• Approval for the addition/modification of any equipment to the bike, MUST be obtained from the Head Referee up until 10 minutes afterthe end of the Athletes’ Briefing.

Athletes’ Lounge• Uniform + race gear check (name, country, logos, ITU logo,
zippers, race caps) – photos taken of each uniform.Wearing other uniform during the race = DSQ
• Body marking check (both arms, both legs)• Swim cap distribution• Timing chip distribution• Leave your bags in the Athletes’ lounge they will stay there

Transition Area• Helmet check – Don’t leave your helmet fastened in the transition
The athlete who do not comply with this rule will receive a time penalty of 10 seconds in TA1.

Air horn
The race startsAthletes not moving forward at the start will receive a time penaltyof10 seconds in TA1.
False start procedure
False start Example:• Several horn blasts• Kayaks in front of you• Everyone goes back to her/his spot
Valid start but with early starters:• If someone starts before the horn and everyone else starts
with the horn, the false starter will receive a time penalty of10 seconds in T1. (During the time penalty athlete cannottouch any equipment!)

Bike course contingency
• Depending on the weather there may be a decision to change the bike course.
• Cyclists will then NOT cycle through the place de la navigation
• Course will continue along the main road instead of turning left
• Decision made 1 hour before the race.

• Run penalty box is for infringements in Swim,T1, Bike,T2 and RunTransitions will be video recorded for infringements
• Location: 100m before the finish• Information: White board to show race numbers +code
(Athletes need to read the board)• Procedure: 10 second time penalty served on
any lap of the run.
• Athletes have the option to decide whether to stop at the penaltybox and serve the penalty or continue to the finish. Not stoppingwill result in DSQ on crossing the finish line. The athlete maythen appeal the penalty. Evidence will only be made available ifan appeal is filed.

PLEASE OBSERVE THE AMBUSH MARKETING RULES
Ambush marketing is defined as:
“Deliberately using the opportunity of live television and media photographers to acquire additional exposure for your sponsor product, apparel or brand.”
The consequence for this behavior is that the athlete will immediately forfeit their prize money for that event, if any.

• Location: Mövenpick - Olympia A• The Team Coaches will nominate the team members
• (maximum six 6- 4 starters and 2 reserves ) to the Head Referee
• Accreditation will be given at this time• Race pack distribution
• Four (4) body decals per athlete• Three (3) number decals for helmet per athlete• One (1) bike sticker per athlete• One (1) bag drop decal per athlete
• Timing chips and numbered swim caps are required and will be provided to mixed team relay athletes on race day at athletes lounge
Check-in: Athlete’s Lounge• All team members must check in together• Swim cap distribution + Checking of 2nd unbranded swim
caps (otherwise not allowed to wear)• Timing chip distribution (1 for the ankle)• 2nd, 3rd and 4th team member will collect the timing chip
& swim cap from the Relay Check-in Zone• Athletes MUST be in the Relay Check-in zone in time to
collect chip and be ready
Mixed Relay Procedures
Check-in: Transition Area• All team members must check in together• The 4th team member to leave their bike closest to the mount
line• Helmet check – Don’t leave your helmet fastened in the
transition• Any athlete who fails to comply with this rule will receive a time
penalty of 10 seconds in the PB.• Running shoes outside the box, helmet on the bike• The bike must be racked in the first transition by the rear wheel
and in the second transition by either of the wheels

The Course:• Swim: 1 lap of 300 m• Bike: 1 lap of 4.8 km • Run: 1 lap of 1.37km (Last Athlete runs 2.1km)

Pre Start – Athlete Introduction: • 10 minutes before start: line-up in
the Transition Area near dismountline.
• Team will get introduced and walktogether to the swim start.
• First Athlete stays left and jogs tothe swim start
• Select your position and staybehind the line! Blocking twopositions – immediate DSQ
• 2nd, 3rd, 4th Athletes go to Pre-Start tent. Wait until all teams are introduced then return to Athletes’ lounge.

directly at the Wheel Stops) or you may receive a time penalty• Lapped Teams will be removed

Run Course: • 1 lap of 1.37m, last athlete completes 2.1km• Aid stations:
• 1 per lap. • Sealed water
• Discard plastic bottles and litter in the Littering Zone 50m before or140m after the wheel stations
• Penalty box located just after the 180 degree turn

Relay Zone: • Prior to the relay exchange, the athletes will wait in the relay check
in zone until the moment when the Technical Official tells them toenter the relay zone. Athletes need to be present at the check in area.
• It is athletes’ responsibility to be there, to collect timing chip andbe ready
• The relay exchange from one team member to another will takeplace inside the “Relay Zone”

Relay Zone: • If the contact occurs unintentionally outside the Relay Exchange
Zone, the team will get a 10 second penalty. • If the contact occurs intentionally outside the Relay Exchange
Zone or not completed, the team will get a disqualification.• Keep both feet behind the relay line.

Accreditation All coaches have to collect accreditation to be able to enter the
venue. Only Coaches who have been registered from their NF into the
ITU online system are entitle for an accreditation

Course measurement
• The elite run course measurement is taking place atSaturday 16:15 - 16:45
• One accredited coach per NF is allowed on the course totake your own measurement for the U23 & Junior at thistime
• Coaches who want to participate must register with theChief Run TO following the athletes’ briefing.
