Information Packet 2020-2021 WELCOME TO TEXAS ELITE!!!!
Thank you for your interest in Texas Elite All Stars. Texas Elite is an organization that prides itself on
creativeness, sportsmanship, and excellence in all areas of all-star cheerleading.
We currently have teams ranging from Beginner to Advanced. Our teams are always competitive within
their respective divisions. The Texas Elite staff provides strong disciplined training that allows us to
remain at the top in the all-star industry. We are able to achieve highly competitive teams in every
division, due to our discipline and structure. We require top commitment and dedication-this is
competitive cheerleading, which means “We Compete”.
We teach our athletes to excel in all areas of life, not just cheerleading. We strive for our athletes to
learn more than how to win at competitions, but instead instill them with life lessons such as discipline,
dedication, commitment, and teamwork. We strongly believe that our success starts with our dedicated
parents and athletes. We have collected more than enough trophies, banners, medals, and jackets to fill
our gym, but we are most proud of the life lessons that we have been able to instill in the athletes in our
program- lessons that will last a lifetime!
Program Descriptions There is NO experience necessary to be a part of an Tiny, All Star Prep, or Novice team just a great
attitude and an athlete that is willing to put in some hard work! Every athlete will make a team at
Texas Elite and we will form the best teams necessary based on athletes and their abilities.
Tiny Teams The Tiny team offers young athletes an opportunity to experience the excitement of All-Stars while emphasizing fun, skill acquisition and teamwork. The Tiny Team is the perfect stepping stone for athletes into the full All Star experience! Each athlete will be placed on a team, and exhibition/compete at numerous local events during our cheer season. Practice sessions are once a week for one and a half hours each week. The Tiny team offers athletes an opportunity to experience the excitement of All-Stars without the time commitment, financial obligation and rigorous training schedule.
Novice Teams This program is designed to provide cheerleading teams for beginners, and for the athletes who are not yet ready to commit to the rigor of the competitive program. The Novice teams are a good starting place for athletes interested in trying out the sport, as well as for athletes and families who have a busier schedule or want to diversify their athletic interests. The season runs from August to March, during which time the athletes will perform in numerous local competitions, at times, alongside our competitive cheer teams. There are many similarities between the competitive cheerleading teams and the Novice cheerleading teams in terms of what will be taught. The Novice teams will receive choreography and instruction in all aspects of cheerleading. They will be taught proper technique for all of their stunting, tumbling, jumping and motions no matter what skill level.
All Star Prep Teams Texas Elite All Star Prep Cheer offers athletes an opportunity to experience the excitement of All-Stars without the time commitment, financial obligation and intense training schedule, while emphasizing fun, skill acquisition and teamwork. Texas Elite All Star Prep is the perfect stepping stone for athletes into Texas Elite All Star competitive program, preparation for school cheer or for an athlete that loves cheerleading and doesn’t have the time to commit to a full season. Each athlete will be placed on a team, and will compete alongside our all star teams throughout the year at numerous exciting regional and national events. Practice sessions are once per week for two hours.
Commitment Texas Elite takes enormous pride in the success of every team in our program. We expect every team to be a
top priority for our athletes. Tiny, All Star prep, and Novice teams require less time commitment compared to
a regular All Star team, but we still expect a dedicated athlete. Practices are all important, sometimes that will
mean on a bad day at school, or at home, they will still be expected to participate in practice.
Texas Elite Tiny, All Star Prep, and Novice teams will only practice once a week and therefore all practice time
will be imperative. The only excused absences are contagious illnesses and activities for school that result in a
grade. This includes 1 or 2 extra practices that will be called after the first of the year approaching nationals
season.
Practice Schedules The athletes at Texas Elite participating in Tiny, All Star Prep, or Novice teams will practice on Monday,
Tuesday, or Thursday. The exact day will be determined after tryouts and based on the interest and numbers
on the team. The time of these practices will also depend on the members of the team and the schedule that
will work best with all athletes and Texas Elite team and class schedules.
