Middle School band directors in Florida (N = 187) were surveyed and asked to rank 27 skills/concepts for the frequency of their inclusion (on average) in beginning band instruction. Items were ranked either DAILY (5) WEEKLY (4) MONTHLY (3)
A FEW TIMES DURING THE YEAR (2) or NEVER (1). The nine items that were ranked above 4.5 (daily inclusion) were:
