RULESOFOPERATIONTheseRulesareintendedtosetoutthecurrentoperatingrulesoftheStreetsvilleTigersHockeyClub(the“Club”),whichwillbeapplicabletotheTeamsandtheplayersduringthisperiod.Whiletheyareintendedtobecomprehensive, theRulesandPoliciesarenotexhaustiveand theClub reserves the right, in itsdiscretion,tomakesuchchangesandadditionsfromtimetotime,asitdeemsappropriate.Noticeofanychangesand/oradditionswillbegiventoTeamOfficialsand,whenappropriatetoparents/guardiansonatimelybasis.SECTION1: TEAMSREGISTERED

1.1 UnlessotherwisedeterminedbytheClubortheGTHL,theClubwillregisterandoperate9 teams.Nineteamsinthe“AA”divisionoftheGTHL,comprisingthefollowing:MinorAtom, Atom,MinorPeeWee,PeeWee,MinorBantam,Bantam,MinorMidget,MidgetJr.andMidget.

1.2 A10thteammaybeconsideredattheUnder21agegroupintheGTHL,formerlyknownas Juvenile.(NotCurrentlybeingoperatedbytheClub)

SECTION2: REGISTRATIONFEESNoplayerwillbepermittedtotakepartinanyregularlyscheduledleaguegameuntilallmoniesduearepaidtotheClub.2.1 PlayerRegistrationCertificates2.1.1 Each player must properly complete a GTHL/HC players’ certificate accompanied by the

registrationfee,asdeterminedbytheClubpriortoplayingforanyTigerteam.

2.1.2 Players joining a team after the start of the regular season are required to pay a pro-ratedregistrationfeeinfullatthetimeofsigning.TheRegistrationfeeistobedeterminedbytheClubatthetimeofsigning.

2.1.3 Theaforementionedparagraphmaybewaived,indistresssituations,atthediscretionoftheClub.2.1.4 Playerregistrationfeesaretobemadepayableinthefollowingmanner:incash,debit,cheque

madepayabletotheStreetsvilleTigersHockeyCluborCreditCard(Visa,MasterCard,Amex) Thepaymentmaybemadeinthefollowingmanner:

• Thefullamount,or• Fivechequesthefirstisfor$500.00andthenfourpostdatedchequesforthefollowingdates:

• 1stpayment:April,withsigningoftheGTHL/HCplayercertificateis$500.00• 2ndpaymentdueMay15th,3rdpaymentdueJune15th,4thpaymentdueJuly15thand5th

paymentdueAugust15th.2.1.5 Failuretopaytheregistrationfeesinfullpriortothestartoftheregularseason,(unlessspecial

arrangements have beenmade) will result in the suspension of the player in question. Thissuspensionwill include all exhibition, tournament and scheduled league games, aswell as allpractices.

2.1.6 Multiplayerfamilydiscountis10%.

2.2 Subsidies(a) SubsidyrequestTheClubmayconsiderwrittenrequeststosubsidizealloraportionofaplayer’sregistration

fee.Suchsubsidy,ifany,willrequirecompellingcircumstancesandacleardemonstrationofneedandwillonlybegrantedtoindividualswhoexemplifythestandardsandvaluesoftheClub.TheClubwillrequiretheTeaminquestiontomatchanysubsidy.

(b) Repaymentofsubsidy Ifasubsidizedplayerwishestoobtainareleasepriortotheendofaseason,theClubmay,as

aconditionofgrantingsucharelease,demandandobtainarepaymentofthesubsidy.SECTION3: THECLUB3.1 TheClub’slegalstatus The Streetsville Tigers Hockey Club (the “Club”) was incorporated as a non-share capital

corporationbyLettersPatent issuedbytheProvinceofOntarioonApril1,1996andoperatesundertheserulesofoperation,theClubConstitutionandrulesoftheGreaterTorontoHockeyLeague(the“GTHL”)

3.2 ClubDirectorsandOfficers ABoardofDirectorsgovernstheClub.SomeoftheDirectorsalsoactasOfficers.TheDirectors

areelectedorappointedannualattheGeneralMeetingofthemembers.Thepositionsarelistedinsub-section

ClubDirectorsareprimarilyresponsibleforthereviewingthegeneralperformanceoftheClub

anditsTeamsfromtimetotime.Thisincludesreviewingandapproving:• TheClub’sbudget• SignificantCluboperatingpolicesand• TheClubsOfficials’performanceoftheirdutiesandresponsibilities.

Club Directors have no direct responsibility for liaising or interactingwith TeamOfficials andparents/guardiansanddonotdealdirectlywithTeamaffairs.The President and the General Manager are responsible for administering the day-to-dayoperationsoftheClubandits’TeamsandallothermattersinanywayrelatingtotheGTHL,itsmembers,andotherhockeyorganizationsandgoverningbodies.UndernocircumstanceswilltheClubberesponsibleforanyobligations,financialorotherwise,incurredbyaTeam,unlesssuchobligationisapprovedinwritingandcontainedinadocumentsignedbythePresidentandtheGeneralManager.

3.3 ExecutiveCommittee President(Officer) GeneralManager EquipmentManager Treasurer(Officer) Vice-President Secretary(Officer) AssistantGeneralManager

3.4 TheClub’sresponsibilities SubjecttotheoverridingauthorityoftheGTHL,theClubhasexclusivecontroloveritsTeamsandplayersregisteredwiththeorganizationforallperiodssanctionedormandatedbytheGTHL.Inaddition to the foregoingand to theother rights reservedbelow, theClub shallhaveprimaryresponsibilityforthefollowing:

(a) TeamOfficials.TheClubappointsand,ifnecessary,replacestheHeadCoachofeachTeam

and approves the selection of other TeamOfficials. The Clubmonitors and evaluates theperformanceofallTeamOfficials.

