Goals of the History Curriculum

• Rise the interest• Understand main terminology of history• Acquire chronological framework• Know the map• Understand the connections between present and past• See the connections between different historical events• Understand that one event can be interpreted differently• Develop skills needed for justifying personal opinion• Put learners in the position of people lived in the past• Defines itself as a member of Europe

• Increase students' social awareness• Create a positive attitude towards learning• Create a positive attitude towards an

European identity• Develop decision-making and strategic

planning skills

Scenario of the Game

• The present time in the game is different from the reality e.g. less countries in in the Europe

• Some important events have not taking place e.g. Germany didn’t lost the war

• Player has to go back in time and fix the history– to influence important historical actors– to ensure that historical events will take place

• At the same time they hiddenly learn important issues from that period.

Important issues

• No violence e.g. focusing on cryptography and code breaking instead of battles and killing

• Gender issues e.g. focusing on cooperation instead of competition
