More detail given to Daniel from the Book of Scripture in heaven on Persian Empire to when Antichrist becomes the beast (Rev 13) who is the vile person of Daniel 11:21 after the rapture.

Major detail on the activities of Antichrist as the beast; the god he will honor with silver and gold and a 'God of forces'. Also much more detail the treaty and invasion of Israel as told in Dan 9:27 (Daniel's 70th week)

The wars of Antichrist with the kings of the north and south as he makes his way to Zion in Jerusalem to rule the whole world. He honors a 'God of forces' and sits in the rebuilt temple of Jerusalem upon the Ark to show that he is God. Christ returns to save Israel and defeat the beast and his armies at the great and last battle called Armageddon. The Kingdom of God is established forever over all nations.

Daniel 11:2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all, against the realm of Grecia. Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Daniel 8 , and now Daniel 11 all start with world empires ending with Christ’s establishing the visible Kingdom of God. In Daniel 11, Daniel is told by same divine messenger of Daniel 10 the scripture of prophetic truth recorded in heaven. Daniel 11 uses no symbols but straight talk. Daniel, like Daniel 8, starts out with the Persian/Medes Empire as the Babylonian Empire has already fallen to the Persians/Medes as recorded in Daniel 5.

Daniel 5:29-31 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. 30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain. 31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

Persia, Ancient, was a land that included parts of what are now Iran and Afghanistan. Under Cyrus the Great, Darius I, Xerxes, and other leaders it became the home of a great civilization, and the center of a vast empire. The name Persia came from Persis, the Greek name for the region. The Persians themselves called the region the land of the Aryans, from which the name Iran comes. The Persians called their language Aryan (World Encyclopedia 1998). Below are some of the symbols of the Persian Empire studied already in previous chapters.

Daniel 11 now adds new information and says the 4th king of Persia (whose name in history is Xerxes) would battle the Greeks. History records, that after Xerxes, the Persian Empire was then in decline and so other Persian kings are not mentioned.

Xerxes, Darius' son, invaded Greece in 480 B.C., and defeated a force of Spartans and other Greeks after a fierce battle at Thermopylae. But the Persians suffered crushing defeats at Salamis and Plataea, and were driven from Europe in 479 B.C. After Xerxes' death, Persia declined. But the empire continued to exist in spite of revolts until 331 B.C., when Alexander the Great defeated a huge Persian army at the Battle of Arbela (sometimes called the Battle of Gaugamela). This ended the Achaemenid Empire, and Persia became part of Alexander's empire. World Encyclopedia 1998


Alexander the Great (356-323 B.C.) was king of the Macedonians and one of the greatest generals in history. He conquered the Persian Empire, which stretched from the Mediterranean Sea to India and formed much of what was then considered the civilized world. Alexander's conquests furthered the spread of Greek ideas and customs in western Asia and Egypt. He thus made possible the rich culture of the Hellenistic Age. No one succeeded Alexander the Great in the rule of his vast empire. His leading generals became governors of various areas and fought among themselves for control of the empire. By 300 B.C., Alexander's empire had split into a number of independent states.

Daniel 11:3,4 And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. 4 And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

Daniel 11:3,4 And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. 4 And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those. The Grecian Empire was established by it's first notable king - Alexander the Great. He died as a young man with no posterity to leave his kingdom to. His empire was divided among his generals into 4 smaller kingdoms which pointed toward the 4 winds. Daniel 11: 3,4 is affirming the same truths as told in Daniel 8:21,22 confirming once again in the scripture of truth recorded in heaven as told to Daniel. Daniel 8:21,22 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. 22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

Daniel 11:5 And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.

Ptolemaic dynasty (south of Palestine - the promised land) Ptolemy I, c.367-283 BC, created the political and military foundations of the Ptolemaic dynasty of Egypt (323-30 BC). When Alexander the Great died in 323 BC, Ptolemy, one of Alexander's leading Macedonian generals, became satrap (governor) of Egypt. In 304 he declared himself king. Ptolemy's foreign policy was shrewdly designed to guarantee Egypt's security and trading advantages. He held Cyrenaica for most of his reign. His domination of Cyprus, Phoenicia, and Palestine was more intermittent, but all three were in his control by the end of the reign.Selucas Nicator - one of Alexander’s great generals who was given dominion over Babylonia was driven out by Antigonus and fled to Egypt. Ptolemy made him one of his princes and with Ptolemy's help recovered his province and enlarged it to include Assyria, Syria, Indus. His dominion became greater than Ptolemy and known in scripture as King of the North

KING OF THE SOUTH

Seleucid dynasty (north of Palestine - the promised land) The Seleucids were a dynasty founded by Seleucus. At his death (281 BC), the Seleucids controlled most of the Asian provinces of the Macedonian empire including most of Anatolia, part of Syria-Phoenicia, Babylonia, Assyria, Media, Parthia, Sogdiana, Bactria, Margiana, Aria, Drangiana, Gedrosia, Carmania, Persis, and Susiana. Daniel 11:14 And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall. Antiochus Epiphanes sought to regain all the land Selucid I had to begin with. His vision was to have one people with one religion. He desecrated the temple of the Jews in Jerusalem and enforced idol worship, robbed the temple and it's people. This led to the famous Macabean era - a time when the Jews revolted against Antiochus. Antiochus failed in his vision and died a natural death after hearing the news of the Macabean revolt. Sad to say that that many Biblical commentaries and scholars apply many of the prophecies about Antichrist to Antiochus which he did not fulfill.

KING OF THE NORTH

Daniel 11:15 So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.

The chosen people are the Jews. At first the Seleucids, allowed the practice of Judaism. But later, one of the kings, Antiochus IV, tried to prohibit it. In 167 B.C., the Jews revolted under the leadership of the Maccabeans and drove the Seleucids out of Palestine. By 140 B.C. the Parthians had conquered all territories east of Syria, and the Jews were independent and called their land kingdom of Judah. After the temporary successes by Antiochus VII (139-129 B.C.), the kingdom disintegrated until it was annexed by Tigranes I of Armenia. Briefly restored by the Roman general Lucius Licinius Lucullus. Palestine including Judah was brought under Roman rule by Pompey the Great and part of the Roman province of Syria (63 B.C.). Pompey the Great (106-46 B.C.) was a Roman general and statesman, the erstwhile ally and son-in-law of Julius Ceasar, but later his arch rival for power.

The chosen (Jews) – their land Judah and Palestine brought under Roman rule by Pompey the Great in 63 B.C.

Daniel 11:16 But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.

Caesar crossed the Rubicon into Italy proper early in 49 B.C. and marched against Rome, precipitating yet another civil war. In a series of battles he defeated Pompey, who fled to the east. The Romans now in control of the glorious land. This would cover the time when Christ was born, lived for 33 years, died and was resurrected. This was the most glorious time in prophetic history even dividing time into B.C. and A.D.

Caesar defeated Pompey for control of Palestine and Judah which would cover the time period when Jesus Christ was born, died for the sins of mankind, and was resurrected. This is why the land was called the glorious land.

Daniel 11:17 He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.

After Christ's death and resurrection, the gospel (good news) of the Kingdom of God was preached throughout the whole Roman Empire. Emperor Constantine the Great was the first emperor to embrace Christianity. 'Upright ones' (verse 17) would be those who are true Christians.

Upright ones – early Christians

Constantine wanted everyone in the Roman Empire to enter the Kingdom of God. He proclaimed Christianity as the official religion of the state. The 'daughter of women' (verse 17) is the prophetical symbol of a religious system like the sun clothed woman in Rev 12 or The Harlot woman of Rev 19, 20.

Daughter of women – The church corrupted by the state (Rome) become a man made organization – an unholy alliance between Church and state

The kind of women tells us what kind of religious system. This 'daughter of women' is birthed by the unholy alliance between the church Jesus founded and the organizational structure given to it by the Roman State. The 'daughter of women' is corrupted because of this unholy alliance with the world. She compromises pagan idolatry and true Christianity and plays a part in the evolution of the 'Mystery Babylon' religion that Rev 17 says has evolved since the tower of Babel. It will grow to its full potential in the reign of Antichrist and then be destroyed by God. Constantine presided over a meeting of over 400 bishops called the Council of Nicea and was proclaimed head of the church (Pope). There is no evidence that he was truly saved by accepting Jesus Christ as his personal saviour . The Roman State church was not content to be equal with the emperor and also not for him to be the sole authority. This 'daughter of women' in her evolution of growth becomes the Jezebel figure spoken of Rev 2:20 on her way to her final evolution in that woman called 'Mystery Babylon' talked of in Rev 17 and her destruction in Rev 18. Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth

herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Rev 17: 1-5,18 1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Daniel 11:18 After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him. 19 Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.

