Torah Marketing Initiative:

The need is

real…

Page 2: TMI Presentation

Case #1

A mid size Kiruv yeshiva in Queens is drowning

under heavy debt.

They could not even afford to hire an Executive

Director, so the Menahel is responsible for all

fundraising and administrative work…

…in addition to his Chinuch

responsibilities.

Page 3: TMI Presentation

TMI proposed to oversee a low-cost, high impact

PR/Fundraising plan to span the entire year in

addition to improving revenues by coordinating

tuition efforts.

TMI offered to take on many of the

responsibilities of an Executive Director, plus

many other crucial tasks, at a fraction of the cost

of hiring an Executive Director.

Conclusion:

There is a tremendous need among small to mid

size Yeshivos and Mosdos to have someone

focus on Fundraising and PR since the in-house

staff is usually busy with day-to-day operations.

Most do not realize that outsourcing these

responsibilities can help relieve a serious

pressure and most importantly help them raise

more money.

Case #2

A small Brooklyn Medical Referral organization

needed to print a fundraising brochure.

Their graphic designer in Lakewood quoted a

price of $3,000 for just the printing of the

brochure.

Page 6: TMI Presentation

After TMI discussed the details of the project and

understood the purpose and goals of the

campaign, we were able to reduce the printing

quote by 50% while enhancing the reach of the

campaign.

Page 7: TMI Presentation

Conclusion:

Executive Directors (and graphic designers) are

not aware of the options available to drastically

cut printing expenses.

Case #3A Yeshiva in Long Island needed a publicity

newsletter so they hired a well-known Frum

marketing firm.

They were charged $12,000 for producing the

newsletter, which included text, design, and mail

processing for 5,000 copies.

Page 9: TMI Presentation

TMI could have produced the same job for

approximately $6,500 and included a well-

thought theme to highlight the Yeshiva’s

important accomplishments.

Conclusion:

Many organizations automatically assume that the “well-known” firms are the only option for producing quality PR material (though for most, the cost is totally prohibitive).

Even those that can afford the high prices are often just “a number” and do not feel that the firm spends the time to really understand their unique situation.