(b) GTHLRegistration.TheClubregistersitsplayersandTeamOfficialswiththeGTHL.

(c) TeamPrograms.TheClubdevelopsprogramsofgeneralapplicationforitsTeams.

(d) Tournaments. The Club approves and processes tournament applications. If a conflict inscheduling between teams arises, the final determination as to the application to beprocessedwillbemadebytheClubinitsabsolutediscretion.

(e) Practice Ice. The Club provides each team with a practice ice each week on a regularlyscheduledbasis.AnyadditionalpracticeicerequiredistobearrangedbytheTeamatitsowncost.

(f) Equipment, Gear, Clothing and Merchandise. The Club provides each team with Clubmandated equipment, gear, clothing and merchandise including game sweaters, practicejerseys,socksandequipmentbags.

(g) DisciplinaryHearings.TheClub’sofficialsaccompanytheTeamOfficialsandplayer(s)toanydisciplinary hearings mandated by the GTHL. The Club reserves the right to exclude anyperson(s)fromadisciplinaryhearing,asitconsidersappropriateinitsabsolutediscretion.

(h) Clubnameandlogo.TheuseoftheTigerLogoistheexclusivepropertyoftheClub.Itmaynotbealteredorreproducedinanymannerorforanypurpose,andmayonlybeusedwiththeexpressedwrittenconsentoftheTigersClub.

(i) GTHLpassesprovided.Nolongerrequired

3.5 Fund-raising(a) General

TheClub’sPresidentwillreviewallproposedTeamfundraisingplanstoensurecompliancewithallClub,federal,provincialandmunicipallaws,by-lawsandregulations.IftheproposedfundraisermeetstheserequirementsHewillthensupplytheteamwithwrittenapprovalforthefundraisingplan. • Team applications for approval of a proposed team fund-raising activity must be

submittedontheProposedTeamFundraisingEventFormatleastsixweeksinadvanceofthedateoftheevent.ThisformcanbefoundontheTigersWebSite.

• Teamfundraisingactivitieswillnotbeapproved:• DuringanyClubevents.• IfitcompeteswithanotherTigerteam,SHL,orVicJohnstonfunctionoractivity.• IfitviolatesanyMunicipal,ProvincialofFederalLaws.

(b) Club(NoClubFundraisingin2017-2018)• TheClubcurrentlyhasnofundraisingplannedforthisseason.• Eachplayerwillbechargedanofundraisingfeewhichisincludedintheplayer

registrationfee.

3.6 WhocanmakedecisionsonbehalfoftheClubUnlessspecificallysetoutintheserules,nodecision,authorizationorapprovalgrantedbyaClubOfficialswillbebindingontheClub,unlessitisinwritingandsignedbythePresidentandGeneralManager.

3.7 CommunicationwithClubOfficials

Communicationisanimportantfactorintheoperationofasuccessfulorganization.Inanefforttoheadoffanymisunderstandingormisinformationthefollowingprocedureisineffect;

All issues and communication relating to the ordinary course of Clubmanagement should bedirected to theGeneralManager,unlessurgencyor circumstances requires thatanotherClubOfficialiscontacted.

(a) General

• TheGeneralManagerprior tobeingdistributedmust firstapproveall correspondencedealingwithinternalteamoperationsandphilosophies.

• AllinternalandexternalcorrespondencemustbecopiedtotheGeneralManager.

• TeammanagersaretheconduitbetweentheClub,andtheteamparents.

• Teamparentsarenottoapproachthecoachingstaffwithnegativecommentspriortoorimmediately following a game. A 24-hour cooling off period is to be observed beforespeakingtothecoachingstaff.

• AnymembersoftheClubExecutiveCommitteewhohavechildrenplayingonateamareto taketheirconcerns to theGeneralManagerbeforeapproachingtheteamcoachingstaff.

(b) CommunicationbetweentheClubandTeamOfficials Unlessotherwisedictatedbycircumstancesorurgency,allrequests,theTeam’sHeadCoach

orTeamManagershallcommunicatetoornoticesormattersrequiringinteractionbetweentheClubandaTeam.

(c) Communicationbetweenparents/guardiansandtheClub TheClubGeneralManagerandPresidentcanbecontactedbyphoneoremail.

SECTION4: THETEAMS4.1 TeamOfficials EachteamshouldhaveaCoachingstaffconsistingof;

Each TeamOfficialmust be a person of good character and reputation and possess suchcredentials and qualifications as set out by the Club in the job descriptions andResponsibilities:SeeResponsibilitiesoftheTeamOfficials’(SeePolicy#00-04)

4.2 Teammeetings TheHeadCoachwillmeetwithparents/guardiansatleast3timeseachseason.Thefirstmeeting

should be held prior to the commencement of the season and the othermeetings should bearrangedwheneverpracticaltocoincidewithdeliveryoftheteam’sfinancialsummariesreferredtoinsection5.4.ThepurposeofthemeetingswillbetoreviewthemattersofinterestrelatingtotheTeam,includingitsfinancialaffairs.

4.4 SupplementaryTeamrules TheTeammayadoptrulesinadditiontoorinfurtheranceofmatterscontainedherein.Nosuch

rulesshallbeeffectiveunlessapprovedbytheClubandacopyprovidedtoeachTeamplayerandoneoftheirrespectiveparentsorguardians.Onceeffective,anysuchrulesshallhavetheeffectasifembodiedintheseRulesofOperation.

AcopyoftheTeamrulesshallbegiventotheClubPresidentforinclusionintheClub’sfiles

4.5 AdditionalIceTime&DamagetoFacilities4.5.1 Additional ice time arranged by a team will be the responsibility of the Head Coach of that

particularteam.

4.5.2 UndernocircumstanceswilltheClubberesponsibleforanypaymentoficetimeotherthantheicetimetheCorporationhascontracted.

4.5.3 Anyteamfoundtoberesponsiblefordamagetoanyarenaorotherfacilitywillberequiredtocoverallcostsassociatedwiththeincident.Thecoachandanyplayerfoundtoberesponsibleforcausing the damage will be dealt with by the Club or its discipline committee and will facesuspensioninadditiontoanyothersanctionsapplied.

PleasenotethatCityrinksandtheStreetsvilleArena/VicJohnstonCommunityCentrehavebeenmadeawareofthispolicy.

SECTION5: CLUBANDTEAMFINANCES5.1 DisclosureofPayments5.1.1 PaymentstobemadetoCluborTeamOfficials

TheClubshallprovidetoaplayeroratleastoneoftheplayer’sparentsorhislegalguardian,priorto or at the time he signs a Registration Certificate, a statement disclosing the followinginformation regarding payments to bemade to ClubOfficials or TeamOfficials, or to relatedpersons:(a) PaymentstoClubOfficials,ortheirRelatedPersons

Awrittenstatementofthetotalamount,ifany,tobepaidbytheClubtoClubOfficialsortheirrelatedpersons,whetherbywayofsalaries,honorariumorotherwise;thenumberofpeopletowhomtheamountistobepaid:andabriefsummaryoftheactivitiesandcontributionsinreturnforwhichsuchpaymentismade.SuchdisclosuremaybemadeintheClubpoliciesorseparately.Iftheamountcannotbedeterminedforthecomingseason,theclubshalldisclosetheamountfrompreviousseasonsandthepolicybywhichsuchamountisdeterminedforthepurposeofthisdisclosure,neitherregularpaymentstoRelatedPersonsforofficework,refereeing,timekeepingorsimilarfunctionsthatarepaidatratespaidtoothernon-relatedpersonsprovidingsimilarservices,norreimbursementtoClubOfficials,orRelatedPersons,of legitimate out-of-pocket expenses pursuant to stated Club policy, need be taken intoaccount.

OnaTeambyTeambasis,awrittenstatementofthetotalamount,ifany,tobepaidbythecluborteamwhetherbywayofsalaries,honorariumorotherwise;thenumberofpeopletowhomthatamountistobepaid:andabriefsummaryoftheactivitiesandcontributionsinreturnforwhichsuchpaymentismade.SuchdisclosuremaybemadeinClubPolicies,TeamPolicies,ifany,orseparately.Forthepurposeofthisdisclosure,neitherregularpaymentstoRelatedPersonsforofficework,refereeing,timekeepingorsimilarfunctionsthatarepaidatratespaidtoothernon-relatedpersonsprovidingsimilarservices,norreimbursementtoClubOfficials,orRelatedPersons,of legitimateout-of-pocketexpensespursuant tostatedClubpolicy,needbetakenintoaccount.If a TeamOfficial, or aRelatedPerson, is going to receive a salary, honorariumor similarpaymentfromanyparents(s)oftheTeam,oranyRelatedPerson,otherwisethatthroughtheCluborTeambudget,thensuchTeamOfficial(s)shalldisclosethefactofsuchpaymentsandthenamesoftheperson(s)makingsuchpayments.

5.1.2 DisclosureofInvolvementofCluband/orTeamOfficials

TheClubshallprovidetoaplayerandatleastoneoftheplayer’sparentsorhislegalguardian,prior toorat thetimehesignsaRegistrationCertificate,astatement inwritingdisclosingtheinvolvementofanyClubOfficialorTeamOfficialwithsupplierswhoprovidegoodsorservicestotheClubthataremadepartofthegoodsorservicesprovidedbytheClubtoplayersorTeams.Thetypesofinvolvementtobedisclosed,withoutlimitingthegeneralityoftheforegoing,includeemployment,shareholding,orownership interestsofanykind,withsuppliersofequipmentorapparel purchased by the Club for delivery to Teams or its players, and employment orshareholding,orownershipinterestsofanykind,withsuppliersoficeorhockeyskillsprogramstotheClub,anyTeamoritsplayers.IfasupplierofgoodsorservicesischosenpursuanttoanopenandcompetitivebidprocesssetoutintheClub’sPolicies,thedisclosureunderthisRuleisnotmandatory.”

5.2 TeamBankAccounts

(a)EachTigerteammustestablishabankaccountundertheteamnameStreetsvilleTigers,yearofbirthoftheplayers.e.g.StreetsvilleTigers1986.

(b) Whentheseaccountsaresetupacopyofthemonthlybankstatementsaretobee-mailedtothePresidentordroppedoffattherinkintheincomingTigermailbox.

(c) Each team accountmust have at least three signing officers. Two signing officermust beindependentteamparentswhoarenotrelatedtoanyoftheTeamOfficials.

(d) AllchequesandwithdrawalsfromtheTeambankaccountshallrequirethesignatureofeithertheTeamOfficialtogetherwithoneoftheindependentteamparents.

(e) TheteammanagermustsubmitacompletedTIGERTEAMSBANKACCOUNTINFORMATIONFORMtothePresidentpriortoSeptember15th,ofeachseason.(TheformcanbeobtainedfromtheTigersWebSite)

5.3 Teamreceiptsandexpenditures

AllrevenuesofwhatevernatureorkindbelongingtotheTeamincludingteamfees,sponsorshipcontributions,andproceedsderivedfromfundraisingactivitiesshallbedepositedintotheTeam’sbankaccountwithoutpriordeductionimmediatelyonreceipt.

5.3.1 Allexpensesanddisbursementsowingor incurredbytheTeamshallbemadeonlybycheque

drawnontheteambankaccountinaccordancewiththeseRules. 5.4 TeamBudgets

(a)HeadCoachtosubmitPreliminaryTeamBudget EachteammustsubmitforapprovalapreliminaryteambudgettothePresidentfourweeks

priortothestartoftheAAtry-outsofeachseason.TheClubwillkeepteambudgetsonfile.

ThePreliminaryTeamBudgetmustbepreparedinaccordancewithandincludethefollowinginformation:• ProposedTeamrevenuesincludingsources• ProposedTeamexpenses• Reasonablydetailedexplanatorynotesforeachbudgetitem

Allhavingregardtotheinformationavailableatthetimeofsubmittal.PreliminaryEstimatedTeamBudgetsmustbeapprovedbytheClubpriortoitbeingsubmittedtoparentsatsigning.

(b)ClubwillprovidethePreliminaryEstimatedTeamBudgettoparents/guardians TheapprovedPreliminaryEstimatedTeamBudgetwillbeprovidedtoaparent/guardianof

eachproposedplayerpriortothecardsigning.

Theparent/guardianmustacknowledgeinwritingthatheorshehasreceivedacopyofthePreliminaryEstimatedTeamBudgetbysigninganAcknowledgementofReceipttotheClubconcurrentlywithdeliveryoftheregistrationcardforsuchplayer.

(c) ChangestothePreliminaryEstimatedTeamBudget NomaterialchangestothePreliminaryEstimatedTeamBudgetshallbepermittedwithout

thepriorapprovaloftheClub.

(f) FinalTeamBudgettobesubmittedtoClubandparents/guardiansforapproval TheHeadCoachwillsubmittheFinalTeamBudgettotheClubandparents/guardiansofeach

playerpriortothecommencementoftheGTHLregularseason.TheFinalTeamBudgetmustbepreparedinaccordancewithandincludingtherequirementsassetoutinsection5.3(a)andmustcontainnomaterialchangesfromthePreliminaryEstimatedTeamBudgetunlessapprovalisfirstobtainedfromtheClubandtheteamparents/guardians.Changes,ifany,shallbehighlightedandappropriateexplanationsshallbeprovided.

• AllMoniesassociatedwitheachTeamwillbedispersedsolelyforthoseplayersandthatteam, with the Clubs ethics of equitable team’s best interest in mind, and with theparents’knowledgeandconsent.

• Noteamofficialshallreceiveanyremunerationorprofitdirectlyorindirectlyfromtheirpositionontheteam.However;nothingprohibitsateamofficialfrombeingreimbursedforreasonableexpensesincurredbythemintheperformanceoftheirduties.

• AnyfundsraisedbyteamparentsremainingattheendoftheseasonshallbereturnedtotheteamparentsandorplayersinanequitablewayasagreedbetweentheTeamOfficialsandparents.

• Theparentsmustbemadeawareof thedispositionof theend-of-season surplusandapproveofthedistribution.Itmaybethatparentsofreturningplayerswillpermittheirshareofthesurplusfundstobecarriedforwardtothenewseason.Providedtheparentsinvolvedagree,theClubhasnoobjection.

Note:Itmaybeappropriatetoreturnsurplus fundsat theendof theseasontoparents involved. Incertaincircumstances, it may be appropriate to return certain corporate contributions to the donor. Mostimportantly,theteamofficialandparents/guardiansshoulddeterminewhetheritisappropriatetoreturncertain corporate contributions as well as the equitablemethod of distributing any surplus funds toparents.5.5 TeamFinances5.5.1 Each Team will provide a monthly up-to-date financial statement to the Club through the

President.5.5.2 Thesefinancialstatementsmustclearlyshowtheteam’sexpensesandincome.5.5.3 TheClubwillretainacopyofthesefinancialstatementsonfile.5.5.4 TheTeammustprovideeachparent/guardianwithacopyoftheteam’sfinancialstatementsat

leastfourtimesperseason:September15,November15,January15,andfourweeksafterthelastgame.

5.6 DisputesoverTeamfinances

Anycomplaintbyaparent/guardianarisingoutofaTeambudgetorfinancialsummarymustbereferredtotheClubforresolutioninaccordancewiththeproceduresetoutinSection6oftheseRules.ThedecisionoftheClubwillbebindingonallparties.

SECTION6: DISPUTERESOLUTION,PROTESTS,APPEALSANDDISCIPLINE6.1 Disputeresolution The followingprocedureshallapply in theevent theClub is requestedto resolveadisputeor

complaintarisingbetweentheparent/guardianofaplayerandTeam:6.1.1 Therequestforsuchresolutionshallbeinwritingandshallsetouttheissue(s)andargumentsin

reasonabledetail.6.1.2 AcopyofsuchrequestshallbegiventotheTeamandtheTeamshallhave7daystodeliverits

writtenresponsetotheparent/guardianandtheClub,settingoutitspositioninreasonabledetail.TheClubmayextendthetimeforsuchresponseifitbelieves,actingreasonably,thatadditionaltimeisneeded.