These words are somewhat difficult to follow. Constantine expanded the Roman Empire eastward, made Constantinople its new capitol and thus splitting the Roman Empire into two . The western division fell in 476 A.D. while the eastern division lasted till 1453 A.D.

Daniel 11:20 Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

In Daniel 7, Daniel 8, Daniel 9 the rise of Antichrist in the last days was within the Roman Empire area. In Daniel 7:8 he came up among the 10 horns (nations within the old Roman Empire land area). Daniel 8:23 says of the little horn that he 'shall stand up' in the latter days of the (Roman Empire) kingdom. Daniel 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

Daniel 7 skips over origin and divisionsof Roman Empire land area to time of 10 horns (East and West Europe). Then introduces ‘the little horn’ first as a small nation’ and then the symbol for Antichrist.

In Daniel 11:20 we have the words ‘his estate‘. The previous verses (Daniel 11:18,19) were about the division of the Roman Empire. The 'estate' then is clearly the Roman Empire in the last days. Daniel is told the same words 'shall stand up' as used in Daniel 8:23 and Rev 12:4.


Antichrist – shall stand up in his estate

Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Daniel 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

It is clear then who is the one that stands up? - Antichrist! Daniel 11:20 calls him the ‘raiser of taxes’. This is another identifying mark of Antichrist to look for besides all the others mentioned in the previous chapters. This tells us Antichrist is in control of his empire that he will establish. His estate, kingdom or empire will be larger than the old Roman Empire area and yet the heart of his empire will be the nations within the old Roman Empire area today.

The glory of the kingdom is it's finest days. Antichrist will revive the Roman Empire land area in the last days and make it extremely wealthy and prosperous before the rapture (see timeframe 3). Both Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 cover the rise and reign of Antichrist for a indefinite time before the rapture as well as Rev 12.

in the glory of the kingdom


Few days is a short time. When the angel speaks to John the Revelator in Rev 17:9-10 the angel confirms what Daniel 11:20 said

but within few days he shall be destroyed

Revelations 17:9-10 9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. The 7 heads are 7 kingdoms (7 kings) and five are fallen and one is. Remember, the angel is talking to John during the time of the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire then is the sixth head. Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 told us of 3 empires before the Roman Empire - Babylonian, Persian, and the Grecian. Two

Empires that Bible talks of before the Babylonian are the Egyptian and the Assyrian that connected with the promised land to Abraham just like the other empires mentioned. John is told the 7th head would continue a short space (short time). This is Antichrist's Empire. This is the same empire that Daniel 11 said will last a few days.

neither in anger, nor in battle

Now we are covering the same truths covered in Daniel 7, Daniel 8, Rev 13 where Antichrist dies a mysterious death but comes back to life. Not only then will he be Antichrist but Antichrist incarnated as Satan in the flesh. Antichrist's death and Satanic resurrection is not an act of anger or warfare. Rev 13 talks about the 7 heads of the beast and one of them was wounded unto death and his wound was healed. Rev 13:14 say this wound was by a sword (weapon).


Rev 13:3,4, And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

It could be Antichrist will commit suicide very calmly because of a pact he made with Satan. Satan has given him great power, authority, fame, wealth but in turn Satan needs his body at the time of the rapture when Satan is cast down to earth. Rev12:9 records Satan and his angels being cast down right after the rapture. It is then that Satan enters Antichrist's dead body and brings him back to life. The difference now is - Antichrist is now also Satan in the flesh. Revelations calls Antichrist the beast.

