Please keep our eighth grade students in your prayers as they will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this evening at 7:00 p.m. Please note there will be no classes for the 8th grade students tomorrow. Students in grades PreK-7 will have regularly scheduled classes. You are cordially invited to join the students at the regular 8:00 am. Mass next Wednesday, February 24th. Thank you for your efforts in making sure that your child is punctual. During this Lenten Season you are also cordially invited to join us as we pray the Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 2:15 p.m. Please join us at the monthly Family Mass this coming Sunday, February 21st at 10:30 a.m. On behalf of the entire faculty, staff, and students, I would like to extend special thanks to our pastor, Father Ted Dzieszko for the delicious “paczki” treat last week Tuesday. They were enjoyed by all! I would like to take this opportunity and thank the entire School Board for sponsoring the recent Family Valentine’s Dinner Dance. It was truly a delightful evening for all who attended and was enjoyed by everyone. The evening was filled with great enthusiasm and celebration. My sincerest thanks and gratitude is extended to our chairperson, Mr. Scott Pavlik and all who assisted in the planning and preparations for this wonderful event especially Eileen Pavlik, Monika Rosol, Donna Rzepka, Agatha Kasprzyk, Rodel Pinpin, Jennifer Cyra, Magda Kapusta, Francisco Rodriguez, Nick Novak, Adam and Dabelim Drozd, Jim Gordon, the classroom teachers, families, students, and maintenance. I would also like to acknowledge and thank the many individuals who stepped in to assist us throughout the evening as needed. In addition, I would like to thank the many individuals/businesses for their generous donations. We are truly grateful for your support. Our total net profit from this event was $7,957.45. Congratulations to our Band Director, Mrs. Eileen Pavlik and all of our band students who participated in the National Catholic Band Association’s Solo Adjudication on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at St. Patrick High school. Each student performed a solo before a single judge, and that judge determined if that student deserved a gold medal (1), silver medal (2), or bronze medal (3). “P” stands for a perfect score in each of 6 categories. Help Wanted! The school currently has a Part-Time Janitorial Position available. The position is Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The job encompasses a variety of janitorial chores with additional seasonal responsibilities. As mentioned in last week’s correspondence, Mrs. Michaelene Kusz has submitted her notice of retirement and resignation effective Friday, March 25, 2016. This is to inform you that Mrs. Rosemary Zehentmaier has accepted the position beginning April 4, 2016 through the end of the school year. Mrs. Zehentmaier is qualified to teach Grades K-12 and has Middle School Endorsements in Social Science, along with grades 9-12 Anthropology and Sociology. Please remember to support our Class of 2016 in their fundraising efforts by ordering a cheesecake through their Gourmet Delight Cheesecake Fundraiser. All orders/payment are due on or before Monday, February 29th. Pick up of cheesecakes are scheduled for Friday, March 18th from 2:30-3:30 p.m.in Borowczyk Hall. This is a reminder that tomorrow is our scheduled Special Lunch Day. Please remember that if you did not preorder a lunch for your child to please send one from home, as there will be no regular food service available. This week we would like to thank you for the many delicious treats shared with us in honor of Valentine’s Day, especially the Gliwa family. They were enjoyed by all of us! Our Volleyball season is in full swing. Below is a list of the remaining home games. Please try to come to a game to cheer our teams on. Our eighth grade girls’ team has been undefeated so far. Please try to attend a game as part of your St. Constance school experience. Also if you are interested in joining our school’s sports program in the future, attending a game is a good way of seeing what the program is about.