6.1.3 The Club shall cause ameeting to be held of all interested parties as soon as practical after

receivingtheTeam’sresponse.6.1.4 Thepartiesshallattendsuchmeetinginpersonwithoutlegalcounselorotherrepresentation.6.1.5 TheClubshallissueastatementinwritingsettingoutitsdecision,includingthereason(s)relied

uponinreachingitsdecision,within10businessdaysfollowingsuchmeeting.Thedecisionshallbebindinguponallinterestedparties.

6.2 ProtestsandAppeals6.2.1 AteamwishingtoprotestagamesituationmustmakeapplicationtotheGeneralManagerwithin

24hoursofthegameusingthefollowingprocedure:

1) Theprotestistobemadeinwriting,togetherwithasummaryofanyevidencetobesubmitted2) Alistofanywitnessestobecalled.3) Thisprotestshallbepreparedintriplicate.4) AchequemadeouttotheG.T.H.L.for$50.00mustaccompanytheprotest5) TheprotestpaperworkalongwiththechequemustbesubmittedtotheGeneralManager.

6.2.2 TheGeneralManagerwillhavethefinaldecisiononwhetherornottheprotestwillgoforwardtotheGTHL.

6.2.3 Anyplayerorteamofficialwhofeelsaggrievedwithregardstohisorherstatuswiththeclubmay

appealhisorhersituationtotheClubordesignatedSpecialCommittee.Anon-refundableappealfeeof$100.00mustaccompanysuchapplication.

6.2.4 Any player or team official who wants to appeal a decision of the General Manager or the

DisciplineCommitteemustdosowithin48hoursfollowingthisprocedure:1) Theappealmustbemadeinwriting,indicatingthereasonfortheappeal,withasummaryof

anyevidencetobesubmitted.2) Alistofanywitnessestobecalled.3) AcertifiedchequeormoneyordermadeouttotheStreetsvilleTigersHockeyClubandthe

prescribedfeemustaccompanytheappeal.

NoappealswillbeheardforanysuspensiongivenundertheO.H.F.minimumsuspensionlistoranyClubsuspensionissuedbytheGeneralManagerortheDisciplineCommitteeofasuspensionofsevengamesorless.6.3 DisciplineandDisciplineCommittee

All matters relating to discipline or any matter dealing with an alleged contravention of theConstitution,RulesofOperationorPolicieswillbereferredtotheGeneralManager,exceptanyallegationofAbuse&HarassmentmustbereferredtotheHarassment&AbuseCo-ordinator.

The General Manager will handle all minor issues and/or refer them to the Club DisciplineCommitteeathisdiscretion.

6.4 DisciplineCommittee6.4.1 TheClubshallappointaDisciplineCommitteeconsistingofatleastthree(3)members, one of

whomshallbetheChair,andonewhoshallactasrecordingsecretary.6.4.2 Thiscommitteeshallhearallprotestsandchargesbroughtagainstanyregisteredplayer,Team

Official,teamoranymemberoftheClubforallegedviolationoftheClub’sBy-Lawsand/orRulesofOperationandPolicies.

6.4.3 TheonlyexceptionwillbeanyallegationconcerningAbuseand/orHarassment,whichmustbe

handledbytheClubHarassmentandAbuseFactFindingCommitteeortheOHFFactFinder.6.4.4 The Discipline Committee shall be empowered to impose any such penalties, as it deems

appropriatefollowingahearingofallthepertinentmatters.

(i) AnysuspensionissuedbytheGeneralManagerortheDisciplineCommitteeofsevengamesorlessshallbewithoutrightofappeal.

(ii) Allautomaticsuspensionsshallbewithoutrightofappeal.(iii)AllotherdecisionoftheDisciplineCommitteeortheGeneralManagermadethatdonotfall

undersection6.3maybeappealedinwritingtotheClubandaccompaniedbytheprescribedfee.

(iv)OnceawrittenappealisreceivedwiththeprescribedfeetheClubwillsetahearingdateto

takeplacewithin7days.(v) Members of the Board of Directors who have direct connection with the charge and/or

individual(s)involvedshallnotvoteontheappeal.(vi) ThedecisionoftheClubshallbefinal.

6.5 SuspensionbytheClub6.5.1 A player, or Teamofficialmay be suspended for one ormore games at the discretion of the

DisciplinaryCommitteeforanyinfractionoutlinedintheHC/OHF/GTHL/ClubRulesofOperationand/orpolicies/Constitution/By-laws,committedimmediatelybefore,duringorafteragame,practice,oratanyCluborTeamFunction.

6.5.2 The Club wants its officials along with its team’s coaching staff, players and their parents/guardianstoprojectaprofessionalimageatalltimes.ToachievethisgoalSections7,8and9setouttheStandardsofConductexpectedbytheClubanditsmembers.ContraventionofthiscodeofconductmayresultinsuspensionbytheGeneralManagerand/orterminationbytheClub.

6.5.3 ItistheresponsibilityofthemembersofthecoachingstafftobecomefamiliarwiththeClubRules

ofOperationandpolicies,aswellastheaffiliatedorganization.(GTHL/OHF/HC)6.5.4 AnyviolationorfailuretocomplyfullywiththeClubConstitution,RulesofOperation,policies,By-

laws,CodeofConduct,FairPlayCodeoraffiliatedorganizationsrulesmayresultinthesuspensionand/orterminationoftheplayerorcoachingstaffmember.

6.5.5 SuspensionsandtheirlengthareatthediscretionoftheGeneralManagerandortheDiscipline

Committee.6.5.6 ThesesuspensionsmaybeinadditiontoanymandatorysuspensionissuedbytheOHF/GTHL6.5.7 TerminationofaplayeroramemberofthecoachingstaffisdonebytheClub.6.5.8 SuspendplayersorcoachingstaffmemberswillnotbereleasedfromtheirH.C.cardspriortothe

endofthecurrentseason.6.5.9 Suspendedplayers&coachesareprohibitedfromenteringthedressingroomorcorridorareafor

theperiodofonehourbeforeascheduledgameorpracticetoonehourfollowingthegameorpractice.

6.5.10 Suspendedplayers&coachesareprohibitedfromtheareaoftheplayersbenchduringagameor

practice,andshallnotattempttocommunicatewithplayersorcoachesduringthattime.SECTION7: RULESRELATINGTOPARENTS/GUARDIANS7.1 Notice,approvalsandauthorizations Any notice given to or approved or authorization granted by a parent/guardian of a player shall be deemed for all purposes to have given to or granted by all of the parents and/or guardiansofsuchplayer.7.2 PaymentofClubandTeamfees Theparents/guardiansresponsibleforeachplayershallmakeallpaymentsrequiredofsuchplayer

onatimelybasisinaccordancewithrulesprescribedfortheClubandTeam.FailuretomakesuchpaymentsatthetimeortimesprescribedmayresultinsuspensionoftheplayeruntiltheCluband/orTeamreceivesuchpayment.

7.3 Standardofconduct

Parents/guardians are expected to conduct themselves generally in a manner which bestexemplifiesthestandardsandvaluesoftheClub.Thismeansthatparents/guardiansmustremainpositive and demonstrate respect, courtesy, and civility in all dealings relating to their child’sinvolvementintheClubs’hockeyprogram,includingdealingswith:• TheClubandanyofitsteamsoritsofficials• Otherparents/guardiansofplayers

• Opposingteams,playersandofficials• Gameofficials• Fansandspectators

7.3.1 Provocativeandinflammatorytypesofbehaviour,includingtheuseofprofanity,threatsand

verbaland/orphysicalconfrontations,willnotbetolerated.7.3.2 Parents/Guardianswillbeexpectedtosigncodesofconductduringtheplayersigningprocess.7.3.3 Firsttimeparents/guardianswillberequiredtoattendaninformationHarassmentandAbuse

seminararrangedbytheClubpriortothestartotheregularseason.7.4 Sanctionsformisconduct

• Representtheirteamwithdignityatalltimes• Alwaysplaytothebestoftheirabilityandwithinthespiritoftruesportsmanshipby:(a) Showingrespectfortherulesofthegame,thegameofficialsandtheirdecisions,and

theiropponents.(b) Usingtheirbesteffortstomaintaincomposurewhileontheice,and(c) Refrainingfromtrashtalkingormakingimpropergestures,whetheronorofftheice.(d) Donottakepartinbullyingactivities.• Demonstraterespectfortheirteammatesandtreatthemfairlyandequally• MaketheircommitmenttotheTeam,itsprogramsanditsgoalsamajorpriority• Attend all games and other events prescribed by the team in accordance with the rules

establishedbytheHeadCoachfromtimetotime.• DemonstraterespectfortheircoachesandotherTeamOfficials• TheCluborTeamprovidestheequipment,unlessyouhaveyourownthatmeetstheClub’s

onicedresscode.• Whenusingclubequipmentandensurethatit(includinggamesweaters,socks,pants,gloves

&bag)ismaintainedinaproperstateofrepair.• GameSweatersaretobekeptcleanandingoodrepair.• AbidebytheClubandTeamdresscodeatalltimeswhichincludeswearinggamesweaters

andsocksonlyduringgamesandnotatpractices.• Refrainfromusingalcoholandprohibiteddrugs.• ActinaccordancewiththeFairPlayCodeforPlayers.

TheforegoinglistofobligationsisnotexhaustiveandmaybesupplementedbytheClubortheTeamfromtimetotimeupongivingtheplayerandhisorherparent/guardianreasonablenotice.

8.2 FairPlayCodeforPLAYERS

• IwillplayhockeybecauseIwantto,notjustbecauseothersorcoacheswantmeto.• Iwillplaybytherulesofhockey,andinthespiritofthegame.• Iwillcontrolmytemper–fightingand“mouthingoff”canspoiltheactivityforeverybody• Iwillrespectmyopponents.• Iwilldomybesttobeatrueteamplayer.• I will remember that winning isn’t everything – that having fun, improving skills, making

friendsanddoingmybestarealsoimportant.• Iwillacknowledgeallgoodplays/performances–thoseofmyteamandofmyopponents.• Iwillrememberthatcoachesandofficialsaretheretohelpme.Iwillaccepttheirdecisions

andshowthemrespect.8.3 Sanctionforbreachingobligations

TheClub,initsdiscretion,reservestherighttorestricttheicetime,suspendorreleaseanyplayerwhoisfoundbytheClubtohavebreachedanyoftheforegoingobligations.

