The prelims took place on Thursday at Manav Rachna International University where eight col- leges auditioned. The stu- dents had to sing the ‘Delhi Daredevil’ theme along with a song of their choice. Bands such as Aayudh from NIIT, Then and Now from Amity University and Arkadian Polaris from Manav Rachna University rocked the stage with a great range of rock-based renditions. The grand finale will be held in Motilal Nehru College on Feb 15-16. JESSICA SHARMA What do you think of Indian rock bands? Q VOX -POP The standard of music in India has become better. Rock music is getting bigger. There is new talent and we need more platforms. Tarique Khan, Amity University I like the bands in India. We have the capability to make it bigger than the bands abroad and bring back rock. Competiton is also getting tougher.
