ATHLETICSTiger Pride

First  of  all,  TIGER  PRIDE!

The  Culture,  Commitment  and  Competitiveness  philosophy  is  strong  and  vibrant  on  our  court,  Eields,  and  courses.Once  again  seven  of  our  X  Country  athletes  earned  medals  this  weekend  by  placing  in  their  races  at  the  Old  Pueblo  Invitational.  Tim  Hendrickson,  Quinn  ChofEin,  Jordan  Toone,  Mele  HalauEia,  Jessica  Platt,  Rhiana  Bourguet,  and  Katie  Kelly  all  placed  in  the  Top  Ten  of  their  respective  races.

The  Tigers  Men's  Golf  team    placed  in  the  top  5  of  the  Rivalry  Cup  Golf  Tournament  in  Phoenix  this  past  Friday  and  Saturday.  In  their  Tiger  Pride  fashion,  they  came  back  on  Saturday  hungry  with  3C's.  They  embraced  the  culture  by  committing  as  teammates  and  competing  like  true  Tiger  and  winning  the  match  for  Saturday.  Our  young  men  are  making  a  name  for  Marana  Golf  which  we  are  extremely  proud  of  them. The  Swim  team  did  very  well  against  Salpointe  and  St.  Augustines  in  their  meet  on  Wednesday.  The  swimming  Tigers  took  2nd  place  and  missed  Eirst  by  only  21  points.  They  showed  even  more  of  the  3's  at  the  Chandler  Invitational  this  weekend  by  having  a  few  close  qualiEiers  for  a  few  of  our  Tigers.  This  team  has  taken  a  grasp  of  the  competitiveness  of  the  3C's  and  is  showing  their  increasing  growth  as  competitors  in  DI.    As  I  am  sure  you  are  aware.....we  had  a  GREAT  week  for  Marana  Football.  Our  freshmen  played  in  prime  time  heat  and  defeated  Flowing  Wells.  Following  their  outstanding  performance,  the  JV  team  took  the  win  against  Amphi  in  front  of  a  huge  fan  base  on  Thursday  night.  Friday  Night  Lights  at  the  Tiger  Pride  Stadium  proved  to  be  victorious  for  our  Varsity  Tigers  against  the  Catalina  Trojans.

Choose a timekeeper. Give that person a watch with a second hand or a stop-watch feature. (Or set a timer

on a stove or microwave.) Line up family members against a wall. The timekeeper says, “Go” and

starts the clock. Everyone moves to the wall on the other side of the room. The goal is to get to the other wall in exactly one minute. If a family member

reaches the wall too soon or must slow way down just before reaching the wall, she loses that round. Play

a number of times to see if your family members get better at estimating a minute.