8.4 Playerinjuryreturntoteam8.4.1 AnyplayerwhosuffersaSUSPECTEDConcussion (Brain injury )muststopparticipation in the

hockeyactivityimmediately.Ifthereisdoubtastowhetheraconcussionhasoccurred,itistobeassumed that it has and that theplayer’s parents/guardianbe encouraged to have the injury

properlydiagnosedatahospitalASAP.Ahockeyactivityisdefinedasanyon-iceoroff-iceteamfunctioninvolvingphysicalactivity.ANDanyplayerwhoisdiagnosedbyamedicalDoctorwithanygradeofconcussionmuststopparticipationinallhockeyactivitiesimmediately.Ahockeyactivityisdefinedasanyon-iceoroff-iceteamfunctioninvolvingphysicalactivity.

8.4.2 TeamOfficialsareresponsibletorecommendtotheindividual’sparentorguardianthattheyseek

medical attention immediately, especially if the injury incurred in any form of hockeyparticipation.

8.4.3 The participant is not permitted to return to any hockey activity until amedical Doctor giveswrittenpermission.

8.4.4 CopiesofsuchdocumentationMUSTbesubmittedtotheGTHLOfficepriortotheparticipants

returntoanyhockeyactivity.8.5 Allocationoficetimeforplayers8.5.1 Allplayerswillreceiveequitableicetimeinallgames,includingleague,playoff,exhibitionandtournaments.Thephrase“equitableicetime”shouldnotbeconfusedbyanyonewiththephrase“equalicetime”,howeverwiththeexceptionofdisciplinesituationsnoplayersaretobebenchedorhaveareductionintheiramountofplayingtime.8.5.2 Rep hockey does allow for the use of speciality lines for use during short-handed or man

advantagesituationsandstrongerplayersmaybeutilized for thesituations.Thecoach isalsogivenwide latitudewhen itcomestowhomheplaysduring the lastminuteof the1stand2ndperiodsandthelastfiveminutesofthethird.

8.5.3 TheseasonendsofficiallyonthedateselectedbythemembersoftheGTHLatthepreviousyears

A.G.M.Until that date, all games are there for the benefit and enjoyment of all players, andattendancecannotberestricted.Thecoachingstaffselectedandsignedalloftheplayers,andtheyaretobetreatedinanequitablefashionforthecompleteseason.

8.5.4 It is of paramount importance that the coaches communicate clearly and effectivelywith the

parentsthroughouttheseasonastowhatpositiontheirsonordaughterwillbeplayingandwhenchanges are made involving the player. The team manager, who should communicate thecoaches’decisionstotheteamparents,shouldideallydothisthroughouttheseason.

8.6 PlayingandpracticewithAffiliatedTeams

Thefollowingteamsareaffiliatedwitheachother:• MinorAtomandAtom• MinorPeeWeeandPeeWee• MinorBantamandBantam• MinorMidgetandMidgetJr.• MidgetJr.andMidget• MidgetandaffiliatedJuniorteam,ifany.

8.6.1 Wheneverpractical,playersshouldbemadeavailabletotheAffiliatedTeamsolongasitdoesnotconflictwithplayer(s)havingregardtothereasonablerequestoftheAffiliatedTeam.

8.6.2 Wheneverpractical,affiliatedplayersshouldpractisewiththeirAffiliatedTeams.TheHeadCoach

ofeachAffiliatedTeamwilljointlynumberandidentitytheplayerspractisingfromtimetotime.

8.4.3 AFFILIATEDPLAYERS(AP):

The Streetsville TigersHockeyClub (STHC) fully supports teamsand coachesusing affiliatedplayersprovidedtheyfollowtheapprovedprocessessetoutbytheSTHCandHockeyCanada.i. ThissectionoutlinesguidelinesfortheuseofAffiliatePlayer’s(AP)forregularseasonand

playoffgamesonly.ExhibitionandtournamentgameswillnotbeconsideredandareatthesolediscretionoftheAP’sheadcoach.

ii. ItisrecognizedthatinsomeinstancesateammayrequiretheuseofAP’s.However,theuseofAP’sisintendedwhentherequestingteamhasashortageof2ormoreplayersduetoillness,suspensions,injuries,etc.

iii. Eachtimeaplayeristoberequestedasanaffiliate,theAP’scoachMUSTbeasked(coach-to-coach). The requesting coach is not tomake an AP request directly to the player orplayer’sparents.

• Hockey Canada Regulation E.22 (E) & E.40. “Permission to use an affiliated player mustbeobtainedonagamebygamebasisfromtheplayer’soriginalteam”

iv. TheAP’sfirstpriorityistohisexistingteam-commitmenttotheteamtheAPisregisteredALWAYScomesfirst.

v. However,iftherequestingteammeetsthecriteriaofitemiiabove(short2ormoreplayers)andtheteamsstillcannotagreeifAP(s)willbeprovided,thematter,afterreviewingboththerequestandtherefusal,willbedecidedbytheSTHCGeneralManager.

vi. Notwithstandingitemv.above,itisatthesolediscretionoftheparentstoacceptorrefuseanAPrequest.However,theparentsmaybecontacteddirectlybytheGMifnecessary.

vii. AlthoughacoachmayrequestaspecificAP(s),theAP’scoachhasthefinaldecision(alongwiththeparents)astowhotheAP(s)willbe-“Allparentsandplayersaretobemadeawareofthisopportunityatthebeginningoftheyearandthatitisaprivilegeextendedtoplayersfor whom it would benefit their development while assisting the above team in a clubenvironment."

viii. CoachesarenottoabusetheAPprocedure.AP’sarenottobeusedtotakeicetimeawayfromotherteamplayers.TheAPsystemissetuptocoverplayershortagesof2ormoreplayersdue to illness, suspensions, vacationsandplayerabsencesdue to schoolworkorjobs.

