Titles Research…

Genre related films…Undressing My mother…This Documentary Drama is a short film that relates to the idea and creation of our short film “Collision”. I particularly like the idea of using plain and simple white font, especially like the examples taken from the beginning titles of Undressing my mother. This way it delivers information such as directors name, actors names and most importantly the name of the film.

Also the fact that the text stays in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, with a voice over of the protagonist makes it more appealing.

These titles are present for a couple of minutes at the beginning of the film.

Farewell packets of 10…Farewell packets of ten is another genre related film, consisting of 2 characters throughout. In terms of titles there is a bare minimum of the film title shown during the introduction to the film, with a pan up from the table to the two sitting characters.

This is a nice simple way to present titles, and is a common convention found in documentary short films. It allows the information to be displayed clearly using the white font, also giving no specific genre ideas away.
