RULESOFOPERATIONTheseRulesareintendedtosetoutthecurrentoperatingrulesoftheStreetsvilleTigersHockeyClub(the“Club”),whichwillbeapplicabletotheTeamsandtheplayersduringthisperiod.Whiletheyareintendedtobecomprehensive, theRulesandPoliciesarenotexhaustiveand theClub reserves the right, in itsdiscretion,tomakesuchchangesandadditionsfromtimetotime,asitdeemsappropriate.Noticeofanychangesand/oradditionswillbegiventoTeamOfficialsand,whenappropriatetoparents/guardiansonatimelybasis.SECTION1: TEAMSREGISTERED

Club Directors have no direct responsibility for liaising or interactingwith TeamOfficials andparents/guardiansanddonotdealdirectlywithTeamaffairs.The President and the General Manager are responsible for administering the day-to-dayoperationsoftheClubandits’TeamsandallothermattersinanywayrelatingtotheGTHL,itsmembers,andotherhockeyorganizationsandgoverningbodies.UndernocircumstanceswilltheClubberesponsibleforanyobligations,financialorotherwise,incurredbyaTeam,unlesssuchobligationisapprovedinwritingandcontainedinadocumentsignedbythePresidentandtheGeneralManager.
3.4 TheClub’sresponsibilities SubjecttotheoverridingauthorityoftheGTHL,theClubhasexclusivecontroloveritsTeamsandplayersregisteredwiththeorganizationforallperiodssanctionedormandatedbytheGTHL.Inaddition to the foregoingand to theother rights reservedbelow, theClub shallhaveprimaryresponsibilityforthefollowing:
(d) Tournaments. The Club approves and processes tournament applications. If a conflict inscheduling between teams arises, the final determination as to the application to beprocessedwillbemadebytheClubinitsabsolutediscretion.
(e) Practice Ice. The Club provides each team with a practice ice each week on a regularlyscheduledbasis.AnyadditionalpracticeicerequiredistobearrangedbytheTeamatitsowncost.
(f) Equipment, Gear, Clothing and Merchandise. The Club provides each team with Clubmandated equipment, gear, clothing and merchandise including game sweaters, practicejerseys,socksandequipmentbags.
(g) DisciplinaryHearings.TheClub’sofficialsaccompanytheTeamOfficialsandplayer(s)toanydisciplinary hearings mandated by the GTHL. The Club reserves the right to exclude anyperson(s)fromadisciplinaryhearing,asitconsidersappropriateinitsabsolutediscretion.
TheClub’sPresidentwillreviewallproposedTeamfundraisingplanstoensurecompliancewithallClub,federal,provincialandmunicipallaws,by-lawsandregulations.IftheproposedfundraisermeetstheserequirementsHewillthensupplytheteamwithwrittenapprovalforthefundraisingplan. • Team applications for approval of a proposed team fund-raising activity must be

