TIANGUIS…PRELIMINARY RESULTS

¿Why hold a Tianguis?

Because the concept brings out the fact that each one has something to offer.

Because there is diversity in products and in producers.

Because there is peer exchange.

A tianguis is an open air market or bazaar traditionally held on certain market days in a town or city neighborhood in Mexico. This bazaar traditionally has roots well into the pre-Hispanic period and continues in many cases essentially unchanged. What do we come accross?

We find a mutual interest in knowing, learning, sharing, deepening and

networking between different actors: public and private.

It is important that the evidence collected in different settings becomes tools and mechanisms to contribute to countries and respond to demands on a permanent basis.