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Rev 12:3 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Daniel 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

In Daniel 11:20, we studied how Antichrist is going to reign for a short time and then dies a mysterious death. Antichrist then comes back to life as a ‘vile person’ because now he is Satan incarnate. This explains next verse Daniel 11:21 - Antichrist's Empire is now taken over by a vile person. This is Daniel's name for Antichrist after the rapture . This is why John was told (Rev 17:10,11) the 7th head would continue a short space (a short time), but the eighth is of the seventh.

This is true because Antichrist's Empire continues with the same man both before and after the rapture. However, through a death and Satanic resurrection right after the rapture Antichrist is now different - he is now also Satan in the flesh. The eighth is a continuation then of the seventh but yet ruled by Satan and Antichrist in one person - the beast.

And in his estate shall stand up a vile person

Rev 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.


The heart of Antichrist's kingdom is the nations of East and West Europe (10 horns of Daniel - see Daniel 7). These nations all have kings but the best these nations can do for Antichrist is to let him be a dictator for them.

whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom


This part of the verse harkens back to the initial rise of Antichrist when he spoke of peace and flatteries (great promises) to obtain rule over these nations. From our study of Daniel 7 and Daniel 8, we saw Antichrist make the necessary wars at his rise to power. Satan and his angels give him the necessary visible air supremacy seeming with an outer space connection. They help Antichrist’s land forces to be successful against the transgressors. Many nations are now on the side of Antichrist because he defeated the transgressors in the name of peace and his great promises of a new age . All this confirms the 'vile person' is no other than Antichrist after the rapture and yet the 'raiser of taxes' before the rapture (Daniel 11:20).

Antichrist the man before the rapture (‘raiser of taxes – Dan 11:20) had used a combination of peace and flatteries to obtain rule over the kingdom and made those necessary star wars against the transgressors and defeated them (broken - vs 22) as we studied in Daniel 8:9) when he came to power and formed his empire.

Daniel 11:22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

Daniel is now told, that this 'vile person' is also the 'prince of the covenant' spoken of in Daniel 9. This is another confirmation that he is Antichrist after the rapture . Daniel 9:27 tells us that Antichrist as the Roman prince makes a 7 year treaty with Israel which ends with Christ's return. This 7 years is known as the 70th week of Daniel and takes place after the church age.

Reading Daniel 9:27 again, the first part of that verse says he (Antichrist) shall confirmwith many for one week (that is - 7 years).

The 'many' of Daniel 9:27 could be other national leaders and dignitaries other than Israel itself. However, notice Daniel 11:23 above says he shall become strong with 'a small people' not necessarily the whole nation of Israel itself. It appears then that Antichrist having approval of the many which could be world leaders (U.N.?) and at the same time be working deceitfully (saying one thing but meaning

Daniel 11:24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

Antichrist enters land of Israel peaceably and allowed even on the the fattest (richest) places of the providence Antichrist, after usurping God's position makes this 7 year treaty to insure the land of Israel is protected. By deceit chooses out for himself the fattest (most richest areas) to take for himself. Remember, after the rapture God in heaven is pouring out the judgments of Revelations upon the Gentile nations (Day of the Lord) and they desperately need what Israel has - oil, gold, silver, cattle and goods.

Ezekiel 38 adds much detail to Daniel 11

God tells Ezekiel that Antichrist in the latter years (end time) will invade Israel. Notice Israel has been brought forth out of the nations (1948 A.D. when Israel became a nation). A long time passed before that in which the mountains of Israel had been wasteland. Notice also the Jews are brought back after the sword and now dwelling safely all of them. These prophecies have not Been fulfilled yet. These events are prophecies connected with the mass return (Ezekiel 35, 36 and 37, the whole book of Obadiah and many other scriptures – see timeframe 2 for a full study). They tell the complete story of Jews worldwide being deported to Egypt and trying to sell themselves as slaves and no one to buy them (Deut.

Ezekiel 38:8,9 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. 9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

28:68). At the same time Israel has been taken over by their worst enemies - the Arabs helped by foreign forces. Their enemies use the sword (weapons) and shed much Jewishblood. This trial for the Jews is known as their 'time or Day of calamity'. At the same time the Ark of the Covenant reappears with tremendous destruction upon the enemies of the Jews at a time when many Jews turn back to Jehovah to obey the laws of Moses. A second exodus (Isaiah 11:11) then takes place out of Egypt with the Ark. God continues to demonstrate his power over the elements like as in the first exodus out of Egypt in the days of their fathers. They will again cross the Jordan and the Red Sea and defeat of many of their enemies like as in the day of Joshua. The Jews now take more land than they had before they lost it. Having the Ark they build their temple and Israel becomes very prosperous and greatly multiplied in silver, gold, cattle and goods, besides the great increase in population as Jews come from all nations. Again, all these events connect with the mass return of Jews and fulfilled before the rapture in timeframe 2.

