Titan Times www.saseasschool.org December 7, 2016 Volume 11, Issue 14 SASEAS families, I’m pleased to share that our annual Adopt-A-Family service activity at both campuses was a huge success. We raised over $5,000 to support local families right here in our community. Christmas will be a little brighter for approximately 10 families and 30 children. Thank you to our fifth grade classes for their awesome magnet/button sale, to our St. Andrew campus students for the bake sale goodies, to our 8 th grade families for some amazing cakes (check them out on our Facebook page!), and to all of our families for supporting the effort financially. God bless your generosity! This Thursday, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception as we honor Mary’s conception and life free from the stain of original sin. The Blessed Virgin Mary’s Immaculate Conception is the concrete expression of God's love for Mary, who gave herself fully, completely, and without hesitation to His service. We will celebrate this Holy Day of Obligation on Thursday with a 9:00 a.m. Mass at the Seton campus and 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Andrew. Come worship with us! Students will also be participating in special classroom and grade-level activities, including praying the Rosary, throughout the day. Check out this short YouTube video here from Dr. Edward Sri and Ascension Press to learn more. Please note that this Friday, December 9, is the monthly early dismissal day so our faculty and staff can participate in our ongoing School of Faith spiritual development. It is also the St. Andrew campus outing at Scene 75 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Next Wednesday, December 14, is Father Cordier’s 60 th birthday. Be sure to wish him a happy birthday! It is never too early to start spreading the word and personally inviting friends and neighbors to our annual Open House which kicks off Catholic Schools Week. Save the date for Sunday, January 29! Thank you to the many volunteers who have been working so hard this year in the Seton campus cafeteria to assist our teachers and Milford Nutrition Services. I’ve been so impressed with your dedication! Our basketball teams are getting into the full swing of their seasons now with practices, tournaments, and games. Thank you to all Boosters, coaches and parents who dedicate so much time to provide meaningful athletic opportunities for our teams. League schedules are posted at www.gccys.org. Good luck and go Titans! Play Hard, Play Smart, Play Together! Thank you for ALL you do to support our school! It’s a great time to be a Titan!
