A. If using a hardware trigger, connect a signal cable (in the Startup Kit) from the Inject Start pins 1(+) and 2(-) to an Autosampler or a Start Run TTL contact closure. If required, connect a signal cable from a device controlled by threshold and timed events to: • pins 8 and 9 (Switch 1) • pins 11 and 12 (Switch 2) For more information on IEEE connections, refer to the 2488 Multichannel Absorbance Detector with MassLynx Control operator's manual. D. Connect an IEEE-488 cable between the detector and the workstation, or to another IEEE connection in the chromatography system. E. Connect power cord. WAT087198 IEEE-488 Power A. • Install the male connector fitting (p/n 700001826) into the drip tray drain. • Tighten the drain fitting until its top is even with the inside surface of the drip tray. • Connect the Tygon tubing (p/n 700001796) to the fitting and route it to a waste container.