Looking at the second chart timeframe2 follows the rise and forming of Antichrist’s Empire in timeframe 1. Notice Daniel’s 70th week we are talking about in Daniel 11:22,23 is timeframe 5 after the rapture.

After the the mass return and reappearing of the Ark of the Covenant (timeframe 2), and the rebuilding of the temple for the Ark of the Covenant (timeframe3) all before the rapture (chart above), the Jews having the Ark in their midst and see its return as the pledge of Jehovah's protection. They now

rebuild their cities during timeframe3 without walls, bars or gates and will be dwelling safely. Having also reinstituted the priestly and sacrificial system in the temple, Ezekiel 38:10,11 is now talking about the Jews after the rapture during this time of Antichrist's 7 year treaty (timeframe 5) which is same timeframe as Daniel 11:23,24 we are studying. They are still trusting in God's protection. However, after the rapture and after the great 3 1/2 year Christian tribulation period (timeframe 4), the church age ends (chart above) and God is now dealing with Israel to bring that nation to Christ. God allows Antichrist to make this 7 year treaty with Israel at a

time that they still feel protected by Jehovah. But a lot has changed since the events of the mass return (timeframe 2). In the time between these events before till after the rapture, Satan has infiltrated every avenue of their life. Prosperity, trade, tourism has brought all the glitter and limelight and spiritual darkness of the world into Israel. Rev 11 tells Israel is morally and spiritually bankrupt and Jerusalem has become as Sodom and Gomorrah and Antichrist has killed two witnesses God has sent. Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.


The 'them' are those nations that are the heart of Antichrist's Empire - the 10 toes/horns of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 (nations in West and East Europe). They all get to cash in on what Israel has been blessed with since the mass return took place. Some believe that there is great reserves of oil yet to be tapped in the land of Israel and that after the mass return, God will allow them to dip into it. This could be the great 'spoil' talked of in both Daniel 11:24 and Ezekiel 38:12.

Ezekiel 38:12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited,

Ezek 38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Other nations, Sheba, Dedan, Merchants of Tarshish with all the young lions question the motive of Antichrist and this great army. This group of nations are independent of Antichrist. This would be a fourth group of nations besides nations that make up the 'King of the south' and 'King of the north' and those nations confederate with Antichrist himself. As we study Daniel 11 we see Antichrist fights all these groups. They will oppose his plans of domination and lust for control of the world. Notice the words 'carry away‘ and ‘take

The prey are the cattle and goods the Jews have acquired. Antichrist will also rob them of their riches and valuables. Ezek 38:13 records the reaction of other nations to Antichrist’s actions in Israel.

Antichrist is bullying the nations that oppose him. He forecast his devices against their strongholds for a time. What an interesting word is used here 'his devices'. You must remember that first, before the rapture, Antichrist came to power with Satan and his angels helping him. In the study of Daniel 7 and especially Daniel 8, we saw that Antichrist will march by land while Satan and his angels give him visible star war type air support making themselves out to be some advanced races besides man in this universe. These lying signs and wonders most likely will be along what many believe in already - UFO'S like flying saucers. We will have to await the exact events to say for sure but it will surely be along these lines. But those signs and lying wonders

appeared at the rise of Antichrist when Satan and his angels were still the principalities and powers of the air and outer space before the rapture. Daniel 7, Daniel 8, Rev 12 allmention that after the rapture Satan and his angels are cast down to earth. Antichrist dies this mysterious death and comes back to life due to Satan personally incarnating him. Christ and the saints that were caught up to meet the Lord at the rapture are the new powers of the air. Satan is now incarnated in Antichrist and his angels are all now on earth. They have lost their advantage in the heavens (air and outer space) and are not in a position (because they are now on earth) to do these star war deceptions like they did before the rapture. But! the world is deceived and does not realize how limited Antichrist is. Antichrist, here in Daniel 11:25 is bluffing, and saying to those that now oppose him - remember what I did to those transgressors back when I first came to power and how I destroyed them with those devices. These devices were actually his great signs and lying wonders in heavens (UFO'S or alien or motherships or something along that line) that Satan and his fallen angels used as their base in the heavens when they waged their visible air campaign to establish Antichrist and his empire. Now he is threatening to

