Heavenly Father, Thank you that you are a generous God and that you give us so many good things. We are sorry that we are not always generous with others. Please help us this week to be kind, to do our very best, and to be generous when we are helping others. Amen. The week started off with some African drummers who talked to the children about the different drums and instruments and their origins. The hall was full of music and amazement as the children were so engrossed with the drummers. All the children got up on their feet and moved to the music. It was lovely to see and we know the children learnt so much. Throughout the week as well as their normal curriculum topics the children have learnt about different aspects of Africa through English, Maths and Geography to name just 3 areas!! Wow, what a fantastic book week never mind a day!! This week the whole school have focused on the book Amazing Africa’ by Atinuke.

A prayer you can say with your children during
Lent.
Heavenly Father, Thank you that you are a generous God and that
you give us so many good things. We are sorry that we are not always
generous with others. Please help us this week to be kind, to do our very
best, and to be generous when we are helping others. Amen.
The week started off with some African drummers
who talked to the children about the different drums
and instruments and their origins. The hall was full
of music and amazement as the children were so
engrossed with the drummers. All the children got
up on their feet and moved to the music. It was
lovely to see and we know the children learnt so
much. Throughout the week as well as their normal
curriculum topics the children have learnt about
different aspects of Africa through English, Maths
and Geography to name just 3 areas!!