8.7 Permissiontoskate

• PermissiontoskateformswillbeissuedbytheClub’sGeneralManager• Permissiontoskateformswillbehandedoutattheyearendplayer’sbanquet

8.8 Releases8.8.1 Oncearegistrationcardhasbeensigned,theClubwillnotgrantareleasetoaplayerexceptunder

compelling and unusual circumstances, which necessitates the severing of such player’srelationshipfromtheTeam,havingregardtothebestinterestsofallconcerned.TheClubshallmakethedeterminationoftheexistenceofsuchcircumstancesinitsabsolutediscretion.

8.8.2 AnyonerequestingareleasemustattendameetingwiththeClubGeneralManagertooutlinethereasonswhyareleaseshouldbeconsidered.FailuretomeetwillmeanthereleaserequestwillNOTbeconsidered.

8.8.2 NoreleaseshallbebindingontheClubunlessitisinwritingandsignedbyboththePresidentandtheGeneralManageroftheClub.

8.8.3 TeamofficialsrequestingareleasemustmakeitinwritingtotheGeneralManagerwhowill consideritandmakethedecision. 8.8.4 Nocardedteamofficialmayregisterwithorappearontheplayer’sbenchofanyteamof the

immediatehigheragelevelthantheteamhewasregisteredwiththepreviousseason,unlessthesaidofficialremainswithintheClub.

8.9 Cuts NoplayerwhoissignedtoHCcardwillbecutunless;8.9.1 It ismutually agreed by the Coach, the player, his parents and it is approved by theGeneral

Manager.8.9.2 PlayerreleaseswillbesubjecttotheapprovaloftheGeneralManagerandshallnotbeagreedto

orprovidedbythecoach.8.9.3 AnyrequestforareleasemustbemadeinwritingtotheGeneralManagerandallreleasesmust

receivefinalapprovaloftheClub.

SECTION9: RULESRELATINGTOTEAMOFFICIALS

9.1 CodeofConduct• Failingtoadheretotheonandofficedresscodes.• ShowingdisrespecttoanyleagueExecutivemember,fellowcoaches,teamofficials,players,

refereesandofficeofficials.• Theuseofprofanelanguagetowardsplayers,referees,andtimekeepers.• Theconsumingofalcoholpriortocontactwithplayersi.e.;ongamedaypriortogametime.• NotshowingloyaltytotheTigersHockeyClub.• Destroying,mishandlingorstealingproperty.• Smokingonthebenchorinthedressingroom.• Coachmissingagameorpracticeswithoutgoodreason.• Coachnot seeing that someonewould take charge inhis absenceor fornotnotifying the

GeneralManagerofhisabsence.• Coachesnotplayingplayersinanequitablefashion• NotactinginaccordancewiththeFairPlayCodeforCoaches.• NotwearingaCSAapprovedhockeyhelmetwhileontheiceconductingapractice.

9.2 FairPlayCodeforCOACHES• Iwillbereasonablewhenschedulinggamesandpractices,rememberingthatplayershave

otherinterestsandobligations.• Iwillteachmyplayerstoplayfairlyandtorespecttherules,officialsandopponents.• Iwillensurethatallplayersgetequalinstruction,supportandplayingtime.• Iwillnotridiculeoryellatmyplayersformakingamistakeorforperformingpoorly.• Iwillrememberthatplayersplaytohavefunandmustbeencouragedtohaveconfidencein

themselves.• I will make sure that equipment and facilities are safe and match the players’ ages and

abilities.

SECTION10: REFUNDS(Revised2016)

10.1AllplayerrefundsaresubjecttoadeductiontocovertheClubs’hardcostsandseasoncommitments.Theremainingmoneywillbepro-ratedbasedontheRefundFormula.

10.2IfyoudecidetoleavethetigerteamvoluntarilyyouforfeitandmustreturnallTigergame&PracticejerseysalongwiththeequipmentbagandTigerBrandedapparelbeforearefundchequewillbeissued.

Ifyouhavenotyetbeenissuedthisequipmentthissection10.2doesnotapply.

10.3RenegingonyourcommitmentisaseriousmatterforboththeClubandtheTeamyoumadethecommitmentto.Failingtohonouryourcommitmentalsocarriesseriousimplicationsandfinancialconsequences:

(a) YouforfeityourighttoallTigerequipmentandplayerapparelonceyouquit.

(b) YoumadeafinancialcommitmenttoboththeClubandtheteamwhichmustbetakenintoaccountandstillremainsevenwhenyouquitandwalkawayfromyourteam.TheClubandTeambasetheirbudgetsonthenumberofplayerssowhenyouwalkawayyoucreateundohardshipontheremainingplayersandtheClub.

10.6 Moneypaidtoateambyaparenttowardsteamfundraisingcommitments(arenotrefundable)

shallintheeventtheplayerleavestheteamwillbeuptotheindividualteamstodecideifanymoneyshouldbereturnedtotheplayerbasedonfinancialteamcommitments.Iftheteamdoesdecidetorefundaportionofyourteamfee’s,thenitshallbepro-ratedbasedonasixmonthplayingseason.

10.7 NOREFUNDSwillbegivenafterNovember.(GTHLReleasedate)

10.8 NoRefundChequeswillbeissueduntilallTigerbrandedequipmentandapparelisreturnedtotheclub.