use the same star war number on them again but it is now just empty words. Satan after the rapture is now on earth as a man incarnated in Antichrist and is on the same footing as the other nations. He has to resort to brute man power and earthly weapons that are available to him. He will operate in this increasing diminishing role from the time of the rapture to Christ 's visible return in which Antichrist and his armies are defeated (Kingdom).

Daniel 11:25-28 25 And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

Antichrist and his great army faces great opposition from the King of the south. Those would be a group of nations that would come into Palestine from the south. Egypt is not mentioned by name but Egypt is to become very powerful. Many nations in Africa may be confederate with Egypt. This is what Jeremiah saw in Jeremiah 46:7-9.

Antichrist and his armies fight against the king of the south and forecast devices that will be used against king of the south

Jeremiah 46:7-9 7 Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers? 8 Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth;

I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof. 9 Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow. 10 For this is the day of the Lord God of hosts, Notice the time frame (verse 10 - the Day of the Lord; same time frame as Daniel's 70th week. Again, Antichrist is forecasting his devices (Daniel 11:25) against his enemies which he now cannot carry out. However, the threat alone puts panic among these nations that saw (television) or heard (radio, etc) or experienced the wars of Antichrist at is rise before the rapture. This forecasting by Antichrist to use devices puts division among the ranks of the enemy.

Daniel 11:26-27 26 Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.27 And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

Those that feed of the portion of his meat (Antichrist feeds his own to keep them loyal) and his army is successful in battle against the King of the south. Many shall be killed in these wars but a big eventful meeting where they sit down and tell big lies to one another brings a temporary truce that will not hold.

Daniel 11:25 28 Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land. Antichrist returns back to his kingdom with great riches (probably many of the treasures of Egypt). Antichrist is now considering taking over Jerusalem again but he knows that the true God of heaven made that covenant with Abraham. He knows God keeps His covenant to protect Israel from their enemies when Israel is faithful. This truth weighs on Antichrist very much because he is determined to have the promised land for himself. Antichrist does not forget the tremendous victories and display of the power of God over Israel's enemies when He led them a second time out of Egypt in the mass return when the Ark of the Covenant reappeared and was in their midst (timeframe 2)

Daniel 11:29,30 29 At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter. 30 For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant. Antichrist is ready to do battle against the King of the south again but the ships of Chittim come against him and he is grieved. Who these Chittims are remains to be seen but they slow Antichrist down and he heads back to his own dominion. There he broods over the holy covenant God made with Abraham and has intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant. Intelligence applied here is to the defectors of Israel giving intelligent information on how Antichrist can accomplish the takeover of Israel. These would be the 'small people' first mentioned in Daniel 11:23). This sharing of intelligence seems to result in Israel now be successfully surrounded by Antichrist's armies as told in Daniel 11:31 ‘And arms shall stand on his part’.

Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Arms would mean tanks, army vehicles, soldiers under Antichrist standing, acting as a protector of Israel's borders as spelled out in the holy covenant, but in reality has Israel and Jerusalem surrounded. The words 'stand on his part' - that is - no one can enter or leave unless they pass through his lines of defense. After successfully securing the borders he marches into Jerusalem and pollutes the sanctuary of strength (rebuilt temple that houses the Ark of the Covenant). He stops the priestly and sacrificial system, and places the abomination that maketh desolate - an idol of himself to be worshipped as God fulfilling Daniel 8:11,12, Daniel 9:27, 2 Thess 2:4.

Daniel 8:11,12 11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by

Daniel 11:32 32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Those that conspire to be wicked with Antichrist against God's holy covenant ( Covenant God made with Israel through Abraham concerning the land of Israel - Gen 15:18) shall be corrupted because they believed the lies of Antichrist.

