The text stands out from the background to highlight the importance of the actors roles within the movie. This has an effect on the audience as it makes them question the actor or actresses significance in the role they are going to play. The film title appears towards the end of the opening sequence. The title is very bold and looks very shiny and translucent. The film title is one of the main things that needs to be included in an opening sequence as it shows the audience what the film is going to be called. The text is surrounded by tall buildings which could be telling the audience that the film is going to be surrounded by tall buildings due to the setting of the film being New York. This links in with the genre of the film as it shows the audience about the idea of being trapped in a town and being suffocated by the tall buildings.

Having two titles on one shot shows the lack of importance these two people have with the film. The titles are very dark and start to blend into the buildings towards the end of their names. The metal colour could be symbolizing thatthese two names are not important to the storyline of the film. This has an effect on the audience as it makes the audience think that these people are not important and they should not take an interest into what their names are doing on the opening sequence. This represents the genre of the film as it shows that characters may be in the background lurking but they should not pay attention to them.