• Teamparentsarenottoapproachthecoachingstaffwithnegativecommentspriortoorimmediately following a game. A 24-hour cooling off period is to be observed beforespeakingtothecoachingstaff.
• AnymembersoftheClubExecutiveCommitteewhohavechildrenplayingonateamareto taketheirconcerns to theGeneralManagerbeforeapproachingtheteamcoachingstaff.
Each TeamOfficialmust be a person of good character and reputation and possess suchcredentials and qualifications as set out by the Club in the job descriptions andResponsibilities:SeeResponsibilitiesoftheTeamOfficials’(SeePolicy#00-04)
should be held prior to the commencement of the season and the othermeetings should bearrangedwheneverpracticaltocoincidewithdeliveryoftheteam’sfinancialsummariesreferredtoinsection5.4.ThepurposeofthemeetingswillbetoreviewthemattersofinterestrelatingtotheTeam,includingitsfinancialaffairs.
4.5.3 Anyteamfoundtoberesponsiblefordamagetoanyarenaorotherfacilitywillberequiredtocoverallcostsassociatedwiththeincident.Thecoachandanyplayerfoundtoberesponsibleforcausing the damage will be dealt with by the Club or its discipline committee and will facesuspensioninadditiontoanyothersanctionsapplied.
TheClubshallprovidetoaplayeroratleastoneoftheplayer’sparentsorhislegalguardian,priorto or at the time he signs a Registration Certificate, a statement disclosing the followinginformation regarding payments to bemade to ClubOfficials or TeamOfficials, or to relatedpersons:(a) PaymentstoClubOfficials,ortheirRelatedPersons
Awrittenstatementofthetotalamount,ifany,tobepaidbytheClubtoClubOfficialsortheirrelatedpersons,whetherbywayofsalaries,honorariumorotherwise;thenumberofpeopletowhomtheamountistobepaid:andabriefsummaryoftheactivitiesandcontributionsinreturnforwhichsuchpaymentismade.SuchdisclosuremaybemadeintheClubpoliciesorseparately.Iftheamountcannotbedeterminedforthecomingseason,theclubshalldisclosetheamountfrompreviousseasonsandthepolicybywhichsuchamountisdeterminedforthepurposeofthisdisclosure,neitherregularpaymentstoRelatedPersonsforofficework,refereeing,timekeepingorsimilarfunctionsthatarepaidatratespaidtoothernon-relatedpersonsprovidingsimilarservices,norreimbursementtoClubOfficials,orRelatedPersons,of legitimate out-of-pocket expenses pursuant to stated Club policy, need be taken intoaccount.
(b) PaymentstoTeamOfficials,ortheirRelatedPersons
OnaTeambyTeambasis,awrittenstatementofthetotalamount,ifany,tobepaidbythecluborteamwhetherbywayofsalaries,honorariumorotherwise;thenumberofpeopletowhomthatamountistobepaid:andabriefsummaryoftheactivitiesandcontributionsinreturnforwhichsuchpaymentismade.SuchdisclosuremaybemadeinClubPolicies,TeamPolicies,ifany,orseparately.Forthepurposeofthisdisclosure,neitherregularpaymentstoRelatedPersonsforofficework,refereeing,timekeepingorsimilarfunctionsthatarepaidatratespaidtoothernon-relatedpersonsprovidingsimilarservices,norreimbursementtoClubOfficials,orRelatedPersons,of legitimateout-of-pocketexpensespursuant tostatedClubpolicy,needbetakenintoaccount.If a TeamOfficial, or aRelatedPerson, is going to receive a salary, honorariumor similarpaymentfromanyparents(s)oftheTeam,oranyRelatedPerson,otherwisethatthroughtheCluborTeambudget,thensuchTeamOfficial(s)shalldisclosethefactofsuchpaymentsandthenamesoftheperson(s)makingsuchpayments.
TheClubshallprovidetoaplayerandatleastoneoftheplayer’sparentsorhislegalguardian,prior toorat thetimehesignsaRegistrationCertificate,astatement inwritingdisclosingtheinvolvementofanyClubOfficialorTeamOfficialwithsupplierswhoprovidegoodsorservicestotheClubthataremadepartofthegoodsorservicesprovidedbytheClubtoplayersorTeams.Thetypesofinvolvementtobedisclosed,withoutlimitingthegeneralityoftheforegoing,includeemployment,shareholding,orownership interestsofanykind,withsuppliersofequipmentorapparel purchased by the Club for delivery to Teams or its players, and employment orshareholding,orownershipinterestsofanykind,withsuppliersoficeorhockeyskillsprogramstotheClub,anyTeamoritsplayers.IfasupplierofgoodsorservicesischosenpursuanttoanopenandcompetitivebidprocesssetoutintheClub’sPolicies,thedisclosureunderthisRuleisnotmandatory.”
(c) Each team accountmust have at least three signing officers. Two signing officermust beindependentteamparentswhoarenotrelatedtoanyoftheTeamOfficials.
• AllMoniesassociatedwitheachTeamwillbedispersedsolelyforthoseplayersandthatteam, with the Clubs ethics of equitable team’s best interest in mind, and with theparents’knowledgeandconsent.
Note:Itmaybeappropriatetoreturnsurplus fundsat theendof theseasontoparents involved. Incertaincircumstances, it may be appropriate to return certain corporate contributions to the donor. Mostimportantly,theteamofficialandparents/guardiansshoulddeterminewhetheritisappropriatetoreturncertain corporate contributions as well as the equitablemethod of distributing any surplus funds toparents.5.5 TeamFinances5.5.1 Each Team will provide a monthly up-to-date financial statement to the Club through the