Antichrist will flatter those under him with position, power, and wealth and new age deception they can evolve to gods with him in his new world order when he establishes his throne in Jerusalem to rule the world. In contrast, those that serve the true God will be strong and do exploits. Those that know and serve the true and living God will be strong because God's Spirit will be upon them and knowing that shortly Christ will return and establish His everlasting Kingdom on earth.

Many will live to see the visible return of Christ as these verses of Daniel cover the last 7 years (Daniel's 70th week) before Christ returns. The exploits they do will be witnessing, helping the wounded and dying, praying for healing and deliverance. During this 7 year treaty Antichrist makes with Israel (chart above - Daniel's 70th week ) many other events are taking place. 144,000 Jewish Christians that got saved during the 3 1/2 Chrstian tribulation in Israel (timeframe 4) are the first fruits of Israel to be saved and are waiting for visible return of Christ on Mount Zion - the final goal of Antichrist's conquests but where he will be defeated. During the wars of Antichrist with the King of the south and other nations, God from heaven has been executing the trumpet/vial judgments from heaven on earth as a result of the 7th seal being opened.

John hears sound like a trumpet, voice of an Archangel, and is immediately caught up to God’s throne. John represents the believers who go up in the rapture.

These judgments affect the sun, moon, stars ,trees, land, oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, animals, people from all nations especially Antichrist's Empire . Their will be intense heat on the earth with no rain; the polar caps melting causing the earth to be reeling to and fro (Isaiah 24:20-23) - resulting in great earthquakes such as never was. Isaiah also says at that time God will punish the host and high ones (Satan and his angels) and the kings of the earth (nations). When Christ returns Satan and his angels are cast into prison.

Isaiah 24:20-23 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. 23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Job 38:22,23 talks of the polar caps as being used in the day of the Lord

The day of the Lord (time frame 5) is that time of trouble of battle and war Job speaks about. During this time great heat will be applied to the earth and the great ice caps will melt with fervent heat. This great heat is burning up the sinful works of men and yet this judgment restores the water canopy of Genesis 1:6,7 and makes the earth upright again resulting in much more even climate over the whole earth.

Job 38:22,23 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, 23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

Psalm 148:4-8 is an amazing psalm confirming all this

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

This psalm talks of the activity of nature during the day of the Lord (time frame 5) involving fire, and hail; snow, and vapours (ice melting and evaporating because of the great heat in the day of the Lord). This evaporation restores the water canopy which is not here now but verse 4 says will be created and established forever. If it existed in the past (Genesis 1:6,7) and is not here now then it must be created in the future. It will be as a result of judgments of the Day of the Lord which ends with Christ's visible return to begin the Millennium (Kingdom).

Psalm 148:4-8 4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. 7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

Daniel 11:33-35 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. 34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. 35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

Their will be many that have understanding of what is going on and are waiting for the Lord's visible return. There are Christians that got saved and endured the great Christian tribulation (timeframe4) which lasted 3 1/2 years without being killed. They then were sealed by God for protection during the Day of the Lord (timeframe 5). They are the ones teaching and instructing many about what is going on. Besides them, there will be many others that have understanding and are instructing others that this is the terrible Day of the Lord that will last 7 years before Christ returns. Yet, many of these instructors and teachers will die

in the process due to wars, fires, and being taken captive. Their will be those who will voluntary give their life to make others white - that is - to see them saved.

Daniel 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Antichrist a king

We were told earlier in Daniel 11:21 Antichrist will not be given the honor of a king but obtains it by flatteries. Antichrist is addressed as both a prince and kings over Tyre the greatest seaport city of the last days built up in timeframe 3. Ezekiel 25 speaks of Antichrist the prince of Tyre and adresses him as a man but Antichrist as the king of Tyre as if he were Satan. As we discussed earlier, Antichrist after the rapture is both Antichrist the man and Satan incarnate.

Ezekiel 28:1-3 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: 3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: Antichrist has magnified himself in his heart as a god. Sits in the seat of God to show that he is God. (Compare 2 Thess 2:4)

Antichrist the man (prince of Tyrus (Tyre))

2 Thess 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Only what is said in these verses could apply to Satan. Satan has incarnated Antichrist and God is speaking to Satan

Antichrist is Satan (king of Tyrus (Tyre))

dwelling in the body of Antichrist. Satan is the King ruling the prince of Tyre - the man Antichrist.

