Title sequence analysis In this post I am analysing film opening titles, especially what they are (studio logo, Director ect..) and also what order they come in, I will use the three films I have chosen to analyse; The Shinning, Se7en and Reservoir dogs, two of these are within the genre for my piece (Se7en and Reservoir dogs) so I will defiantly get a good of what and when my titles should be. Title sequence analysis

In this post I am analysing film opening titles, especially what they are (studio logo, Director ect..) and also what order they come in, I will use the three films I have chosen to analyse; The Shinning, Se7en and Reservoir dogs, two of these are within the genre for my piece (Se7en and Reservoir dogs) so I will defiantly get a good of what and when my titles should be.

The Shinning –

Order of Titles –

- Studio logo - Director - Key cast - Film name - Other cast members - Executive producer

Se7en –

Order of Titles –

- Studio logo/name - Director - Main cast - Film title - Other cast members

Reservoir dogs –

Order of Titles-

- A film by - Key cast - Film Title - Other cast members - Casting by - Music supervisor- Costume designer - Editor - Production designer - Director of photography - Executive producers - Producer

In conclusion I will definitely have the following in my title sequence – studio logo, director, film name and key/other cast members as well as possibly more these occur in all three in my examples, I also think this will inform the audience to the full extent of what they will need at the start. The order in which they will be in is – Studio, Film Title, Director, Producer, Key cast and finally other cast, as this will fit best with our piece and the flow of it.