All matters relating to discipline or any matter dealing with an alleged contravention of theConstitution,RulesofOperationorPolicieswillbereferredtotheGeneralManager,exceptanyallegationofAbuse&HarassmentmustbereferredtotheHarassment&AbuseCo-ordinator.
The General Manager will handle all minor issues and/or refer them to the Club DisciplineCommitteeathisdiscretion.
6.4 DisciplineCommittee6.4.1 TheClubshallappointaDisciplineCommitteeconsistingofatleastthree(3)members, one of

Parents/guardians are expected to conduct themselves generally in a manner which bestexemplifiesthestandardsandvaluesoftheClub.Thismeansthatparents/guardiansmustremainpositive and demonstrate respect, courtesy, and civility in all dealings relating to their child’sinvolvementintheClubs’hockeyprogram,includingdealingswith:• TheClubandanyofitsteamsoritsofficials• Otherparents/guardiansofplayers
The Club reserves the right to discipline any parent/guardian who violates this standard ofbehaviourorwhoseactions,intheopinionoftheClub,denigrate,damageorbringsintodisreputetheimageandreputationoftheCluboritsClubandTeamOfficials.Suchdisciplinemayconsistofprohibiting such parent/guardian from attending team functions, practices or games for suchperiodsastheClub,initsdiscretion,considerappropriate.Failuretoabidebysuchsanctionsmayresultinthesuspensionorreleaseoftheplayerforwhomsuchparent/guardianisresponsible.

advantagesituationsandstrongerplayersmaybeutilized for thesituations.Thecoach isalsogivenwide latitudewhen itcomestowhomheplaysduring the lastminuteof the1stand2ndperiodsandthelastfiveminutesofthethird.
A.G.M.Until that date, all games are there for the benefit and enjoyment of all players, andattendancecannotberestricted.Thecoachingstaffselectedandsignedalloftheplayers,andtheyaretobetreatedinanequitablefashionforthecompleteseason.
8.5.4 It is of paramount importance that the coaches communicate clearly and effectivelywith the
parentsthroughouttheseasonastowhatpositiontheirsonordaughterwillbeplayingandwhenchanges are made involving the player. The team manager, who should communicate thecoaches’decisionstotheteamparents,shouldideallydothisthroughouttheseason.
ii. ItisrecognizedthatinsomeinstancesateammayrequiretheuseofAP’s.However,theuseofAP’sisintendedwhentherequestingteamhasashortageof2ormoreplayersduetoillness,suspensions,injuries,etc.
iii. Eachtimeaplayeristoberequestedasanaffiliate,theAP’scoachMUSTbeasked(coach-to-coach). The requesting coach is not tomake an AP request directly to the player orplayer’sparents.
• Hockey Canada Regulation E.22 (E) & E.40. “Permission to use an affiliated player mustbeobtainedonagamebygamebasisfromtheplayer’soriginalteam”
iv. TheAP’sfirstpriorityistohisexistingteam-commitmenttotheteamtheAPisregisteredALWAYScomesfirst.
v. However,iftherequestingteammeetsthecriteriaofitemiiabove(short2ormoreplayers)andtheteamsstillcannotagreeifAP(s)willbeprovided,thematter,afterreviewingboththerequestandtherefusal,willbedecidedbytheSTHCGeneralManager.
vi. Notwithstandingitemv.above,itisatthesolediscretionoftheparentstoacceptorrefuseanAPrequest.However,theparentsmaybecontacteddirectlybytheGMifnecessary.
vii. AlthoughacoachmayrequestaspecificAP(s),theAP’scoachhasthefinaldecision(alongwiththeparents)astowhotheAP(s)willbe-“Allparentsandplayersaretobemadeawareofthisopportunityatthebeginningoftheyearandthatitisaprivilegeextendedtoplayersfor whom it would benefit their development while assisting the above team in a clubenvironment."
viii. CoachesarenottoabusetheAPprocedure.AP’sarenottobeusedtotakeicetimeawayfromotherteamplayers.TheAPsystemissetuptocoverplayershortagesof2ormoreplayersdue to illness, suspensions, vacationsandplayerabsencesdue to schoolworkorjobs.