Antichrist shall do according to his will

The king is going to do according to his will. This has always been Satan's problem. Jesus was just the opposite always seeking to do His Father's will. Isaiah 14:12-14 list the 5 'I wills' of Satan. Remember, Antichrist after the rapture is now also Satan incarnated which Isaiah (vs 16) had prophesized - that is - one day Satan will become a man.

Isaiah 14:12-1712 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Daniel 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Antichrist after the rapture as Satan in the flesh exalts himself above every god and speaking marvelous things against the God of gods. By speaking out against the God of gods he is unwittingly acknowledging God. What these marvelous things are that he says we are not told. We know from Rev 13:6-7 that he blasphemes God in heaven and those that dwell in them. This is because the saints are the new powers of the air with Christ and now have taking over the heavenly territory Satan and his angels had before they were cast down at the rapture. There will be women that will throw themselves at the feet of Antichrist because of his popularity and uniqueness. Yet, Antichrist will have no time for them for he is to busy magnifying himself above all. Antichrist as Satan in the flesh does not regard the God of his fathers. Antichrist came from the old Roman Empire land area (Daniel 7:8, Daniel 8:9, Daniel 9) where the gospel was first preached throughout by Paul the Apostle. Antichrist has

them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them:

Daniel 11:37-39 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

The world does not know that Satan has been cast down to earth after the rapture . At the same time Antichrist has died a mysterious death for a sinister purpose and Satan resurrects him by incarnation. Satan in Antichrist wants the worship of all people to change from worshipping him above to now worshipping him on earth because that is where he now is. Satan incarnate in the resurrected Antichrist will now promote himself as God in all his military strongholds that he has established or taking over. Antichrist both before and after the rapture will also will honor a universal 'God of forces' seeking to replace the 'person' of the Holy Spirit with his own doctrine. These forces most likely will be divided into good and evil and make up a universal consciousness that

Daniel 11:40-44 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. 41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. 44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. We are approaching the end of Antichrist's reign. The king of the south confederacy of nations is pushing one direction and the king of the north (nations possibly confederate with Russia) who Antichrist severely limited earlier before the rapture now attacking from another direction. King of the north confederacy will attack with many horsemen (soldiers), like a whirlwind (great speed) and by ship. Antichrist will enter the countries that make up the king of the north and overflow (signifying Antichrist's armies as very large and overwhelming). Then he will pass over (meaning he will not stop) but continues on toward Israel. Israel is called the glorious land because the Ark of the Covenant has been there on Mount Zion since the mass return and now Christ is soon to return and defeat Antichrist in the valley of Megiddo in the battle call Armageddon.

Edom, Moab and Ammon are not directly in the path of Antichrist's advancing armies. The Kings of the south and north have entered Palestine from the south and north. Antichrist's armies are marching through countries in the line of fire. Egypt is attacked and robbed of great possessions of gold, silver and precious things. Libya and Ethiopia are right there to be defeated next but according to Ezekiel 38 they decide to be confederate with Antichrist.

Ezekiel 38:1-23 1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

Daniel 11:44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. We are closing in on that last famous battle called Armageddon fought on the plain of Megiddo in Jerusalem. The kings of the east - another group of nations that are confederate with each other come into Palestine from the east (Korea? China? Japan? etc.) and are on the march. Ezekiel 38 talks of a fourth group. This fourth group seems to be the U.S., Great Britain and other English speaking countries (Canada and Australia). Rev 16:12-1612 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

16:12-16 tells us that the Euphrates river will be dried up to make a way for the kings of the east to enter Palestine

Daniel 11:45 45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. God's holy mountain in Israel is Mount Zion. Antichrist will plant his royal tents (his palace in the fields) between the seas (Mediterranean and Dead sea) that are either side of mount Zion. Yet, we are told he will come to his end and no one will be able to help him. Antichrist will be defeated not by man but by God himself. The visible return of Christ and the saints with him will establish the long awaited visible kingdom of God on earth (Rev 19:11-21).
