain or shine. No cancellation refunds.

• Event is open to both professionals and amateurs.

• Friday night quiet time begins at 11:00 p.m.

• No free food sampling to public attendees.

• Contestants must submit complete Federal Income Tax forms (W-9) before setting up their site.
